Assassin's Requiem
Chapter 8

Requiem sat by the river, enjoying the cool breeze at night. He was pondering about what had happened, and how everything had changed in the past few days. He never thought that he would cooperate with others to save the kingdom, or even have such close friends as now.

But now, she sits there with her new friend, who calls herself Mira. Mira is a smart and passionate witch, and Requiem is comfortable with her existence. They had talked about many things over the past few days, and Requiem felt like he had found someone trustworthy.

However, his mind was immediately cut off when he recalled about his original task. He still had to kill the prince, although now he knew that the prince was not a threat to the kingdom. He felt depressed by this thought, and wished there was another way.

Mira saw that Requiem was thinking of something. "What are you thinking?" tanyakanya.

Requiem shook his head. "It's complicated. I still have to kill the prince, but I know he's innocent."

Mira raised her eyebrows. "You can let him live. You have the power to make that decision."

Requiem shook his head. "No. I have to follow orders. That's what I always do."

Mira smiles. "You can do something different this time. You can make a difference."

Requiem pondered Mira's words. He's never thought about that before. He always followed orders, no matter what the consequences were. But is that really the right way?

They sat together by the river, pondering their own thoughts. Suddenly, Requiem felt something strange. He felt a magical power coming from far away.

"What's that?" ask her to Mira.

Mira pondered for a moment, then raised her hand and felt that power as well. "It's from the city. Something's going on there."

Requiem felt his adrenaline rush up. He must act quickly. He stood up and took his gun.

"Let's go" said Requiem.

Mira nodded and followed Requiem. They ran towards the city, ready to face any danger that might lie ahead.

When they arrived at the city, they saw a terrifying sight. There was fire and smoke coming out of the buildings around them. People were running in the street and screaming in fear. Requiem and his group soon realize that the city has been attacked.

"Let's check the intelligence office first" Requiem said firmly. "There may be information about who carried out this attack."

They ran to the intelligence office, located in the city center. When they got there, they saw that the building had fallen apart. Debris was strewn all around, and flames were still burning in some places. Requiem felt a little desperate, but he decided to look for clues there.

They entered the destroyed building and began to search around it. They found several documents that survived the fire, and Requiem managed to find evidence that revealed the identity of the attackers.

"This is proof that they are troops from the neighboring kingdom" Requiem said, showing the documents to his colleagues. "They attacked this city on the grounds that we refused to join their kingdom."

Requiem's group plans to confront the attackers, but they realize they can't do it alone. They decided to seek help from the knights and witches who were in the city.

After a while of searching, they managed to find a group of knights consisting of trained and brave soldiers. They also find a group of witches ready to help fight the enemy forces. With their help, the Requiem group prepared to face the invading forces.

When they arrived at the scene of the battle, they found an extremely large and well-trained enemy army. However, they did not back down and chose to fight back tenaciously. The battle was fierce, with swords and magic constantly beeping through the air. However, with the help of knights and magicians, the Requiem group managed to win the battle.

They defeated the enemy forces and took some prisoners as evidence for the crimes they committed. Requiem and his group managed to stop the invasion and save the city from destruction. Nevertheless, Requiem felt that there were more conspiracies to be uncovered. He and his group are ready to continue their quest to uncover even greater truths.

Requiem stared at the fire and wondered what had happened. However, they did not have time to linger as they had to immediately find a refuge.

"Let's find a safe place to take temporary shelter" the prince said.

They ran through streets filled with unrest and chaos, seeking safe havens. Some of the buildings appear to have burned to the ground, while others appear to be intact. Finally, they found an old church that was still standing.

"Here!" requiem said as he pointed towards the church.

They entered the church and closed the door behind them. They took a deep breath, feeling relieved as they were finally safe. But outside things are getting worse.

Requiem stared out the window and saw an angry mob start to approach the church. They were armed with stones and other simple weapons, and looked extremely angry. Requiem and the Prince looked at each other, then decided to fight back if necessary.

Moments later, the mob arrived at the door of the church. They shouted and threatened to burn down the church and kill everything inside. Requiem drew his sword and was ready to fight.

"Don't be afraid" said the old woman, "I can help you."

He spoke in a calm voice, but sounded powerful amidst the unrest. He raised his hand and said some incomprehensible words.

Suddenly, the atmosphere outside the church calmed down. The crowd was silent and looked stunned by the power of the old woman. They slowly retreated and eventually left the church.

Requiem and the Prince looked at each other in admiration. They had no idea who the old woman was or how she could do that, but they were relieved to have survived.

"Thank you," the Prince said to the old woman.

The woman simply smiled and said, "Now go, you must immediately find an answer to what is happening in this city."

Requiem and the Prince walked out of the church and continued their search. They don't know what they're going to face next, but they do know that they have to keep fighting and finding the truth.

Requiem and his team then found a tall building located in the center of the city, seemingly unaffected by the surrounding chaos. They decided to come closer and find out what was going on inside the building.

After penetrating into the building, they discover that it is the headquarters of the secret organization responsible for the attack on the city. Requiem and his team managed to defeat the guards, but they found that they were late. The organization had already managed to steal an extremely powerful magical artifact, and now they planned to use it to take over the kingdom.

Requiem and his team decide to stop the organization and save the kingdom from destruction. They fought against the remaining members of the organization and eventually managed to reach their leader. However, after a fierce fight, Requiem realizes that the leader is actually someone very close to him, someone he has long lost from his life.

Requiem must make the difficult decision to sacrifice an old friend who has taken the wrong path in order to save many lives. In the final scene, Requiem cries when he sees his friend leaving, but he knows that it is the only option left.

With the mission complete, Requiem and his team return to the kingdom and are rewarded for their merits in saving the kingdom. Although Requiem still felt sad over the loss of his friend, he felt relieved that he had saved countless lives and made the world a little safer.

Requiem and his group began to move slowly through this ruined city. They saw many wounded and dead people lying on the streets. Several buildings had collapsed and ruins were strewn everywhere.

As they walked through the deserted street, Requiem saw a little girl hiding behind the rubble of a destroyed building. The little girl looked frightened and pondered as if she did not know what to do.

Requiem felt pity and walked up to the little girl. He saw that the girl was injured in the hands and feet. Without hesitation, Requiem gave the girl first treatment and made sure that she was safe.

As Requiem and his group continue on their journey, they begin to realize that the city has been invaded by a powerful and ruthless enemy force. They learn that the enemy's army is led by an evil sorcerer named Mordecai, who has launched an attack on other kingdoms around him.

Requiem and his group decide to move towards the city center, where Mordecai is believed to be. They plan to stop Mordecai and free the city from his ruthless rule.

After walking for a few hours, they arrived at the large gate towards the center of the city. The gate was guarded by a powerful and reliable enemy force, but Requiem and his group managed to attack and defeat them with their strong strength and strategy.

As soon as the gate was overpowered, they continued their journey to the center of the city. In the middle of the city, they find Mordecai sitting on a magnificent throne, laughing at the destruction around him.

Requiem and his group decided to attack Mordecai with their strong strength and strategy. After a fierce battle, they managed to defeat Mordecai and liberate the city from his ruthless rule.

After their victory, Requiem and his group were revered as heroes throughout the kingdom and cities that had been saved from Mordecai's rule. Requiem felt a little relieved and pondered how one simple task could change the fate of many people and showed that there are far more important things than just making money in a world full of conflict and power.

The two of them walked cautiously between the burning buildings and saw injured people lying on the streets. Requiem decided to check around to find out more about the situation. He left the prince in a relatively safe place and gathered information from the local residents.

However, Requiem asked the prince not to think about it and asked that the prince remain calm and focus on what to do next. They must fight against the group that wants to take power and save the people who are victims in the attack.

Requiem began planning a counterattack and the prince was willing to help. They recruit people who want to join their cause and gather the resources needed. Finally, after some time, they were ready to fight the mercenaries and the group that wanted to take power.

A fierce battle ensued, but Requiem, the prince, and their allies managed to win. The mercenaries were defeated and the group that wanted to take power was stopped. Eventually, the city was saved and people were able to start rebuilding their lives.

After the battle was over, the prince asked Requiem for help to find and punish those responsible for the attack. Requiem agreed and together they tracked down the group and handed them over to the government.
