Chaptre 102. George Langdon

Julian returned to the Avicenna family home with a confused face. He doesn't know what to say to Roy.

Roy welcomes his brother with anxious expectations. Julian said he'd try to talk to Kartika about Nathan. She hopes that her brother can help solve this problem because Kartika is an old friend of Julian.

"Sister! How's it?" Roy asked as Julian entered the house.

Julian shook his head slowly. "Patience, Roy."

"What are you talking about with Kak Kartika?"

"I'm just telling you about you and Lian who lost a baby five years ago."

"Thank you brother for helping me and Lian. Lately I've been very busy taking on police duties. I'll ask for leave until this matter is over."

"How's Lian doing? I'm sorry for yelling at Lian. I know it's hard for him. But we also have to think about Kartika's feelings. He's been taking care of your son for three years. It must have been really hard for him to let Nathan go into the hands of his biological family."

Lusi and Lono who saw the peaceful scene also smiled.

"It's all thanks to our daughter, ma'am. Our daughter is an amazing woman. How's condition?"

"He's asleep. We better keep an eye on him. I don't want her to be reckless anymore."

"Yes, Mom. Then we'll rest too. Tomorrow I'm gonna go back to developing the formula that was with Julian Nak."

"Thank God that you could take back Father's right to be the inventor of that formula." Lusi grabbed her husband's arm and hugged him.

The next morning, Julian had been tidy in his suit and was preparing to leave. He contacted Leon and asked him to make sure George Langdon was still in his hotel.

Julian met George today to discuss Nathan's problems. He can no longer buy time because of Lian's condition is still bad.

Julian left the house unnoticed by anyone. He didn't even say goodbye to Roy. In his heart he prayed for his plan this time to succeed.

Arriving at the Royale Hotel, Julian calls Leon's cell phone again. Julian immediately headed to the fifth floor where George was staying. Actually many questions are still stuck in his mind, but he tried to get rid of it until the plan went well.

Julian meets Leon in front of George's room. With hesitation, Julian blocked the doorbell of the room. The time still shows at five in the morning when Julian visits.

George opened the door and frowned in wonder.

"Mr Julian? What do you need to come so early?" ask George.

"I'm sorry if my arrival interfered with your time." Julian bowed slightly in front of George.

"No problem. I'm used to waking up in the morning. Please enter!" George welcomed Julian well.

"I'm sure there is something important that you want to say to come here this blind morning. Let's sit!" continued George.

George looked at Julian closely. Then carefully, Julian told George everything.

During the conversation, George just kept quiet and took a look at each of Julian's stories.

"So, the point of your coming here is..."

"Actually .. there is one thing that needs to be corrected. Kartika and I were once married. But we separated a few months ago. And I allowed Kartika to take Nathan with her."

"Eh?" Julian was surprised by George's honesty. The 40-year-old man is very calm in dealing with problems even when telling stories about his life with Kartika.

"I decided to adopt a child because I saw Kartika who continued to grieve after losing her baby due to her unborn fetus could not develop properly. Kartika has been pregnant several times. But all have failed. And in the end the doctor declared that Kartika would not be able to have offspring."

"Daddy!!!" nathan shouted when he saw George coming to Kartika's house.

Kartika frowned knowing George's arrival this early to his house.

"Oh, Daddy's son..." George took Nathan in his trunk.

"You're getting heavier, hmm?" george said as he scratched Nathan's nose.

"Darling, it's time for you to go to school. Come on!"

Kartika takes over Nathan and takes him to meet his nanny.

"Take him to school and watch him well. I don't want what happened yesterday to happen again. Understood?!" Kartika's voice sounded straightforward.

"Okay, ma'am," replied the nanny.

After the death of Nathan and his nanny, George approached Kartika.

"Do you have time? There's something I want to talk to you about" George said in a soothing voice.

Kartika looked at George. "What about?"

"On Nathan."

Kartika rounded her eyes and turned her face away.

George shakes Kartika's shoulder.

"I know you're a good woman. I know you love Nathan so much. But..."

"Did Julian see you?" Kartika's eyes began to turn red.

"Yes. She's meeting me. She told me about her sister-in-law's condition, which was devastated by the loss of her son."

Kartika.

"You're a woman too. You also felt the pain of losing a child. I know you won't let anyone else suffer because of you."

Kartika looked at George with eyes full of tears.

"You are a strong woman. I know that." George carried Kartika in his arms.

"Trust! You'll find your own happiness without hurting anyone else's feelings."

Kartika's crying is getting louder. George held it tighter.

"Cry! Take out your whole emotion. But after that, think clearly. You also know, Nathan needs his biological family to live a normal life like any other child. Please think about it if you really love Nathan," whispered George with a gentle swipe on Kartika's back.
