Chaptre 61. There's No point in arguing

Lian took Helena to the hospital cafeteria which could be said to be a restaurant. Lian ordered some menus that Helena used to eat at her house.

When the order came, Helena still did not eat her food. Lian took the initiative to feed Helena.

"Open his mouth, Mom!" lian's orders in a soft voice.

Helena was moved by Lian's warm attitude. He also complies. Until finally the food on Helena's plate has been toilet.

"Thank you" said Helena.

Helena held onto Lian's cheek. "Did it hurt?"

"Eh?"

"I'm sorry I've always been so rude to you. I misjudged you. You're a good girl."

"Already, Mom. The past let it pass. Now all we have to think about is the recovery of Mas Roy."

Helena nodded. It turned out to be so painful to find Roy seriously ill and struggling between life and death.

"Mom, Mommy better rest in the pavilion. Let me take care of Mas Roy tonight."

Helena nodded then she walked with Lian towards the special pavilion for the hospital's family of directors.

Meanwhile, Julian comes out of Roy's nursery and meets Maliq.

"What should we do, Maliq?"

"Patience! I'm sure we'll definitely get a matching donor."

Julian nodded.

"I saw Aunt Helena starting to accept Lian" Maliq said.

"Oh yeah? That lady? Can you take Lian?" cycad Julian.

"I guess because of the softness of Lian's heart, Aunt Helena began to melt." added Maliq.

"Patrick?" The soft voice called out Julian's name.

Julian turned his head and looked at Lian with a puzzled expression.

"You're here?" ask Lian.

"Yes. I'm visiting Roy, my brother."

"Doctor Maliq, there's an emergency in the rose's nursery" a nurse approached Maliq and spoke to him.

"All right, I'll be there soon. Sorry yes, I have to go." said Maliq.

Now Lian and Julian are. They're still quiet with each other.

"Have you eaten?" ask Lian for a little chat.

Julian chuckles. "I'm not a stranger, Diamond. Don't be so stiff with me."

"Sorry..."

"You must be surprised to find out the truth about my family. The family I've long left."

"Do you hate them?"

"What kind of question is that, Lian? I love my family. It's just that I .. can't let all this continue. There'll only be pain that Roy feels if all this keeps happening."

"So you want to avenge yourself?"

"Where did you get that kind of information? I'm not taking revenge."

Lian grabbed her phone and called someone.

"Who did you call?" ask Julian.

"Daddy. I called him earlier, but I still haven't hooked up."

Julian grunting. "He is like that. You better not force yourself."

"Look Daddy's a good guy."

"Yeah, that's what you think. You don't know what he's like. You gonna stay here? Then, excuse me. I have to get back to my office." Julian said goodbye to Lian who was still untrustworthy about what happened.

At midnight, Lian falls asleep next to Roy's gurney with her arms raised as a pillow. Suddenly someone entered Roy's nursery.

"Roy!" it was that person's shriek that made Lian instantly blink from her sleep.

Lian fixed her appearance.

"Daddy?" said Lian.

"Roy!! What's going on with you, son?"

"Where's Helena?"

"Mommy was in the pavilion with grandfather."

Not knowing what was being felt by Dandy, he instead went back from Roy's room.

"What's wrong with her?" lian murmuring.

Unexpectedly, Dandy meets Maliq and cries in front of him. Dandy roared lamenting Roy's fate, which was now on the horns.

"Save him, Maliq! Take my heart! Please don't let him go this way!" Dandy shook Maliq's body which remained unmoved.

Maliq himself did not know what to say. "Uncle, don't do this! All of us as a team of doctors are working on what's best for Roy."

Dandy removed his hand from Maliq's shoulder. He sits drowning in front of Maliq.

"I'd better break Uncle in the pavilion. It's already night. Let's talk tomorrow about Roy's condition." Maliq swept Dandy's body into the pavilion.

Maliq returns to meet Lian after dropping off Dandy.

"Doctor Maliq, did Daddy see you?"

"Yes. He came to see me and his condition was fucked. You better get back to rest. You look tired too."

"Yes. Thank you, Doctor." Lian said goodbye to Maliq.

The next day, there was a commotion in the pavilion room of the special place that the hospital directors used to rest. A security man came to break up but he chose silence and wanted to interfere in the personal affairs of the two people. No one dared to break up the debate between the hospital officials.

Not finding a good way to stop the debate, security finally decided to meet Maliq who was in Roy's room. Lian who heard the story immediately followed the security with Maliq.

Lian is shocked to discover that Helena and Dandy are arguing in front of Donald. Lian approached Donald who looked frustrated because of the behavior of his son-in-law and son.

"Stop you guys!" Lian was surprised because it turned out that Donald finally made a sound.

"There's no point arguing like this. Roy doesn't need your fight!" said Donald who made both of them.

"Are you not ashamed of your age? Have you forgotten your image as the top brass of this hospital?"

Donald set his breath. He was no longer young to scream like that.

"It is good that you have forgotten who you are. Because it doesn't matter if you look at Roy's comatose condition. Even your wealth and office cannot make him recover as he was. So, stop this and take care of your son."

Lian and Maliq looked at each other. They knew what pain Donald was in.

The debate ends with Dandy giving up and leaving. The nearly collapsed Donald is soon captured by Lian.

"Grandfather..." Lian was very worried about Donald's condition.

"Grandfather's okay, son." Donald convinced Lian.

"What's wrong with my grandfather's car, why do you have such a son."

Lian looked pityfully at the old man who was lamenting his fate.

In a different place, Dandy drives his car at a fairly high speed. He was angry at himself for not being able to look after his son. Again he failed to be a good father to his two sons.

"I am useless. I don't deserve to live! I'm not a good father. Forgive Daddy, Julian, Roy..." Dandy shed tears as he continued to step on the gas pedal deeper.

Returning to the hospital, Roy's condition suddenly decreased. Maliq immediately took Roy into intensive space to find out his condition further.

"Mas Roy, hang in there... Please survive!" Lian continued to murmur prayers for her husband. Helena could not keep shedding her tears.

"Don't take my son, God! Just take my life!" muttered Helena.

While Donald can only resign to the circumstances that will happen to Roy later.

"He's tired, God. There was enough suffering he had been through all this time. If you really want to take it, then that's the best." Donald closed his eyes.

Then Donald approached Helena and Lian who were hugging each other.

"Let her go, Helena..." Donald.

Lian and Helena rounded her eyes.

"He was in enough pain. Let him take off all the burdens in his life."

Lian couldn't believe what Donald said.
