News of Death

Thanks to Doctor Darren, Emily's life can finally be saved. However, he was still losing his consciousness. Meanwhile, Jeremy can't stop worrying when he sees an unconscious Emily. This was the same as before, when Clea had already obtained the medicine but was still unconscious.

This really scared him.

"Is he really okay?" ask Jeremy for the umpteenth time to Doctor Darren.

"Yes, Young Miss will be fine. I've given him medicine so Mr. Jeremy doesn't have to worry." replied Doctor Darren while nodding.

"Are you sure? Isn't almond allergy very dangerous and can be life-threatening?" ask Jeremy in a loud voice.

"Of course, allergies can endanger his life. Young Miss might have died if not dealt with quickly, it was fortunate that Mr. Jeremy was able to find her in time. If not, maybe Young Miss will..." Doctor Darren stops his words, when Jeremy raises his hand as a signal for him to stop talking.

Jeremy doesn't want to hear anything that's not good for Emily. Jeremy rubbed Emily's cheek slowly. He could feel his temperature starting to feel warm and the color of his skin was not as pale as before. As Jeremy watched Emily, his uncle who had been watching him asked, "So, you don't want him to die?"

Jeremy was just listening, he didn't want to answer. Alex looked at Jeremy who was standing behind him.

"Do you love her? Are you in love with this mute woman? Jeremy, you..."

"He doesn't deserve to die!!" jeremy said cutting Alex's words. He turned around and looked at his uncle with a sharp look.

"He doesn't deserve all this treatment!!" jeremy said again.

Emily doesn't deserve to be hurt at all just to realize the wishes of these damn people. He should not have lost his tongue nor should he have lost both of his parents just for accidentally crossing the same path as Richard that night. His wife should not have suffered. His wife should always smile at him. Alex was silent for a moment hearing Jeremy's words and stubbornness. "Your feelings make you weak, Jeremy. Your mute wife may be lucky to have survived her death once more, but not you, Jeremy. You can't go back" Alex said coldly.

Jeremy gritted his teeth and clenched his hands tightly. Right, he can't go back. There was no way for him to return.

Slowly Emily opened her eyes and found Jeremy staring at her. Emily's not dead, but she just came back from the dead. He vaguely remembered what had happened to him. Emily felt so stupid, she should have followed her suspicions. He never ate a snack at night, but the waiter actually gave a plate full of pastries that turned out to contain almonds on him, especially the cake from Alexander Charlos who never liked it.

"Are you okay?" jeremy asked in a soft tone to disperse her daydream, then helped her sit up. Emily nodded slowly and held her neck. Seeing her, Jeremy takes a glass of water and gives Emily for him to drink. After finishing drinking, still holding her glass, Emily looked around her room and realized that the surrounding situation was very quiet and gloomy.

"News of your death have been announced."

"Your peanut allergy will be the cause of your death. You can get out of here." Jeremy said it with a heavy heart.

His uncle was right, the people who supported him to become the leader, they were all not ordinary people. He could not go back and stop their entire original plan. Not everyone can be like Aunt Liana or Pak Wawan and all the servants in this Mansion who can accept Emily's situation.

Jeremy knew that if he kept insisting on quitting, there would be something that those people did to him and Emily as well. The people behind his back were the kind of people like Alex who would justify any means to smooth their way. They'll get rid of whatever they think is a thorn in the way, and Emily's current whereabouts are one of the thorns in their eyes.

Last night, he found out that the attack at Villa was Emily's real goal and not hers. It is only fitting that those people can be in the Villa even though there are his men who are guarding there. If Jeremy stays stubbornly holding Emily beside him, he certainly can't guarantee Emily's safety. It's the only way Emily's not being targeted by them.

Emily had no idea what the man was thinking, but she tried not to think about it. Although of course there was pain in her chest thinking that from today on she was not Jeremy's wife anymore.

'Thank you for everything.' cues Emily. Then suddenly she emboldened herself to hug and kiss Jeremy on the cheek for the first and last time. Makes the man's body freeze because he's too happy. He was just about to hug back, but Emily had already released herself while smiling adkhas, making him swallow her disappointment.

Emily stared at the screen in her room. There it shows the situation outside. There was a dead body of a woman who looked exactly like Emily, whether she was wearing a mask or her face was similar to her. It's certainly not difficult for Jeremy and Alex to find a replacement body for him, considering they're both ruthless mobsters, unlike Antonio, who despite being called the leader of the mafia, but he did nothing illegal. Antonio opposed the act of buying and selling human organs and drug transactions. This is what makes some members do not like it because the income of their money coffers decreases, and begin to betray.

Emily closed her eyes. He could hear people crying out there. The Twins Adriana and Indriana cried the loudest. They say they are sorry. Had they just decided to stay the day, maybe nothing would have happened. Emily did not expect that there would be so many people who would care about her. Jeremy didn't deliver his departure. Last night after saying that everything was done, Jeremy never saw him again. Before leaving, Emily could see that Clarissa was staring at her disappearance. He had no idea what the young girl was thinking, but to be sure, the girl could breathe a sigh of relief now that she could have Jeremy completely.
