Chapters 32. From Heart to Heart

Silence filled one of the tables in a typical food stall Jogja City filled by two handsome men who bowed to each other. The food on the table was empty.

A few minutes have passed and no one has spoken to each other. Until finally Roy's phone rang and was exposed to the name Ben there. Roy raised his call without moving from his seat.

Roy ended the call. He looked at Patrick who was also staring at him.

"Tell me, Roy. Are you sick?" ask Patrick at the end.

Roy pulled the corner of his lips. "So you wanted to ask that?" Tension again colored the discussion of the brothers.

"If you still think of me as your brother, then..." Patrick could not continue his sentence.

"Do you love Belinda?" ask Roy.

"Eh?" Patrick's dumbfounded.

"You're not deaf, are you? Do I need to repeat it?"

"Roy!!!" Patrick's getting hot.

"If you still think of yourself as my brother, then do what you have to do as a brother."

Patrick remained silent.

"If ... something happens to me. I beg you to look after Boy and Belinda."

Patrick stared at Roy's departure. He really did not expect if Roy kept a big secret that is unknown to many people. He took a deep breath and then moved from his seat. But before leaving, Patrick pays his morning meal bill.

Belinda did her job as usual. This morning Boy left with Riana because none of Patrick or Kenzo had come to their place for breakfast together.

"Okay, Bella, turn around, smile, okay! Goody!" the style director sets Belinda's style in posing.

Belinda took a step and changed clothes many times. She began to enjoy her work as a model.

"okay! Let's take a break!" said the photographer.

"Bella, thanks for today" he continued.

"Yeah, you're welcome." Reply Belinda then passed and went into her rest room.

Belinda stretched her stiff muscles. He put his body on the long sofa there. Before long, he closed his eyes for a moment.

Thirty minutes passed. Belinda's still closed. It seemed that his body was so tired that he did not realize that someone was staring at him in silence.

The man smiled and watched Belinda's face close. He stared fixed every curve of Belinda's face which he thought was perfect.

"You're perfect, Diamond.." he said.

Hearing someone mutter, Belinda immediately opened her eyes and blinked softly. Belinda was surprised to see someone in front of her.

"You! What are you doing here? Who let you in?" pissed Belinda.

The man smiled at Belinda's anger.

"You're getting prettier when you're angry." chuckles at the man who's none other than Roy.

Belinda's face was red. "You!" Show Belinda who has now positioned herself to sit down.

"You look so exhausted. You better quit your job and just focus on taking care of our son." Roy said.

"Huh?! Whatchu mean?"

"I don't want you to get tired from this job. Money matters you don't have to worry about. I'll give you some money. Howmany? 50 million? 100 million?"

Belinda closed her eyes restraining her anger.

"Listen, Sir! My son and I don't need your money. I can pay for my own life." upset Belinda who felt that Roy underestimated her.

Roy moved his seat to the side of Belinda. He took Belinda's hand and held it.

"I'm sorry for making you live so hard for so many years. I want to make amends for all my past mistakes. Please, Belinda..." Roy looked closely at the woman who had given birth to him.

Belinda took off Roy's hand. "Please don't do this. We're not that close to being able to touch each other." Belinda got up from her seat. He set his heartbeat that felt irregular.

"We can start from the beginning" said Roy who stood up.

They stand facing.

"By Boy" continued Roy.

"Don't bring Boy in on this. You can meet him whenever you want because he's your son. But, don't expect more about our relationship. I don't want to have a relationship with anyone right now." explains Belinda.

"Eh?" Roy's question made Belinda flinch.

"Don't Boy want a whole family? Why are you being selfish by being selfish about your own feelings?"

"I think you know what my reason is" Belinda turned her face away.

"Is this about Zara?" said Roy.

Belinda did not answer.

"I know you must be thinking about Zara. But you should know, our relationship isn't what it seems in public."

"That's none of my business." replied Belinda.

"Are you sure? You don't want Boy to have a whole family?"

Belinda looked at Roy. He knew that the man in front of him was serious about his words.

"You take care of your relationship with your fiancee first. After that you can come see me."

"really? You serious?" roy's eyes sparkled.

"You better get out. I don't want to be stamped as someone's fiancee."

"You didn't take me from anyone, Belinda. Because it's been a long time that my heart has not tethered to any woman."

"Well?!"

Roy smiled and then gave a brief peek at Belinda. "I'll wait for you to finish work."

"Eh? But, what about your job?"

"I've given everything to Ben."

There was a bit of pleasure in Belinda's heart when Roy said he would wait for her.

Belinda went home to the apartment with Roy. On the way to the apartment, only silence filled the space in Roy's sports car.

Belinda stared at the street outside the car. I don't know how he feels now when he's with Roy. He himself did not expect that the one who planted the seeds on him was a man like Roy.

"I'm planning on taking Boy to see my grandfather." Roy melted the atmosphere with a warm chat.

"Your grandfather?"

"I think you've met him. Donald Avicenna's. Only he knows about this secret project."
