Emily, The Mute Girl

Emily, The Mute Girl
The Journey to the Top

Jeremy sighed, then said,

"Clarissa is fine. He's in his room. Just a little bruised and it's been treated. The doctor also said there was no need for hospitalization. What about you, are you hurt?"

'No, I'm fine. Thank goodness Clarissa was treated, ' Emily replied in a gesture.

Jeremy nodded, then both of them fell silent. Emily, feeling awkward about the silence, took the initiative to leave her room.

'If there's nothing more you want to talk about, I'll excuse me.'

Again Jeremy said nothing and just nodded. He stared at his wife's departure until she disappeared from his eyes. Then he decided to go in and see the person Emily brought with him.

"Young Master.." said Wawan who was surprised to see Jeremy coming, whereas during this Mansion was built, never once had he set foot in the servant's room.

Doctor Darren was just as shocked. However, Jeremy just waved his hand and looked at the man lying on the bed.

His body has not been cleaned, blood stains mixed with dust stuck on his body make Jeremy can not stand to see it.

He frowned and thought, How could Emily bring such a dirty person?

"What's the Young Master here for?" ask Pak Wawan.

"What if I come here?" jeremy asked furrowing his brows.

"Master has never come to this place before" said Pak Wawan. Jeremy just kept silent to make Pak Wawan smile.

"Did Young Master come here on purpose to see the man that Miss brought? Did you come to check who this man is? Are you worried that Miss has a relationship with another man?" tanyakanya.

Jeremy moved his teeth.

"What question is that? I just happened to pass by and look around. I don't care if he has a relationship with another man" Jeremy said. Finished saying he went straight from there. While Pak Wawan and Doctor Darren can only shake their heads to see it.

Pretending to be sick was a very unpleasant thing for Emily. Because he has to reduce a lot of his activities, or even do nothing. Like a sick person, he needs to rest a lot. Emily breathed out violently. Making Aunt Liana who was beside him couldn't bear to not ask.

"What's up, Miss? Is Miss not feeling well?"

Emily scowled her temple and shook her head.

'I'm doing fine. I'm just tired of pretending to be sick. I can't be free to do what I love. Sometimes I think, when will I die?' his signal.

Aunt Liana was aghast.

"Please don't say that, Miss. Aunty wishes for Miss to live a long life" Aunt Liana said.

'I mean, pretending to be dead. I didn't really expect to die soon, I still wanted to see this world for much longer. I just started to feel bored because I had to keep quiet at home, and could not go anywhere.' Emily's gesture made Aunt Liana calm. He nodded in understanding.

"Auntie will talk to Mr. Jeremy to take Miss for a walk" he said.

'Are you going to do it for me?' Emily waved with a glowing face. Once again, Aunt Liana nodded, then she went to see Jeremy.

"Yes, sir." replied Aunt Liana.

"If he wants to go for a walk, why doesn't he go alone? Why should I drive him?" ask Jeremy again.

"Sir, what would others think if Young Miss went alone while being sick?" Aunt Liana asked back.

Jeremy paused for a moment, then sighed. Right, people will think that he doesn't care about his wife.

In addition, Clarissa also often complained that she felt bored continuing to be in this Mansion for a long time.

The problem is, Jeremy is worried that his enemies will do something desperate if the girls come out.

"I'll think about it. Auntie go first." said Jeremy softened.

"alright. Excuse me, sir." Aunt Liana resigned herself.

After Aunt Liana leaves, Jeremy goes to Emily's room. There, she finds Emily reading a book. Emily only caught a glimpse of it, then continued reading. He felt there was nothing to talk to him about.

Jeremy, who felt neglected by his wife, said,

"Thus we'll take a walk."

The moment Emily who was lethargic, turned her head immediately with eyes that sparkled with hope, making Jeremy stunned to see how bright those eyes were.

Emily really doesn't feel comfortable being with these lovers. But he has no right to protest. After all, as a sick man, she had to go with her husband, and of course with Clarissa who did not want to be left behind. Especially when the girl finds out that Jeremy's going with Emily.

Clarissa never stopped suspecting him, even though Emily had told him many times that Emily had no intentions at all for Jeremy, but Clarissa never believed.

Emily sometimes thinks, does her face look like a cunning seductress so Clarissa can't trust her?

But it's nothing. What was important today was that he could get out to see the scenery outside the Mansion. At least this can reduce the stress. So, he ignores Clarissa who keeps clinging to Jeremy by staring out of the car, looking at the streets that look empty. Perhaps because they were traveling not on holidays or weekends, that was why the road to the peak was so quiet.

"Jeremy, where are we going?" clarissa asked while embracing Jeremy's arm spoiled.

To be honest, Jeremy feels uncomfortable with the attitude of Clarissa who continues to stick to him. He does not know why women like to be so spoiled like this. Merely, this girl was the path to his success, so even though he did not like it, he should be able to endure it.

"We will go to our Villa which is at the top. There's a beautiful lake, you can take a boat if you want." Jeremy replied.

"really? Then, I want to take a boat with you." said Clarissa.

"M..." Jeremy could only nod his head in agreement, he glanced at Emily who was sitting next to the driver. She seemed unconcerned about what Clarissa had done to her husband.

"Jeremy..." Clarissa called out in a seductive voice, while tightening her embrace on Jeremy's arm. The man answered briefly, though,

"Hm.."

"I'm glad we can finally do something together, without worrying about anyone else seeing us. It's just a pity, there's one more person bothering here. If she wasn't there, it would be great" Clarissa said, referring to Emily sitting in front of her in a relaxed manner.
