Legend of the Dragon God

Legend of the Dragon God
CH. 1 – Liu Chang.

Long ago, far away, in the dark ages, there were some great wars between black and white. I don't know what they fought for until the battle broke out.

But certainly, among some of the great battles, there is the most famous war called the war of the demons.

Dubbed so, the reason was only one, the group of black streams brought in reinforcements from the other Continent, a form of destruction, boundless power, a cunning stratagem that had no equal, namely the Devil.

Did anyone manage to help the destruction of the Continent back then? Sure exists. Until now, if one were to ask about the war hero, there was only one answer: the Legend of the Dragon God!

The Dragon God, always revered and praised in every passing age. Whether it's how many centuries have passed, books or books about his legend will always appear as children's lessons.

Even today the legend still exists, remembered by everyone, told from generation to generation long ago, in order for them to know that great power needs to be accompanied by good qualities that are also inherent.

Enough about the legend, we go back to the present, a thousand years after the terrible demon war.

In this period, the Jade Plain Continent had more territory than a thousand years ago. There were ten of them, covering 4 large empires and 6 small countries.

The four great empires had names taken from the winds, while the six small countries had their own names since the beginning of their formation. Some country names are chosen from proposals and suggestions that go to the government but other countries are determined by deliberation among the top officials of their government.

Northern Jade Empire, Capital of San Yie. There was a teenager named Liu Chang. Born into a noble family Liu did not turn out to make his life away from the word misery.

After Liu Chang was born, his mother not long after dying from his frail condition, Liu Chang who was conceived for more than a year became the cause.

A few years later, Liu Chang's father also abandoned him after being killed on a mission. The age of Liu Chang who was still three years old at that time certainly really needed extra attention from both parents apart from the affection that was also very much needed.

After losing both of his parents Liu Chang lived with his uncle who was still a sibling of his father, until he was five years old Liu Chang lived a fairly quiet life even without the presence of parents.

But a few years before his sixth birthday, for no apparent reason his uncle suddenly sold Liu Chang to the Han noble family which was one of the great nobles in the city of San Yie.

Liu Chang who was still innocent and innocent at that time certainly thought his uncle wanted to take him around in the city of San Yie, the Capital of the Northern Jade Empire. Liu Chang's thoughts were not as shallow as he had expected.

A few days later Liu Chang learned of his uncle's intentions after several Han family members explained this to Liu Chang. Liu Chang could only accept all of that resignedly without the slightest bit of grudge and live his new life being a servant of the Han family.

The Han family itself included the five great nobles who controlled the Northern Jade Empire and their center of power was certainly San Yie, the largest city in this empire.

To date, Liu Chang has never returned nor asked for permission to visit his family in Xin Long city, 25km from San Yie, where the Liu family lives. According to Liu Chang the treatment of the Han family to him was still better than his own family.

Although Liu Chang was sold to them, the Han family did not look down on Liu Chang in the least and gave him a job to his liking, besides Liu Chang also getting a wage from the job.

In the past two years, Liu Chang had begun to enter a different occupation: to serve as a restaurant waiter. Since long ago to work in this place was just a wishful thinking of Liu Chang but this time was not nonsense anymore considering he managed to become a master servant.

These two years Liu Chang worked so hard because since childhood his dream was to become a respected chef throughout the Northern Jade Empire. Liu Chang often even entered work that was not his working hours just to see the chefs serving quality cuisine.

The opportunity to see such a thing was certainly rare because the waiter was only assigned to deliver dishes and record orders, in addition to two things it was certainly prohibited. Liu Chang's talent that did not lead to the way of the swordsman was also closely related to the sale of him.

What is it to take care of a goat that is thin and cannot produce milk? Better to sell it, right. That was what Liu Chang was experiencing.

After seeing his contribution so great, the Han family gave Liu Chang the appropriate reply of elevating him to the main steward and replacing the chef when one of them could not enter.

“All my hard work really paid off today! Two years not in vain ..” Liu Chang shouted loudly beside the restaurant building, right after getting his appointment letter.

The shout made the passersby look at him in wonder. But Liu Chang really did not care about the various astonished views of the passers-by, he just wanted to release his happiness to this world.

“Alright, sorry to make you hassles.” Liu Chang hurriedly stored the letter into his back pocket.

After going inside, Liu Chang looked at the pile of orders that were so piled up on the chef's table. “It turns out today the god is being generous at Han's restaurant, how many gold coins were collected from this order ..” Inner Liu Chang looked at the list of hanging order papers.

Liu Chang immediately helped the other servants with their work, delivered the prepared dishes and recorded the orders. Not long after came some people from the Yun nobility, they numbered five people.

After they sat down, someone from the noble family called Yun Chang to order.

"Ah, Mr. Yun .. thank you for choosing this restaurant. This is our menu today." Liu Chang gave the man his menu list.

"I came because I heard this restaurant has a distinctive taste, I ordered this and this as many as five servings." Master Yun pointed at the menu he ordered.

"Okay, I've noted this one ... You don't want to order another menu?" Liu Chang asked back before leaving to hand the menu to the chef.

"Right now is just that, son. Why are you asking me that?" ask Master Yun.

"Hm ... If Master Yun is interested, we currently have a hundred year old wolf stealth meat dish, The price per hundred grams is 5 pieces of silver. Are you interested in ordering it, sir?"

"What?! A hundred-year-old wolf-stealthy meat? For my guests who are so special today, I will order 5 kilograms of such stealth meat.”

Master Yun's order clearly made Liu Chang turn out to be very happy. By getting 250 gold coins from Mr. Yun, then the end of the month's wages will increase many times more than usual. Even Han restaurants have no more than 250,000 gold coins from the San Yie branch a month.

"Okay sir, please wait a while until the dish is ready." Liu Chang moved back into the kitchen with a heart full of excitement.

When Liu Chang was just about to step foot towards the kitchen further, the danger bell of San Yie City managed to stop his steps. It was seen that all customers on the second floor also stopped eating because of the sound of the city bells.

As their curiosity grew, most of the customers ran towards this second-floor window to see more clearly what was happening.

After a moment of seeing the scene outside, most of the customers shouted in fear and tried to get out of the second floor quickly. Even some of the customers did not try to cover up his fear and let their wet pants be clearly visible.

Liu Chang who saw this commotion immediately caught something dangerous from those faces, he stopped someone from asking about the state of the city.

“Hey, what caused the bell to ring?”

“Ah, currently a bunch of demons are attacking the city of San Yie. Already finished? I want to go now,” said one customer with a face of fear that was not covered up.

“Silumans?! I have to tell other waiters and managers!” Liu Chang ran quickly to tell the servants and servants on the first floor who might not have heard the bells.
