Emily, The Mute Girl

Emily, The Mute Girl
I Don't Want to Try

Meanwhile in the Hall, Emily was still silent in her place. Clarissa's words were still ringing in her ears, Emily could even feel the heartache that Clarissa had endured. Emily looked around, she really felt uneasy under the gazes of those who thought her a fraud. He wanted to leave the place, but two guards stopped him.

"Sorry, Madam. Madam should stay here until Mr. President returns" they said. Emily is upset, Jeremy seems to want to make it as a display at the party tonight.

'I have to go to the toilet, should I wait until the President returns?' emily wrote in a mini journal that she had prepared for her to interact with others.

The two guards stared at each other before nodding to give him permission, with a note they were taking him along. Emily had no other choice. Several guards followed him and stood guard at the door of the restroom. Shortly after they left, Aunt Agnes followed, but she was arrested by them.

"You can't come in, madam."

Aunt Agnes stopped and looked at them unhappily.

"Why? Isn't this a public toilet?" tanyakanya.

"Pardon us, but the Big Madam is inside. Please Mistress go to another toilet." said the guard politely. Aunt Agnes furrowed her brows, now Emily has another call?

"So I can't use it because the Big Madam is inside?" ask Aunt Agnes again. But the guards did not answer and only put on their flat faces.

"Tsk.. Then, where can I get another toilet?" tanyakanya.

"There's at the end of this hallway, you just have to turn left after this." they replied directing. Aunt Agnes thanked him before finally leaving The guards that Jeremy assigned were completely obedient.

On the other hand, Emily was washing her hands and staring at her reflection in the mirror, when she heard a knock on the toilet window. Emily was surprised, this place was heavily guarded, who was trying to meet her?

Braving herself, Emily slowly approached the window and opened it. A middle-aged man walked in from there, making Emily a little worried.

"Don't be afraid" said the man to calm him down. Emily knew that voice.

'Fernando?' The beak man nodded.

'What are you doing here?' Emily's gesture asked.

'Ah, no! How's it going? How are Steven and the Twins? Are they okay?' repeat Emily.

Fernando initially wants to flank Emily with dozens of questions in his head, but when he sees Emily asking worriedly makes him feel the warmth in his heart. Maybe Aunt Agnes was right, Emily wasn't as bad as many people thought.

"They're here, wait a minute" he said half-whispering. He peeked out the window again, and soon Aunt Agnes also entered from the window followed by another middle-aged man.

"He's Steven" Fernando said, pointing to the man.

Emily looked at them with guilt. He wanted to apologize but suddenly Aunt Agnes hugged him tightly.

"I'm glad you're okay, Emily. You really make me sad when you hear you died of a peanut allergy." she whispered. She let go of his embrace and held Emily's shoulders gently.

"Now, tell me. What the hell is going on?" tanyanya. Everyone stared at Emily, waiting for an answer from her.

Emily did not want to hide anything from them anymore, so she quickly told her everything from the beginning of the agreement, until she was brought here by force.

"So the madman wants to kill you and marry Clarissa to get the power support?" aunt Agnes asked, she really couldn't bear to call Jeremy a lunatic.

"I didn't expect Brother Jeremy to be that kind of person. He rails do everything just to achieve his goal." Steven said with a stifled emotion inside his chest.

"That deal, did you just agree to it?" ask Aunt Agnes. Emily nodded.

'You know for yourself, Jeremy and I got married for an arranged marriage. He and I don't love each other and just want to live on each other's paths. While we were tied up in marriage for life, so we did it in order to escape from that marriage Emiky's gesture explained.

"If you don't love each other, then why does she seem so crazy about you now?" aunt Agnes asked again not understanding. Emily did not know how or where to answer, because she did not understand why the man's heart could change.

"Save it for later" said Fernando interrupting.

"I'd rather know, why did Brother Emily keep quiet when Brother Jeremy found out that Brother Jeremy was plotting against Uncle Antonio in the first place? Why didn't Brother tell us about this? What in Brother's heart, are we of this nothing at all? Is it fun to see us having fun before the destruction?" asked in a stifled voice, he remembered that there were still guards standing guard at the door. Emily looked at the two of them with a deep sense of guilt.

'Forgive me for being a selfish person. But, I really didn't know that Jeremy was going to kill his own real father.' Emily lowered her head and nibbled her lips anxiously.

Fernando and Steven were silent at what Emily said. Emotions stirred in the hearts of both of them. Sometimes, they open their mouths to ask other questions because they feel they still need an explanation. However, every time they opened their mouths no words came out, as if stuck in the throat. And finally they could only give up then jump out of the window leaving the place.

Emily stared at the departure of the two, she did not know what else to explain. They deserve and deserve to hate it. Aunt Agnes noticed the expression on Emily's face.

"I think everyone has a reason for all the actions they take. You must have it too." said Aunt Agnes. These words made Emily feel more guilty.

"Well, what passes let it pass. But, if you think about it again, that guy doesn't seem to want anything bad to happen to you. He doesn't want to lose you so he can only let you go to achieve his goals, satisfying the desires of his supporters. And after he succeeded in realizing their dream, he brought you back to his side. So now, how do you feel? Don't you have any feelings for her?" ask Aunt Agnes to make sure.

Emily looked at him, and firmly shook her head.

'I still want to get away from him. Anyway, I don't want to be a wound for Clarissa.' the cue is sure.

"But, it looks like Jeremy doesn't love him, and instead is obsessed with you. Don't you want to give him a chance? Who knows if love will show up in your heart." said Aunt Agnes.

'I'm not going to try. Now he has Clarissa as his wife, and Clarissa loves him very much. Auntie, you were once a wife too and knew how tormented it was to see your husband with another woman.'
