Assassin's Requiem
Chapter 5

Requiem and Alaric rode their horses through the night, heading towards the northwest, where they met with secret agents. They talked a little during the journey, staring at each other with mutual distrust.

Suddenly, Alaric's horse stopped in the middle of the journey, leaving Requiem shocked. He looked ahead and saw that something was in the way that was blocking them. As they approached, they saw that it was a group of masked people waiting for them.

Requiem and Alaric got off their horses, ready for battle. However, the masked man did not attack them. Instead, they gave a message to Requiem, which surprised him.

"You have been ordered to kill the prince by someone who has ulterior motives. Don't let yourself be their tool. Find the truth and do what's right."

After giving the message, the masked man left, leaving Requiem and Alaric in confusion. Requiem knew that the message was true, and he felt more confident that he should seek the truth behind this conspiracy.

They finally arrive at the rendezvous with the secret agent, in an old warehouse on the outskirts of town. The secret agent greeted them kindly and provided important information about the prince and the conspiracy going on.

"I heard that the prince was a victim in a larger conspiracy" the secret agent said.

Requiem and Alaric look at each other, both convinced that they must fight for the truth.

"They can't get what they want" Requiem said with determination.

They left the barn and returned to their horses, continuing their journey. Requiem and Alaric now fight to save the prince and uncover the truth behind the dangerous conspiracy.

After Requiem confirmed the safety around their hideout, he discovered that Selene had brought some medication to help treat her injuries. Requiem thanked him, then continued his conversation with Aiden.

"What are we doing now?" ask Requiem.

"I'll contact the other secret agents and report what we've found. We need to set up a strategy to confront this conspiracy" Aiden replied.

"In the meantime, I'll gather information about Prince Erik" Selene added. "I have some contacts in the kingdom who might be able to help."

Requiem nodded. "We need all the information we can get. And before we do anything, I want to know what's going on behind the scenes. Someone out there has a big plan and we have to stop it before it's too late."

After several hours of gathering information, they realize that this conspiracy involves several kingdoms and secret agents from around the world. Requiem and Selene manage to find some secret documents that reveal that Prince Erik has established a relationship with a group of people who want to take over the kingdom and expand their influence around the world.

Requiem and his team plan an attack on Prince Erik's kingdom and manage to enter undetected. They managed to find Prince Erik and took him to their hiding place. However, on the way back, they were attacked by troops sent by the conspirators.

They fought desperately to survive, and in the end they managed to escape and take Prince Erik to a safer place. After Prince Erik realized what had happened, he felt shocked and heartbroken. He felt guilty for allowing himself to be deceived by the conspirators.

Requiem and his team successfully helped Prince Erik to devise a plan to confront the conspirators and take control of his kingdom. After a few weeks, their plan was successfully implemented and the conspirators were defeated. Prince Erik became a wise ruler and managed to build his kingdom into a better and fair one for everyone.

Requiem and his team are recognized as heroes who have saved the kingdom from destruction and returned to their lives as respected hitmen. However, this experience changed their lives forever. They learn that truth and justice are more important than money and power, and that friendship and sacrifice can bring about positive change in a world of conflict and uncertainty.

When they arrived in the city, Requiem sensed the presence of many witches. He knew that the prince of the kingdom had many enemies, and some of them might have hired witches to kill him.

They looked for lodging and stayed there for a few days. Requiem tries to find out more about the prince and the conspiracy behind him. He meets some people who have useful information, but all that information just makes the puzzle even more elusive.

At night, while Requiem was sleeping, he woke up feeling that someone was trying to kill him. He soon realized that someone had entered his room and tried to torture him. He quickly jumped out of his bed and pulled out his sword, ready to fight. But as he scanned closer, he saw that the person in front of him was a knight in uniform.

"Who are you?" ask Requiem in a slow voice.

"I am the knight of this kingdom" the knight replied. "I came to help you. I heard about your assignment and I know that you're caught up in a dangerous conspiracy. I have information that might help you."

Requiem put down his sword and approached the knight. He felt suspicious, but he also knew that he could not complete his own task. He must accept help from others if he wants to succeed.

"What's your information?" ask Requiem.

"You must meet a witch named Marcella" said the knight. "He knows a lot about this conspiracy and may be able to give you clues about what really happened."

Requiem pondered those words. He knew that he needed to seek help from people who were more skilled in the wizarding world. He agrees to meet Marcella and the knight leads her to the witch's residence.

They arrived at a large mansion decorated with a wide variety of magical symbols and artifacts. The knight tells Requiem that Marcella is a very famous and respected witch, and that she must be careful in dealing with him.

Requiem entered the house and found Marcella sitting in the living room. He looked old and wise, and Requiem felt a strong magical power emanating from him.

"What brought you here?" ask Marcella.

Requiem explains his duties and seeks help from Marcella. He hopes the witch can provide clues about what really happened and help him uncover the conspiracy.

Marcella listened carefully and thought for a while. He finally nodded and said, "I can help you, but there is one condition."

Requiem looked at Marcella attentively, "What are the conditions?"

Marcella replied seriously, "I have to know who your client is and what their motivation is to kill the Prince."

Requiem hesitated, "I can't tell you that. It violates my code of conduct as a hit man."

Requiem pondered for a moment, realizing that Marcella was right. He decides to provide enough information to convince Marcella, without leaking the identity of the client.

"He was a very ambitious noble and wanted to seize the throne. He regards the Prince as a threat to his power and wants to eliminate his rivals" Requiem replied.

Marcella nodded, "I will help you. But we have to be careful. We can't risk anything. I will help you infiltrate the palace and find a way to find the Prince."

Requiem was relieved to get Marcella's help. They decide to meet back at a suburban cafe at night.

After their meeting, Requiem worked hard to prepare himself. He set up a trap by tricking the palace guards and infiltrating the building in the middle of the night. After wandering around the building, he found the sleeping Prince in his room.

Requiem infiltrated the room carefully and prepared to kill the Prince. But when he looked at the young Prince's face and looked into his eyes, something felt wrong.

He pondered for a moment and decided to make a difficult decision. He left the Prince's room without doing anything.

The next morning, Requiem met Marcella at the cafe. He told her that he could not kill the Prince.

"Why?" marcella asked in surprise.

"There's something strange. I feel that he is innocent" Requiem replied.

Marcella nodded, "I believe you. But what are we gonna do now?"

Requiem thought for a while before saying, "We should find out what is going on behind this task. We need to find out who my clients are and what they really want."

Marcella nodded, "I agree. We need to figure out who's behind all this and stop them before it's too late."

They begin to plan their strategy and look for the information they need to complete their mission. Requiem revealed that he had some contacts inside the palace that could help him obtain the necessary information. Marcella offers her skills as a witch to help them complete this task.

They decided to start their mission that night as well. Requiem would enter the palace through the roof and seek information from his contacts, while Marcella would wait outside to provide magical support if needed.

Requiem managed to enter the palace undetected and managed to meet with his contact. He got very useful information about the prince's secret plan and what was really going on in the palace.

Suddenly, there was an alarm. They all knew that the situation was becoming more dangerous. Requiem ran out of the palace and met Marcella, who was ready to help him.

They started the escape action, but the palace guard troops were already chasing them. Marcella used her magic to block and slow down the guard. Requiem used his fighting skills to overcome the guard troops that had managed to catch up to them.

However, in the midst of the battle, Marcella was seriously injured. Requiem realizes that he must take Marcella to safety as soon as possible. He manages to take Marcella to their hideout and tries to save her life.

In Marcella's final moments of life, she talks to Requiem and reveals that she has discovered something very important about the prince's secret plan and that this is the key to stopping the conspiracy.

In grief, Requiem ponders about Marcella's death and vows to complete this task in honor of Marcella's memory. He knew that he had to act quickly and accurately to stop the prince's plan before it was too late.

The two of them came out of the inn and walked towards the location of the royal feast to be held in the palace. Requiem noticed every detail along the way, trying to avoid the crowd and sneaking through the small alleys.

When they arrived at the palace gate, they discovered that there were many bodyguards around. Requiem watched carefully their movements and paid attention to their patrol positions and patterns.

"We need to find a way in that's more unguarded" said Marcella, "It's going to be tough."

Requiem nodded and moved quickly, directing them into a small, invisible passageway. They continued to creep along the walls, keeping a distance from the bodyguards that walked along their patrol lines.

After a while, they found the entrance to the palace less awake. Requiem checked the surroundings, making sure that no bodyguards saw them.

They entered the palace and started looking for the prince. They searched every corner, but could not find it.

"It seems that he's not here" Requiem said, "We should look elsewhere."

They came out of the palace and started looking for princes in other places in the city. After a while, they finally found her in a luxurious mansion in the suburbs.

Requiem and Marcella tried to break into the house undetected. They walked along the hallway, looking for the prince. After a while, they found the prince sitting in the living room with a few people.

"We have to take it and get out of here" Requiem said.

Marcella nodded and they moved quickly, attacking the bodyguards and bringing the prince out of the house.

They managed to get out of the house, but they were attacked by bodyguards chasing them. Requiem and Marcella tried to fight the bodyguards, and in the fight, Marcella was seriously injured.

Requiem attempted to take Marcella to safety, but she was too late. Marcella died in his arms.

Requiem felt sad and angry, but he also knew that he had to finish his task. He took the prince to safety and handed him over to his client.

After completing his task, Requiem contemplates losing Marcella and vows to stop a larger conspiracy that caused all this to happen.
