Chaptre 46. Belinda's Testimony

Roy went into Belinda's room and saw her heart was closed because of the influence of drugs injected by Riana. Roy sat on the edge of the bed and watched Belinda closely. He rubbed the top of Belinda's head gently.

"You must've had a hard time yesterday. I hope after this you can become a strong woman. Have you not lived your days in solitude? You can definitely face this. Fight, Bels! I hope you can testify to what happened in that house. Give justice to Grandpa Gerald. Even though I know, we've sown a lot of wounds on you."

Roy kissed Belinda long and in the forehead before she finally came out of Belinda's room.

Boy looked at Roy questioningly.

"Pa, is it true that Professor Gerald is dead?" ask Boy.

"Yes, son."

"I'm sorry Boy, Pa. If Boy could find Professor Gerald's trail sooner, he'd still be alive."

Roy smiles in response to Boy's apology. "You're too small to get into this, son. Let Uncle Patrick and Uncle Kenzo investigate the case."

"No, Pa. This is my case. The FBI asked me to find Professor Gerald's whereabouts. But I failed." Boy lowered his head.

Roy hugged his son. "Don't feel guilty, son. This is all a sign of fate." Roy rubbed the tiny back that was now feeling guilty.

"Now you rest. And accompany your mama. Papa's sure he needs you right now" Roy said.

"Mama needs Papa too. Boy hope after this Papa and Mama can unite."

Roy smiled. "Yes, Son. Papa also hopes that Mama can accept Papa soon."

"Boy will support Papa."

"Thank you, son. Now you go into the room and sleep. Tomorrow we'll talk to Mama if her condition improves."

Belinda's gaze turned soft. Roy is worried that something might happen to Belinda.

"I don't know what they're doing in that place, doctor. But..."

Roy swallowed his salivary. He did not expect that Belinda would tell him herself.

"I see Professor Gerald's condition as appalling. He was placed in that room alone. If I hadn't been there, he might have died before I got there."

"I don't know who those people are. They dressed like... Nurses and doctors. I never met them in person either. They always come when I'm asleep. They brought me food and change of clothes. It looks like they ... It was intentional to eliminate Professor Gerald slowly."

"Zara, I'm so sorry for your loss. I didn't expect Grandpa Gerald to leave so soon."

Zara smiled cynically. "Then?"

"Don't you want to know what caused Grandpa Gerald's death?"

Zara began to understand where Roy's conversation was going.

"I'm sorry, but I don't intend to file an autopsy."

"Zara!!!" Roy raised his voice.

Roy was upset. "We'll see, Zara. I can definitely get proof that you're the one who wiped out Professor Gerald." said Roy, then got in his car and left the Zara compound.
