Chaptre 81. The Hidden Longing

Roy returns home after spending time with Lian. He felt his big house was quiet without the presence of his son and wife, as well as Donald.

Roy looked at the family photo installed in the family room.

Roy hasn't seen Helena in five years. His mother always refused when Roy wanted to see him.

Roy himself. But this he must live. Eternal happiness will soon approach. Confidence in the heart.

Roy laid his body on the living room couch. He massaged his temple slowly. Before long, he fell asleep and entered the dreamland. He dreamed that he could reunite with his loved ones.

The next day at Noel's apartment, Esther wakes up and sees Noel standing by her bedside.

"You awake?" ask Noel.

Esther blinked her eyes. Yesterday was a pretty exhausting day for his heart.

"Oh yes, today I have to go to work. I was home all day yesterday. So now I have to get back to my activities."

"So ... yesterday you were with me all day?"

"Yes. I can't leave you in that condition. I've prepared breakfast. Don't forget to eat it. Breakfast is important for your health." After that Noel came out of Esther's room and went to the office.

Esther was silent at the edge of her bed. Today he plans to come to Avicenna hospital for an introduction.

Lian felt like she had forgotten something. He should have done this yesterday when Noel didn't go to work. Somehow his gut tells Noel that he's hiding something about Esther.

Lian sneaked into Noel's empty room. He ruffled Noel's desk and searched for something.

Lian checked the documents there.

"I should have done this yesterday. Uh! Stupid me!"

When Lian was checking one file that she thought was important, Noel's voice came from outside the room.

"No! How'this?" lian murmuring. Lian immediately took one file and took a picture with her phone.

Lian immediately rushed out of the room. Luckily Noel was blocked by some people who invited him to talk. Lian breathed a sigh of relief as she managed to find at least one piece of evidence.

At six o'clock in the afternoon, Roy came home from the hospital. Now he is more free because he has been driving alone. When passing in front of the Avicenna Group building, he stopped his car. He stared at the building he had not been to for five years.

Out of nowhere, Roy got out of his car and headed there. He looked at it from outside the tall building. His heart ached remembering about this building.

"Mr Roy?" a security guard approached Roy.

"Eh? Mr Suwandi? You still work here?"

"Still, Sir. What age I want to work. No company wants to accept me."

Roy smiled.

"Do you want to come in?"

"Eh?"

"Let's go in, sir!"

Roy also entered following Suwandi's steps. It spreads the view. Everything feels the same.

"Did Julian come here often?"

"No, Mister. Mr. Julian never came here. Since being taken over by the Ar-Rayyan Group, Mr. Julian has been there more often and only controls the section chief." explained Suwandi.

"What ... can I go upstairs?"

"Of course, sir. This building is deserted. All the employees are home."

Roy nodded in understanding then pressed the elevator button. He's headed to the CEO's room. The floor is dedicated to the leader only.

Roy entered the room. Cold and silent. He turned on the light switch. He's headed to the leadership desk. Some photos are still neatly displayed on the table.

A photo of a father along with his two sons aged 10 and 7. Roy remembers when the photo was taken.

Roy and Julian join Dandy in the office with Helena.

"Yes, Mommy. We won't be naughty." the two boys replied simultaneously.

"Already, Helena. They won't bother me. Come on, you guys come here! We took a photo together. Helen, please take a picture of the three of us."

Dandy took his camera. He is a hobby in photography.

Dandy sits in his big seat, while Roy and Julian are on his right and left side.

"Smile!" said Helena.

"The result must be good. Daddy's gonna put it on Daddy's desk."

"You're sure they won't interfere?" Helena glanced at her watch. He will attend Arisan with his friends.

"Related! This company will not be theirs. They must be introduced to the business world early on." replied Dandy.

Roy's eyes glazed over remembering all their moments together.

"Sister..."

Roy rubbed a picture of Julian smiling cheerfully.

"When are we going to go back to what we used to be? I miss our time together. Why is everything like this?"

The clear circle finally escaped to Roy's handsome face. Her chest is so tight. He put the picture back and then came out of the room.

Julian leaned his head against the cushion of the car while massaging his temples slowly.

"Sir, where are we going?" ask Leon.

"We go straight home." Julian replied, looking at the street.

The net is fixed on a large piece of writing on top of a building.

"Avicenna Group," murmured Julian.

Julian looked at the tall building for a moment.

"Stop the car!" julian's orders.

"What's up, Mister?"

"You go home first! I have a little business." Julian went straight out and crossed the street.

Leon just frowned then pushed his car back.

Julian stepped inside the building that now belonged to him. He took the elevator to the leader room.

Suwandi who saw Julian running hurriedly just silently looked at Julian.

"So Mr. Roy, now Mr. Julian. You have a very strong bond, why should you argue like this?" Suwandi muttered softly.

Julian walked into his father's room. The vast, glass-lined room restored all of his past memories. Julian stepped forward towards the desk that read CEO.

Julian sat in the seat of greatness that used to be occupied by his father and Roy. He stared at some of the pictures on the table.

There is a picture frame that turns out to be a photo of Herlina. Julian was quite surprised because it turns out his father still keeps a picture of his mother.

"Mom..." Julian took the photo.

Memories after memories that happened in the room began to flow through Julian's mind. He still remembered that he often came to his father's office with Roy.

Julian brought a picture frame of his mother and sat down on the sofa.

"Tell me what to do, Mom?" Julian rubbed his face. He did not want to be weak and cry.

"Why did it all go like this, Mom? Is this what Mommy wants?" julian spoke to the picture of his mother.

"Say, Mom!!!" Julian started to feel claustrophobic.

His vengeful heart began to melt due to the memory of his past.

"AARRGH!!!" shouts Julian.

Julian shuffled his body on the sofa by hugging a photo of his late mother.
