Refuse to Dance

Jeremy's still faithfully standing there watching Emily. During her marriage, she had never seen Emily dance. He wondered, on the eve of their wedding reception, whether or not his wife was dancing. And all this time, if there's a party, only Emily's gone alone. Is Emily there to receive an invitation from another man to dance? Thinking about it made Jeremy's heart feel upset and his heart was filled with jealousy. Then he gritted his teeth.

As soon as Emily finished her dance, she immediately walked forward to meet her, leaving Emily shocked.

"What are you doing here?" ask Jeremy.

Emily looked at him reluctantly. Actually he also wanted to ask what Jeremy was doing in this place. Has this guy seen her dance before? Looking at Emily's gaze, Jeremy seemed to understand.

"Yes, your dance is pretty good" she said with a smile.

Emily frowned. Did Jeremy just smile at him?

"Why are you dancing here alone? Do you do it often?"

Emily tried to be calm.

'I used to do it when I was bored.' he cues.

"Why are you dancing alone?" ask Jeremy again.

'Who should I dance with?' ask Emily on her signal.

"You can dance with me." Jeremy said.

Emily's stunned. His brain was damaged for a moment. Jeremy wants to dance with her? Emily begins to feel that Jeremy's attitude is changing, more precisely Jeremy seems to be interested in her since they returned from the old farmer's house. But Emily tried to suppress her feelings.

'Aren't you the only one who deserves you is Clarissa? That includes dancing, right? After all, I'm sure if she saw him, she definitely wouldn't be happy.' Emily gestured with as calm an attitude as she could, even though her heart was a little turbulent.

Seeing what Emily said, Jeremy felt tight in his chest.

"Do you believe that I really love her?" ask Jeremy.

Emily blinked her eyes and exhaled slowly.

'Whether you love him or not is none of my business. Clearly, the woman you chose was Clarissa, and with that agreement, sooner or later, we're going to stay separated.

Jeremy felt his heart get electrocuted. He wanted to pull his wife into his arms and tell her the truth. However, she knew that if she told the truth, instead of choosing to be with him, Emily would hate her even more.

"Emily.."

'If there's nothing else to talk about, excuse me. Aunt Liana might be looking for me.' Emily's signal cuts Jeremy's word.

Jeremy is aware, Emily's attitude is all because of his mistakes, both in the present and in the past. In the past he had made this girl lose her tongue and in the present, just because his wife was mute, he tried to get rid of her and bring Clarissa in their married life. If she had known that Emily was Clea, she would not have done such a foolish thing, and perhaps Emily would not have looked at her as a stranger. If he had no desire to replace his wife with another woman. If only he had accepted his wife from the beginning, perhaps they would now be a happy family. Jeremy swallowed his own saliva thinking of many words 'if and if only' in his head. He closed his eyes for a moment and looked back at Emily.

Emily could not resist. He leaves with Jeremy unaware that Gerald has been watching them since. She's seen Emily dancing and her interactions with Jeremy. From there he understood that the relationship between the two people was not okay. From Emily's sign language, she knew she refused to dance with Jeremy. However, even from a distance, he could see that Jeremy's eyes on Emily were full of love and tenderness. As a husband, Jeremy seemed to love his wife very much. That means, he didn't have a chance to have Emily, did he? Gerald ruffled his hair in frustration. He has never been attracted to or fallen in love with a woman. But at this moment when he sensed it, why should the woman already belong to someone else? He couldn't possibly be the third person and snatch someone else's wife right?

In her room, Emily was silent as she stared out the window. She ponders about Jeremy's changing attitude and the possibility that her husband, who will soon become her ex-husband, is starting to like her. Emily doesn't understand why Jeremy is suddenly drawn to her. Can a person's hatred be removed in a short time? No, this is a little unreasonable. "Young Miss.." call Aunt Liana who was suddenly beside Emily, making her jump in shock. He patted his chest.

"I'm sorry, miss. But from earlier aunt has knocked on the door, but Miss does not seem to hear.So aunt decided to come in, for fear of something happening to Miss." said Aunt Liana apologized, he regretted making his master surprised.

'It's okay, Auntie.' cues Emily is aware.

"What's up, Miss? Last time I saw Miss shaking her head. Is Miss feeling dizzy?" aunt Liana asked in a worried tone.

Emily smiled and shook her head.

'No, Auntie. I'm it's okay. I was just thinking a little bit about the past.' her cue.

'What's Aunt looking for me?' ask Emily.

"That, Miss. There's Miss Twins with Mr. Steven and Mr. Fernando and Aunt Agnes up front. He said they came to see Miss" Aunt Liana told him.

'Okay, Auntie. I'll be out in a minute.'

Aunt Liana then waited for Emily to tidy up her clothes. Emily stared at her face briefly in the mirror of her dresser, and exhaled slowly. He hated to pretend to be sick like this but he had no other choice. Aunt Liana then helped Emily walk out, like a sick person to help.

"Sister Emily!" exclaim Indriana and Adriana with enthusiasm while running to help Emily.

"Auntie, let us help Emily's sister" Indriana told Aunt Liana.

"Alright, Miss. Aunty will bring tea and snacks" Aunt Liana said and turned to the kitchen.

Emily felt guilty for having to lie to everyone. They think he is really sick so to walk must be helped. Aunt Agnes hugged Emily tightly as soon as Emily sat down.
