"I didn't expect to see you here" Jeremy said withholding emotions as Emily was indifferent to him. Her words made her aide take a quick glance at her then return while Emily just nodded back. After a moment of silence, Jeremy finally gave up hope Emily would ask him the news, so he asked,

"How are you?"

'I'm fine.' Emily's gesture answered briefly.

Silent again. Ferry who sat next to Emily did not dare to chew his snacks for fear of noise.

"Then how's Aunt Liana? Why don't you go out with him?" jeremy asked pretending he didn't know anything.

Emily looked at Jeremy for a moment before sighing and waving her hand.

'Aunt Liana died a year ago.'

"Have you lived here long?" ask Jeremy again.

'Three years.' replied Emily.

"And who is this child?" jeremy asked, pointing at Ferry. He remembered, this child was the one sitting on Alvin's shoulder at the time.

'He's my son.' Emily seems to have no intention of explaining Ferry's origins. Jeremy was just a small talk, not wanting to know more about Ferry.

Reno did not think, it turns out the president can be like this. If someone else had spoken, the president would not have listened to what he already knew. But on this mute woman in front of him, the president looks very attentive.

"Where do you live? Can I go to your house?" ask Jeremy expectantly.

Emily remained silent. He didn't want Jeremy to come to his house. But given her current status, Emily is unlikely to turn down a president in front of her aide. Finally Emily nodded. Then he approached Alvin who was standing not far from them.

'Alvin, me and Ferry are going home with them. You don't have to drive us.' Emily gestured to Alvin.

"Who are they?" ask Alvin curious.

'They are my friends.' Emily replied in her gesture.

Alvin looked at Jeremy and Reno while judging them. Although Emily says they are her friends, Alvin doesn't just believe her. He was worried that the two would do something bad to Emily. But Emily tells him not to worry and tells him to go home. Inevitably, Alvin walked home alone.

While Ferry has been following Emily since, she dared not say anything when she realized who claimed to be Emily's friend. Actually, he had realized since Jeremy had come between the mothers earlier. He realized the man with the mustache was the President who was waiting for his arrival by all villagers. But that's not the problem. What in his mind was how could his mother be friends with Mr President? He wanted to ask, but felt sad.

Jeremy felt emotional as Emily conversed with Alvin. The young man even dared to look at him with a hostile look. When Emily came back to them, she asked in annoyance,

"Who is he? Is he your friend?"

Emily feels like Jeremy is interrogating her, but she pretends to be ordinary.

'Yes, he's my friend.' he replied.

Emily serves tea to Jeremy and his aide, while Ferry secretly peeks from behind the door. Emily did not allow them to enter her house, so they sat on the chair on the porch of her house.

"Who's flower shop is that?" jeremy asked, opening the conversation. He disliked Emily's silent attitude of just sitting and staring at him. I don't know what he thinks.

'That's mine.' Emily's cue.

"Regarding that guy, have you been friends long enough?"

'Yeah, we've been friends for a long time, since I opened my flower shop. I was a regular at the flower shop where Alvin worked all this time. And he's the one who's always delivering all my flower orders. That's where we're best friends from.' Emily explained at length.

"Is your flower shop running smoothly?" jeremy asked to switch the conversation. He did not want to talk about the young man anymore.

'Yes, it went well.' replied Emily through a wave of hands.

"Aren't you lacking anything here?”

Emily shakes.

'No.'

"really?" jeremy asked unsure. Emily nodded.

Jeremy then fell silent. She felt Emily didn't want to talk to her. The answer is very short. He will only answer if asked, and not ask back about Jeremy. She didn't know, Emily was really uncomfortable with her presence. They were no longer husband and wife, however, and Clarissa was not here.

"Are you happy living in this place?" Jeremy asked again and as he expected again Emily just nodded.

"Then, if one day you had to leave this place and live in a palace, would you be happy?" Jeremy kept asking.

Emily nodded quickly.

'Looks like I won't be happy.'

"Why? In that palace, all your needs will be fulfilled. You don't have to do anything and you don't have to work as hard as you do now. You just have to enjoy your life." Jeremy said easily but Emily shook her head.

'Really, in the pseudo palace my needs will be fulfilled. But I still won't be happy because I lost my freedom.' cue Emily sure. Seeing him, Jeremy smiled cynically.

Emily is increasingly uncomfortable with the whereabouts of Jeremy and his aide, she begins to rack her brains to drive them away. And it looks like the clock is on their side.

'I'm sorry, but it's getting late at night. Here, it is forbidden to visit beyond ten o'clock at night. Forgive my impoliteness, but you must go.' cues Emily by clenching her hands in front of her chest.

Jeremy drank the tea to the end, then nodded.

"You're right, it's getting late. So, can we stay here?" tanyakanya.

'No!!' Emily refused quickly.

'You can't stay here.' he repeated.

"Why?" ask Jeremy.

'Because I am a widow, and you are a man who already has a wife and children.' Emily's gesture was firm.

His answer left Jeremy speechless and feeling a bit of bitterness in his heart. He got up with a bitter smile, a very visible smile on the force.

"I was just kidding. Do you think I'm serious about all my words?" jeremy asked without looking at Emily.

Emily looks at.

'I hope it's true, you're just kidding.' he cueed.

Jeremy then walked away without saying goodbye, only the aide bowed respectfully and then turned to follow Jeremy. Emily looked at the man's departure with her aide. He really hoped, all the words of the man was just a joke, but he also knew, Jeremy is not a person who likes to joke.

Jeremy's attitude and questions, make Emily worried that the man still holds a sense of him and Emily is afraid, with his power, Jeremy will force him back. Emily doesn't want to come back, she doesn't have any feelings for the man. And he doesn't want to be in the same position as Clarissa was, to be third.
