Chapters 98. Swallowing the Bitter Pill

"Give me up, Lord!" Julian muttered with reddened eyes.

Now Julian's body is resting with both knees bent. His body began to weaken. But his determination still remains unanimous to get an answer from the mother of the orphanage.

Suddenly the caretaker approached Julian.

"Sir, the housewife told you to come in" said the guard.

Julian developed his smile.

"I did it" Julian murmured.

"Come, Sir. I help!" The guard broke Julian's body, which was about to collapse.

"Why is Master so stubborn? If anything happens to you, then the parlors will be blamed."

"Everything, the caretaker's mother should have been quicker to tell me to come in. So, there's not gonna be a drama like this."

Julian is welcome to sit in the visitor's living room. The guard lent her a towel to warm Julian up.

"Thank you, sir. Then, where's the caretaker's mother? I have to meet him today."

"Why are you so stubborn, sir? Didn't any of your relatives come here this morning?" Nur's voice made Julian look at her.

"You're right. My brother and his wife came here to find their missing son. You're always dealing with little kids, do you have the heart to see their grief? Women who five years ago gave up their babies are evil and dangerous women. He traded his dead son for my brother's son who was born healthy. They have been mourning the death of their son for five years. And I won't let them grieve anymore because of this. So, if you still have a heart, please tell me where my nephew is? Who has adopted him? Please say! I swear I'm not leaving here before I get information about my niece!" Julian spoke with breath.

Nur looked at Julian with pity. "Sorry..."

Julian closed his eyes. "I don't need your forgiveness. All I need is your honesty. Please!"

Nur thrust out a document in front of Julian.

"That person who adopted your sister's son. Sorry I can't say anything to you, because he .. he threatened if I leaked this thing, then the boy's life would be threatened. Please forgive me!"

Julian read the file carefully.

"Noel Alexander?" Julian looked at Nur questioningly.

"Yes. That man adopted your niece."

Julian cursed Noel in heart.

"Bad! So he's been hiding Lian's son. But why doesn't Zara know about this?"

"Sorry, Mom. What....before my family came, anyone else had ever come here?"

"Eh? About that..."

"Tell me! Fear not! If the man named Noel Alexander is the one who has threatened you, then don't worry. That man is in jail."

"Huh?! Actually ... Mr. Noel himself once came here with a woman named Esther. About a few months ago. He asked me to tell Esther if the child she had left here had been adopted by a family abroad. I don't know if it turns out Mr. Noel isn't who I thought he was."

Lusi and Lono visited the mansion after being contacted by Roy about Lian's condition. Of course Roy wouldn't feel good if he didn't tell Lian's parents.

"Dad, Mom, I'm sorry if I made you come here when it was raining like this" Roy said.

"It's okay, Roy. Where's Diamond?" Ask Lusi.

"Diamonds are resting in the room."

"Mom just meet Lian first," said Lono.

"Come, Mom. Come with me," replied Roy.

Not yet Roy and Lusi stepped up, the figure of Julian present with a limped step.

"Sister!!!" peeking Roy approaches Julian.

"What happened to my sister? Why is sister's clothes soaking wet like this?"

Julian did not answer and smiled.

"What does brother mean?" Roy still doesn't understand Julian's words.

"Where's Lian?"

"He's in his room."

"I have to tell him about this."

"But brother is soaking wet. Better change brother's clothes first."

"There's no time, Roy. Come on, you come with me too!"

Julian pulls Roy's hand. Then Lusi and Lono followed Roy in the back.

Roy opens the door to Julian. Lian was sitting near the window and looking at the raindrops.

"Lian!" Call Julian.

Lian turned her head and frowned when she saw Julian soaking wet.

"Sister Julian? What was? Why is sister soaking wet? Daddy's? Mammy? You guys here too?"

"Lian, I managed to find traces of your son. Your son and Roy" Julian said with sparkling eyes.

"really? Where's my son now, brother?"

"Patience! We'll see the guy tomorrow." Julian Assertive.

"That guy?" Lian knitted her brows.

"Yes. The one who adopted your son."

Lian smiled happily. "Mas, we're finally getting closer to our son." Lian was so happy to hear the news from Julian.

The next day, Lian leaves with Julian to the detention house where Noel is. The rumbling in Lian's heart began to smolder as she saw Noel in the attendant's guard and walked up to him.

Without ever expecting it turns out Lian instead ran towards Noel and shouted.

"Where's my son?!" Lian's thunderous voice made other visitors turn to her.

Julian immediately grabbed Lian's arm.

"Calm down, Lian. We're not making a fuss here! Come sit! We're talking to Noel." Julian had Lian sitting in the visitor's seat.

Lian sat opposite Noel.

"What else are you seeing me, Mr Julian?" Ask Noel in his casual style.

"Well, since I don't like being stale either, I'll just say it straight away. Where's Lian's son Zara left in the orphanage? Don't try to lie to me or you'll know the consequences!" Julian Assertive.

Noel laughing. "So, you guys came here just to ask me this?"

"Noel, please tell me where my son is?" Lian began to lower her emotions.

"Slow, Lian. I don't think you'll be able to find him. Nevermind! Just surrender!"

Lian shook her head. "No! I can't believe it. I'm sure my son must be somewhere. Where did you hide it?!?" Lian's tears are back.

Until the visit time was up, Noel said nothing about Lian's son. Again Lian had to swallow a bitter pill for not getting any information about her son.

To calm Lian down, Julian took her to a cafe.

"I'll order you a cup of warm chocolate." Julian said.

Lian just kept quiet with all Julian's treatment of her. His eyes were empty as if they were lifeless.

As Julian was about to return to his desk, his steps suddenly came to a halt.

"Julian!!" Someone called Julian's name.
