Chapters 106. Julian Happiness

A year has passed since Julian's accident. His condition recovered completely with Kartika who always accompanied him. His memory of Lian did not return. But the relationship between the two warmed up as a family.

Lono has managed to create many formulas that he developed for the progress of the fishermen in his village which is now back crowded. The coastal village has returned to life with residents who can not be separated from the sea.

Today Lian was busy preparing for her sister-in-law's wedding party. A lot of things happened during this one year and Lian was happy because Julian finally found his happiness from a Kartika.

Of course Julian and Kartika's wedding was no ordinary party. Both brides are influential people in the business world. From morning Lian struggled in the hotel ballroom to make sure everything looked perfect in her eyes.

After hours in the hotel, Lian returns home tired. He was greeted by Roy who spread his arms.

"You look so tired. Thank you for taking care of everything so well." Roy hugged his wife to relieve fatigue in Lian's body.

"What are you talking about, Mom. Julian's brother is my family too. I should have done this." Lian tightened her arms around the body of the man she loved so much.

The two of them were still outside the room when their lips clashed and took a sip at each other. Lian misses the touch of her husband who is always busy with corporate affairs and hospitals. Although tired, Lian would not waste this moment. Lian wrapped her hands around Roy's neck to make their kiss more intense.

"God! Mama! Papa!" Boy's voice made Lian and Roy open their eyes.

Lian and Roy flinched and immediately let go of each other. Their two sons looked at them strangely.

"Is that how adults express love?" asked the youngest Nathan innocently.

Lian smiled awkwardly. "Darling, it's already night. Why aren't you asleep?" Lian summarized her son's tiny face.

"I can't sleep. I want to sleep with Papa and Mama" whined Nathan.

Roy and Lian looked at each other.

"Alright, come!" Lian took Nathan into the room.

Roy nodded slowly. "Fear again!" muttered.

"It looks like Papa and Mama have a honeymoon." The eldest Boy seemed to understand with the expression of his father's heart.

"Ish, you are! You're too small to know this kind of thing" Roy said.

"I'm 12 years old, Pa. I already know enough about man and woman relationships." Boy blinked his eyes at Roy.

"Papa take it easy! After Uncle Julian's wedding, I'll prepare a surprise for you two. Mama needs a vacation, too, Pa. Well, then, have a good rest, Pa. I'm going back to my room."

"When did that kid turn out to be so mature? Did I miss a lot of things about him? Maybe it's because I'm too busy with my work" Roy murmured as he watched Boy's back move away.

The wedding day has finally arrived. Julian made a sacred promise to love Kartika for the rest of his life, accompanying her in joy and sorrow, healthy and sick.

Everyone was moved by the promise Julian made. Likewise with Kartika who did not feel dripping clear circles on her wedding day. This is not the first marriage for Kartika, but the happiness she felt seemed to bear witness if Julian was her first and last love.

Julian wiped the tears of Kartika. "Don't cry, it's a happy day for us."

"I cried because I was too happy, Julian. I love you, always love you."

"I should have said that." Julian cupped Kartika's face with his hand and landed a sweet kiss for his wife in front of all the guests.

What an envious couple. Even Lian and Roy were also moved happily by the excitement that was seen on their brother's face.

The dance party starts with each other. The bride and groom danced beautifully followed by the invited guests.

Roy stared at Lian inside as they danced.

"I don't want this night to end quickly" Roy whispered.

"Hey, I should have said that!"

Lian was laughing. "I'm grateful that we've been able to pass all these tests. All these years we've struggled, we've finally picked the fruit of our patience."

"Yes. Promise me you'll always be by my side, with me until death do us part."

"Yes, Mas. I promise."

After hearing Lian's reply, Roy began to erode the distance between them. Roy touched Lian's lips with his. Slow and rhythmic. Until the dance music ended, they were still engrossed in their own world. They don't even care if everyone's staring at them.

Julian and Kartika look at each other to see Roy and Lian who are mixing love. Julian gave a standing ovation which was followed by the invited guests present.

Roy and Lian were stunned as they heard applause all over the ballroom.

"Good, Mom! Have we done a show?" Lian covered her face in embarrassment.

Roy chuckled and looked at his brother who was getting louder and applauded. Roy brought Lian in a deck.

"Let's say we're the bride, baby," Roy whispered.

Lian pressed her body against Roy's. His shame can no longer be covered. Roy takes Lian off the dance floor.

As promised by Boy, it turns out he has prepared a honeymoon package for his father and mother to a tourist destination in eastern Indonesia. Even Julian and Kartika chose not to honeymoon because Kartika preferred to mingle with Nathan and Boy at home.

Julian took his two nephews to the amusement park in the city. Nathan was so excited about riding all the rides. But at the age of 6 years does not allow himself to ride all the rides.

Even the aged Julian did not want to lose to Boy. He also rides some extreme rides that make the heart beat faster than usual.

"Uncle dare to do it?" ask the boy who is unsure.

"Of course Uncle is sure. Are you doubting Uncle's ability, huh?!"

"No, it's just..." I don't know why Boy feels that this isn't a good thing. His feeling said something.

"Just calm! Uncle's gonna be fine." Julian walked forward to join the queue of adults who would ride the rides.

Kartika and Nathan are resting at a food stall because Nathan is exhausted after playing all day.

Julian held on tight and regulated his breathing before the ride began to run.

When the ride engine starts to take him up to the top of the altitude, Julian starts to turn a blind eye. His heart was racing as the machine was moving down at a really fast speed.

Julian's closed eyes seemed to see pieces of memory he had long forgotten.

Julian opened his eyes and shouted,

"DIAMOND!"
