Alvin Assailed

'Our relationship is over, Jeremy.' Emily's signal is off.

"Our relationship is never finished! Only death can solve it!" jeremy said firmly.

Emily smiled cynically. He then waved his hand.

'Then, I choose to die rather than return with you!!'

Jeremy's jaw hardened to see what Emily hinted at him. When he saw Emily about to wave her hand again to speak, Jeremy hurried to say to his aide.

"Take him in the car!"

"Ready, Mr. President!" the aide nodded obediently, then gestured for the female bodyguard to make a move, as he realized, the President did not want his person to be touched by another man.

Alvin has been silent since, because he knows very well that he has no right to speak in front of the president. He is also still in a surprised fashion because he just found out that the woman he was after turned out to be their president's wife. But when he saw the president's men wanting to arrest her Lily, he ventured to look at Jeremy and said,

"I'm sorry if I'm presumptuous, Mr. President. But Lily doesn't want to come with you."

Alvin heard himself clearly, Emily said many times that their relationship was over. Even if they were once a married couple, they did not live together again for many years. Doesn't religion mean they're no longer legal? And should not a Head of State have more than one wife? A Head of State is often made a role model by most people, how can he arbitrarily decide something according to his will?

Even Alvin could see how hard Emily's efforts were to get out of touch with the president. Emily was even willing to leave in the middle of the night to leave the village, just to avoid the president. So, when he saw that the president wanted to take Emily by force, he couldn't let it go.

"How dare a little fellow like you defy the President's orders!!" snarled the adjutant furiously.

"Sorry, Sir.. I'm just saying what I saw. Lily doesn't want to go with Mr. President. But why does Mr President still want to take him by force?" alvin asked, but in his heart he felt fear in front of the guards.

Jeremy looked at Alvin sharply, as if wanting to stab him with that look. Ever since he first saw her, he had already deeply disliked this young man. However, Jeremy chooses to ignore Alvin's question, instead he looks back at Emily.

"What did the young man really say? Do you really not want to come with me, and would rather go with her?" ask Emily Jeremy.

Emily was silent to the question. Obviously Jeremy was just making a choice, but Emily knew what would happen if Emily didn't. Whatever the answer is, Jeremy will definitely carry it. And since Jeremy is the type of person who will do everything possible to fulfill his wish {just like his uncle taught him}, Jeremy would probably kill Alvin if Emily chose the second option.

Nah! Alvin is an outsider. It has nothing to do with their relationship. He cannot be a victim. Deeply forced and heavy-hearted, Emily hints that she will be coming with Jeremy, making the man smile triumphantly.

"Lilly..." Alvin still wants to prevent it, but Emily holds Alvin's hand and shakes his head, as a sign that he's not talking anymore. Without Emily realizing it, his actions only further ignited Jeremy's anger. Her heart was burning as Emily looked at the young man with a gentle look. He felt bitter. Emily must care a lot about Alvin. That's why Emily just changed her decision.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!! TAKE HIM NOW!!" jeremy snaps at his subordinates.

His aides and bodyguards quickly carried out their duties because they did not want to make the president's mood worse.

Hearing that, Emily stopped her steps and shook her head.

'I'll go alone.' her cue.

"Isn't he your son and the animal your friend?" ask Jeremy.

"They will accompany you in the palace so you don't get lonely" she said, extending her hand to stroke Emily's head, but Emily stepped back to avoid her and shook her head.

'No. I'll go alone. Let them come with Alvin.' cue Emily again.

Emily didn't want them to be imprisoned there. If they were to come with him, it would definitely be difficult for him to escape from there later on.

However, Emily does not know, Jeremy also has thought about the possibility of Emily will run away someday. When he first sees Ferry, Jeremy realizes the boy has a special place in Emily's heart. Emily could never have left him or let anything bad happen to him. Pets will be needed someday. Jeremy plans to use them to keep Emily by his side. Thinking about it, made Jeremy smile obliquely.

"I'm not obligated to listen to all your words" he said.

Finished saying that, Jeremy immediately walked first to the car, not giving Emily a chance to refuse again. Emily could only stare at Ferry and Blacky in a subtle push toward her.

"Mother.."

'It's okay. Don'worry. Everything will be fine.' Emily's gesture calms down. He himself was not sure of his words.

They take Emily and Ferry and their pet dog to the car. Alvin looked at Emily's departure unwillingly. She knew, Emily made that decision just to protect her. He wanted to do the same, but if he forced himself to fight this powerful man, he was sure, he only ended up dying and Emily still had to come with them.

Alvin continued to stare at them until they were invisible and the roar of the car engine was no longer heard in his ears. He sat down for a moment where they had eaten, bowing his head, before deciding to return. However, he could not let his family worry as he did not return and did not give any news from last night. They must be busy looking for him. He then pushed back his bike to the asphalt road and turned it on and walked back home.

But, on the way, he was stopped by one of those who had been with the president. Alvin immediately felt a bad feeling about it. The president has Emily gone, so why is she still here?

"What's wrong?" alvin asked cautiously.

The person who turned out to be Reno, the aide, did not answer but directly attacked Alvin. Turns out the president wanted this young man who got a lot of attention from Emily dead. So he deliberately and secretly unbeknownst to Emily, sends his aide to eliminate Alvin.

Alvin certainly didn't want to just die. He wanted to keep his life because he remembered his parents who loved him. Therefore he repelled Reno's attack and fought him. Unfortunately, in the end he had to accept the fact, that not only in front of the President, but in front of the subordinates of the President he was nothing.

The skill and dexterity of Reno, the aide to the president, can not be equated with ordinary people like him. Alvin had to accept defeat with a million regrets in his heart. If he had known that he would eventually die, he would have chosen to fight with the President and show his sincerity to Emily. At least, his death would not be in vain.

Haaaaah's... Sometimes the world is not fair. Leaders who are known to be wise and often used as role models, can hide their dirty deeds and are free to do things as they please. While small people will only be victims of their dissatisfaction. How slicing!!
