Assassin's Requiem
Volume 2: Chapter 1 - "Assassin's Requiem"

Requiem walked in the hallway of the palace nimbly, moving quietly and silently. He slipped easily past the unwary bodyguard, bringing himself closer to his final destination: the prince of the ruling kingdom.

However, when Requiem reached the prince's room, he discovered that he was not alone. Inside the room was a small man standing quietly beside the prince's bed, as if waiting for the arrival of Requiem.

"Who are you?" requiem asked warily, pulling his sword from its sheath.

"Call me Valtor," the man replied, "I am a secret agent from the neighboring kingdom who is after the prince."

Requiem looked at Valtor suspiciously. He doesn't like working with other people, let alone people he doesn't know. However, he knew that if Valtor threatened his mission, he would have to face it first.

"So, what should we do now?" ask Requiem.

Valtor smiled faintly. "simple. We worked together to kill the prince."

Requiem raised his eyebrows. "Why do you want to kill him?"

"There are political reasons associated with my kingdom" Valtor replied, "However, more importantly, the prince poses a threat to the security of the entire continent. He has a very dangerous plan."

Requiem pondered for a moment, weighing up Valtor's offer. He knew that he could not kill the prince alone, and working with Valtor might make his task easier. However, he also knows that Valtor may have a hidden agenda.

"I will cooperate with you," Requiem said eventually, "But if you try to destroy this mission, I will kill you."

Valtor nodded in agreement, and the two began to plan their attacks.

After a few hours, Valtor and Requiem started their action. They managed to outwit the palace guards and made it into the prince's room. However, when they opened the door of the prince's room, they found a shocking sight.

The prince was dead, his body lying on the bed, with a huge wound on his chest.

Requiem and Valtor looked at each other suspiciously. They both knew that they were not responsible for the prince's death, but something was not right with this situation.

Suddenly, they heard a voice from outside the room, the sound of people approaching. Valtor took a standby position, ready to face whoever was about to enter the room. Requiem asked Valtor to stay behind and hide, while he himself took a position at the door, with his hand ready to hold the weapon.

The person's voice was getting closer, and they could hear heavy footsteps outside the room door. Suddenly, the door opened violently, and before them appeared a knight wearing glittering war armor.

"Who are you?" ask the knight in a firm voice.

Requiem looked at the knight calmly. "We are guests of Prince Alaric. Is something wrong?"

The knight stared at Requiem sharply. "Prince Alaric is not in this city. You guys need to get out of here."

Requiem nodded and prepared to leave, but he suddenly felt something was amiss. There was something strange about the knight. He felt an extremely powerful magical power emanating from the knight's body, but it was not a magical power that an ordinary knight would normally possess.

Valtor who also felt the same way as Requiem, then appeared from behind and quickly took action.

"No, we won't just leave," Valtor said in a stern voice as he pulled out his sword.

The knight smiled cunningly. "You must know too much" he said as he drew his sword.

Requiem and Valtor were ready to fight the knight, but suddenly, the door of the room opened violently and several guards entered. They tried to catch the knight, but the knight easily defeated them.

Requiem and Valtor saw the confusion. The strength of the knight was too strong to be overcome by the two of them. However, then, they heard a voice coming from outside. The voice carried an extremely powerful magical power, and they could sense the aura of someone's extremely powerful presence.

"Please don't act recklessly" said the voice in a calm voice. "You both know the consequences of this act."

The knight looked fearfully and knelt before the voice. Requiem and Valtor looked towards the door, and they saw a man entering the room. The man was wearing a black robe and a turban that covered part of his face.

"Prince Alaric," Requiem said in shock.

The prince smiled at them. "I'm sorry for the inconvenience. That knight is a secret agent from another kingdom trying to take control of our kingdom."

Requiem and Valtor looked at each other, unsure if they should believe the prince's words. However, they felt the need to show respect and courtesy to the royal leader.

"We understand, Your Majesty," Requiem said in a calm voice. "However, we still feel the need to know more about this situation."

The prince nodded, "I understand. But now, I think it's time for us to rest. We'll discuss everything tomorrow morning."

Requiem and Valtor nodded and walked out of the prince's room. They headed to the room that the prince had reserved for them, and began to prepare to rest.

However, Requiem could not stop thinking about what had just happened. He felt that something was amiss, and he felt the need to know more about the secret agent. Carefully, he began to plan how to investigate further.

Requiem pondered for a moment, looking for a way to investigate the secret agent without attracting the attention of the prince or the people around him. After thinking for a moment, he decided to talk to the people around the palace and find out more about the political situation in the kingdom.

Carefully, he spoke to some servants and soldiers, who told him about the rivalry and rivalry between the several kingdoms in the area. They also told him that the prince was often shunned by some members of the palace, who felt that he was unfit to lead.

Requiem recorded all the information he had obtained and began formulating a plan to investigate the secret agent further. After careful thought, he decided to visit a witch who lived in a nearby town, who was reportedly very skilled at doing black magic.

After carefully planning everything, Requiem and Valtor exited the palace at night, heading for the nearby town. After walking for about three hours, they finally arrived at the witch's house.

The witch greeted them kindly and they began to talk about their problems. After listening carefully, the witch offers to assist them in uncovering the truth behind the secret agent.

They spent the night discussing and planning strategies. With the help of the witch, Requiem and Valtor return to the palace in the morning, ready to continue their investigation.

"We know that the prince is also innocent of this incident" Requiem said. "And we will help to uncover this conspiracy and find out who is responsible for the knight's death."

Prince nodded. "I appreciate your help" he said. "I will give you full access to the entire kingdom and all the information I have to assist in this investigation."

Requiem and Valtor looked at each other, they knew that this would be an arduous task. However, they were confident that they could finish it together. They get ready to begin their investigation and uncover the truth behind this conspiracy.

In the weeks that followed, Requiem, Valtor, and the prince teamed up to gather evidence and find out who was responsible for this conspiracy. They discover that there is a secret group that wants to take power in the kingdom, and they have recruited secret agents to help them.

After various elaborate investigation efforts, they finally found enough evidence to bring the perpetrators to justice. Requiem and Valtor teamed up with the prince to try the secret group and bring them to justice. They were all sentenced to death for treason and conspiracy.

After the incident, the prince invited Requiem and Valtor to his palace to thank them for their help. "I'll never be able to thank you as much as I should for the two of you" he said. "You have saved this kingdom and my life. You two are heroes to us."

Requiem and Valtor smiled, relieved that they had completed their task well. They left the palace feeling proud and satisfied for what they had done. Although they know that there are other tasks awaiting them in the future, they are ready to face them with passion and determination.

Requiem nodded. "I'll make sure they're safe" he said.

The prince smiled. "Thank you, Requiem. I believe in your ability to complete tasks with professionalism."

Requiem and Valtor then leave the palace and continue their journey to a nearby town, where they are scheduled to meet a witch who can provide more information about the conspiracy going on.

Upon arriving in the city, they find out the whereabouts of the witch and eventually find her in a hideout outside the city. After providing the identification code, Requiem and Valtor were allowed to go inside.

They meet the witch, an old woman with sharp eyes and a long beard. He recognized Requiem and greeted them warmly.

"What can I do for you?" ask the witch.

Requiem explains their situation and asks the witch for help to provide more information about the conspiracy going on. The witch pondered for a moment, then took a book off the shelf and began to open its pages.

"This is an old history book about the kingdoms of this continent," the witch said as she showed a marked page. "Here is recorded of the prince and his family."

Requiem and Valtor read carefully. They discover that the prince's family does have a dark history associated with power and abuse of power.

"The prince was probably trying to protect himself and his family" Valtor said. "But how can we prove that?"

Requiem nodded. "We need to find stronger evidence. Do you know of any other places that can provide useful information?"

The magician pondered for a moment, then took out a crystal from under the table. "This is a vision crystal," he said. "It can help us see images remotely. It might help you find the evidence you need."

Requiem and Valtor thanked him and left the hideout. They then split up to look for information in different places.

Requiem uses vision crystals to track the activities of the prince and his family. He discovers that they are indeed involved in a conspiracy to take control of the kingdom, but Requiem also finds evidence that they are also trying to protect the kingdom from outside threats.

After several weeks of gathering evidence and contacting reliable allies, Requiem and Valtor returned to the palace to give their evidence to the prince. They entered the throne room, where the prince was waiting for them.

"Prince," Requiem said politely, "we found evidence that there are foreign powers trying to take over your kingdom and put their agents as your knights."

The prince nodded, "I've suspected this from the very beginning. Thank you for your hard work, Requiem."

"Of course, Prince. I'm happy to be able to help" Requiem replied.

"Prince, we will need your help to uncover who is actually responsible for this conspiracy" Valtor said.

"You can count on my support," the prince replied firmly.

They work together to prepare a strategy to deal with the foreign powers. After several weeks of preparing themselves, they were finally ready to fight.

When an army of foreign powers came, they were greeted by a royal army led by the Prince and Requiem. A fierce battle ensued, but eventually the forces of foreign powers were defeated.

After the defeat of the foreign forces, Requiem was given a new task by the prince to lead the royal knight army. Requiem accepted the task with pride and promised to always protect the kingdom and the prince with everything he had.

The Prince continued to entrust Requiem and Valtor with greater and more difficult tasks, but they were always ready to deal with them with professionalism and dedication. And in every battle and mission, they always remember the values of friendship and sacrifice they have learned together.

After entering the palace, they were immediately blocked by the guard troops. However, Valtor quickly shows his royal badge and tells that they want to talk to the prince.

They were allowed to enter the palace and eventually met the prince. Requiem explains that he has found evidence that the King's murder was the result of a conspiracy from another kingdom, and that the prince is innocent as alleged.

The prince was shocked and angry. He feels betrayed by those around him and is determined to take revenge. Requiem and Valtor suggest that princes should use the evidence they have gathered to take appropriate action, rather than just acting with emotion.

After some time, the prince and Requiem held a meeting with some royal officials and revealed the evidence they found. The officials were shocked and stated that they would examine the evidence and take appropriate action.

A few days later, the prince invited Requiem and Valtor to meet him. He tells them that the evidence they have found has proved his innocence, and that they have managed to prove the truth and uncover a hidden conspiracy.

The prince thanked them and gave a big gift as a token of gratitude for their services. Requiem and Valtor accept the gift and part with the prince in relief as they have successfully completed their mission and provided justice for the prince and his kingdom.

As soon as Prince Danon entered the room, Valtor took a standby position while Requiem noticed Danon's every move. However, Prince Danon showed a friendly attitude and greeted them with a smile.

"I apologize for the inconvenience we gave you earlier" Danon said politely. "I understand that I've made a big mistake, and I want to apologize to you both."

Requiem and Valtor were surprised by Prince Danon's sudden attitude of being more open and self-deprecating. However, they remained vigilant and did not respond to the apology.

"Prince Danon, what is the meaning of your visit this time?" ask Requiem in a firm voice.

Danon seemed a little surprised by Requiem's attitude of not directly forgiving his mistake. However, he still replied politely, "I want to give you an explanation of what happened some time ago and ask for your help."

Requiem and Valtor looked at each other. They knew that if Prince Danon visited them with good intentions, then it should have something to do with the great conspiracy they were exploring.

"Alright, I'll listen to your explanation," Requiem finally said.

Danon begins to explain that his kingdom is being attacked by a group of evil witches who want to seize the throne from Danon's hands. That group of magicians possessed immense power and were hard to defeat by the royal army that was currently available.

"I know you're both highly skilled and trustworthy hit men" Danon said. "I would like to ask you to help us fight against that group of witches and restore peace in our kingdom."

Requiem and Valtor looked at each other for a moment, discussing secretly about Prince Danon's offer. Eventually, they agree to help, though they remain vigilant and do not fully trust Prince Danon.

"Alright, we will help you," Requiem said firmly. "However, we also want to know more about the great conspiracy that is going on in this kingdom. We want to know who's behind all this."

Danon seemed rather surprised by the request. However, he pondered for a moment before finally replying, "I also want to know who is the mastermind behind all this. I am sure that the evil witch is the same person who is trying to take control of our kingdom."

Requiem and Valtor looked at each other again. They realize that they must team up with Prince Danon to uncover a huge conspiracy that is going on in the kingdom.

"Alright, we'll help you," Requiem finally said.

Prince Danon smiled with relief. "thank you. I know I can count on you both."

Afterwards, Requiem, Valtor, and Prince Danon plan to lead a movement to uncover a conspiracy and confront the traitors in the kingdom. They cooperate with secret agents and knights loyal to the kingdom, and slowly but surely, they gather evidence and important information.

However, the deeper they investigate, the more secrets and intrigue are revealed. They discover that the conspiracy involves not only traitors within the kingdom, but also other kingdoms seeking to take power.

Requiem, Valtor, and Prince Danon must decide on the best strategy to overcome the conspiracy. They decided to take the drastic step of revealing all the evidence they had gathered before the people of the kingdom, including the involvement of other kingdoms in the conspiracy.

The action worked. With the help of Requiem, Valtor, Prince Danon, and his supporters, the conspiracy is revealed and the traitor is punished according to his deeds. The kingdom was successfully restored, and Prince Danon gained greater support and recognition from the people.

Requiem and Valtor congratulate Prince Danon on his victory and are ready to continue their journey as hitmen. However, before they parted ways, Prince Danon gave them an offer they could not refuse.

"Do you two want to join my royal security forces?" ask Prince Danon.

Requiem and Valtor looked at each other. They feel that the offer is an opportunity to change their lives and do good by using their skills. After careful consideration, the two of them agreed to the offer.

Thus, Requiem and Valtor no longer work as assassins, but join the kingdom's security forces. They prove that they are not only cold and merciless killers, but also human beings with a kind heart and a strong determination to do good.

Prince Danon smiled with relief. "Thank you for the help. I know I can count on you two to help uncover the truth and stop this conspiracy."

Requiem and Valtor nodded, and then they went back to work. They devise a plan to infiltrate enemy headquarters and retrieve enough evidence to prove the truth behind the conspiracy.

After a few days, Requiem, Valtor, and Prince Danon launched an attack on the enemy headquarters. They managed to enter undetected, and after evading some traps and taking down some guards, they managed to find the evidence they needed.

However, while they were out of the base, they were ambushed by more enemies. Requiem, Valtor, and Prince Danon fought vigorously, but unfortunately they were pushed back and nearly lost.

Suddenly, help came from an ally they had not expected. A witch appears and uses her powers to help them fight the enemy. In a short time, they managed to defeat the enemy and escape from the base.

When they returned to the palace, they gave evidence to the king and queen. The truth is finally revealed, and the conspiracy is stopped. Prince Danon was restored as the rightful heir to the throne, and Requiem and Valtor were honored for their services in helping save the kingdom.

After finishing with their task, Requiem and Valtor decided to part ways and move on with each other's lives. However, they retain unforgettable memories of their friendship and the experiences they shared.

Requiem took a deep breath. "It's time we face our enemies with the courage and strength we have. I am ready to protect this kingdom and uncover the hidden truth. You two ready?"

Prince Danon and Knight Garth nodded, indicating that they were ready.

They then moved towards the royal center building which was allegedly the meeting place of the conspirators. Requiem and the Knight Garth stand guard outside, while Prince Danon goes inside to get further evidence.

Not long after, there was a noise coming from inside the building. Requiem and the Knight Garth rush in to help Prince Danon. They find Prince Danon fighting with some secret agents who look familiar to them.

Requiem and Knight Garth join the fight. A fierce fight ensues, but they eventually defeat the secret agents and discover important documents that uncover the truth behind the conspiracy.

After gathering the necessary evidence, they brought the documents before the King to inform him of what had happened. The king was shocked and outraged at the betrayal of the secret agents and the betrayal of other kingdoms. However, he was very grateful for the hard work and sacrifices made by Requiem, Prince Danon, and the Knights of Garth to uncover that truth.

After that, Requiem returned to being a legendary assassin. However, he never forgot the experience he had together with Prince Danon and the Knight Garth. They remain friends and are always ready to help each other in the face of future challenges. Eventually, the world came back to peace and Requiem was able to resume his life as the best assassin in the world.

They moved from place to place, talking to merchants, witches, and other important people in the city. They infiltrate secret meetings, steal important documents, and gather invaluable information about ongoing conspiracy activities.

On their way, they encounter several important people, including an old witch who has information about an ancient prophecy that can help them uncover the truth behind the conspiracy. They also meet a stubborn knight warrior who ends up joining them on their mission.

He knows that face. That person was a secret agent from the kingdom who hired Requiem to kill Prince Danon.

Requiem and Valtor looked at each other in confusion and surprise. What does all this mean? Why did the kingdom want to kill Prince Danon, and who exactly was behind this conspiracy?

After an entire week of trying, Requiem and Prince Danon manage to gather enough evidence to prove a conspiracy and stop the evil ambitions of Knight Aiden. They gather these evidences and expose them to King Andros, who is greatly shocked and angered to hear that one of his royal secret agents was involved in the conspiracy.

"You have done a very important task for this kingdom, Requiem and Prince Danon" King Andros said with gratitude. "You have revealed a very dangerous conspiracy and saved our kingdom from destruction."

When Requiem and Prince Danon left the palace, they were greeted by royal citizens who cheered and thanked him for his services. "You are our heroes!" shouted one of the villagers. "Thank you for saving us from their evil ambitions."

Requiem smiled and felt proud. After years of working as a hitman, he finally felt the meaning of happiness and satisfaction in saving others. And along with Prince Danon and Valtor, she feels that she has found a new family that will always support her.

The story of Requiem will still continue, but at least at this point, he finds peace and a place he can call home.

They arrived at an old building in the corner of the city. The building looked empty, but Requiem could feel a strong presence of energy from within.

"Let's go in" Requiem said as he opened the building's door.

They walked through the dark corridors and up the dusty stairs. Finally, they arrived at a large, brightly lit room with many candles and mystical objects scattered throughout the room.

Suddenly, someone came out from the shadows. That person was an old witch with a long beard and a red hat.

"Welcome, Requiem," the magician said with a smile. "I've been waiting for your arrival."

Requiem looked at the witch suspiciously. "Who are you?"

"I am the leader of a group of magicians who have allied themselves with knights and secret agents to take control of this kingdom. And now, I will end your life," the witch replied as she raised her hand and unleashed a magical attack.

Requiem quickly responded and dodged the attack. He drew his sword and attacked back. A fierce battle was going on between them. Requiem struggled tenaciously, but the witch proved to be extremely powerful. Valtor and Prince Danon were also involved in the fight.

However, they eventually manage to defeat the witch and uncover her evil plans to take over the kingdom. Requiem and his allies were respected and recognized for their service to save the kingdom. Prince Danon took the throne and made Requiem and Valtor his advisors.

Requiem is happy to have new friends and a place where he truly feels valued. He finds redemption and the purpose of his life, as well as the friend he desperately needs. And in that peaceful kingdom, Requiem lived as a different person, as a hero.
