Ch. 37 - Hero Liu Chang and his dragon.

"Patriarch, senior.... Why did it go like this, why wasn't Yu Hongli executed? And why are you blasphemous?" Liu Chang arrived at the center of the city which was usually used as a meeting hall.

Patriarch Bing smiled faintly, "The townspeople think we are putting up a rebellion for personal gain, if only they knew the truth... We can handle this easily."

Liu Chang nodded slowly, he searched for Yu Hongli's whereabouts but did not manage to find him, Liu Chang then climbed onto the rooftop. Trying to improve his limited visibility.

"That Yu Hongli, he's so cunning apparently!"

Liu Chang saw Yu Hongli was currently being mobbed by the residents of Jian Yi City, and some of them were city officials when viewed from the clothes they were wearing.

"Mayor Yu, look at how cruel they are to you, your face even to the brink of this." exclaimed one of the officials, he was a person who was quite close to Yu Hongli and so followed his orders even though what Yu Hongli ordered was a mistake.

"Yes, I'm doing this for the people of this city, I can't let them do anything at will. So, I tried to stop them as hard as I could and the result was that I won despite having to swallow all these wounds.." the residents who heard that looked at Yu Hongli proudly, as well, they thought Yu Hongli was a mayor who cared deeply for the population. What they did not know from Yu Hongli was his behind-the-scenes moves, he did all the deeds that led to corruption and bribery.

"Consider to what townspeople!? You just wanted to kill former mayor Xie Bing earlier today! Just so you know, she's just a Blood Rain Group doll.." a girl's voice broke the crowd of residents, and, Liu Chang who was on the roof could see who was cursing at Yu Hongli.

"Why is he here?" liu Chang asked in astonishment, he recognized the girl so well.

"Hey lady, you could have us executed if we said that!!"

"Please, I won't be afraid to die to defend the truth!!"

"Well, let's drag him to be executed with those two fools!!"

Everyone dragged the girl onto the execution stage. Liu Chang immediately followed the movements of the townspeople, and landed down right at the footsteps of the crowd.

"Who else is this? Do you want to be executed too?" exclaimed one of the city officials, he was quite an influential person and his every voice would definitely be heard by the residents.

"You don't know who he is, do you? She was the daughter of Xie Bing, the former Mayor Jian Yi ten years ago!!" as Liu chang finished saying that, everyone turned their eyes to the girl, some people from the crowd put on guilty faces.

"Miss Lian forgive us." Some people who once felt the kindness of Lian became sorry to have done something bad to her.

"Hey don't believe him, do you remember that Xie Bing ten years ago attacked the city using the undead army on all of you."

"Oh I challenge you, how do you know Xie Bing did that?" Liu Chang denied this, he framed the official into telling him the truth.

"That's because... Mayor Yu, help me."

"Stupid take care of your own business don't throw it at me."

Yu Hongli kicked the official, and from that kick the townspeople knew the magnitude of Yu Hongli's strength. They finally believed that what Lian said was true.

Eventually all the townspeople realized Xie Bing and Patriarch Bing were innocent in the rebellion against Yu Hongli's leadership. Xie Bing and Patriarch Bing did not become executed residents and spread Yu Hongli's execution throughout the city. Similarly, the officials allegedly are members of the Blood Rain Group.

On that day due to successfully being the one to stop Yu Hongli's rule, Liu Chang and Gang Wei gained great appreciation from the citizens. They made Liu Chang a statue, equipped with Gang Wei made in his dragon form.

Gang Wei who saw the statue could only faintly smile, he could not dodge something that the previous inhabitants already knew, moreover, some of the rebel forces had seen with their own eyes Gang Wei transform into a dragon.

If the townspeople of Jian Yi were asked about who the person on the statue was, they would usually always answer that question with the same answer, "hero Liu Chang and his dragon who saved this city**."

After the various big parties for two whole days, Liu Chang and Gang Wei left intending to continue the journey and say goodbye to the rest of the town.

"Chang'er, save this badge. If you show me this badge, the Young Sword Association branch in any city will help you." Patriarch Bing gave him a badge which he thought would ease Liu Chang's journey later.

On the other hand Gang Wei was getting a lot of fresh meat from the rebel forces who had currently been living a normal life. "It's a lot.... You seem to know my favorite is stealth meat." Gang Wei wiped his lips, while the residents could only laugh at Gang Wei's reaction.

"Chang'er, i... I can only give this to you." In addition, Liu Chang also got things from Lian. While Xie Bing gave a Book of Sword Science to Liu Chang.

Liu Chang realized that even though he was so short in this city, his first experience of keeping this kind of peace was extremely valuable and he would never forget.

From the moment he entered the bar to find out information to witness Yu Hongli's execution himself. Liu Chang shook his head slowly, he realized Gang Wei's current attitude was more often relaxed to the point of not paying attention to the path they were currently heading towards. Liu Chang looked at the map he got from Patriarch Bing, and decided to make a temporary stopover in a small country called Dorrego. The country coincidentally was in the middle of the territory of the Southern Jade Empire and the Western Jade Empire.

"Little country of Dorrego huh? It's not foreign."
