Legend of the Dragon God

Legend of the Dragon God
CH. 8 – Sword Science.

Liu Chang scratched his non-itchy head hearing Feng San's words. What does the teacher mean in the tree?

After looking at it for a while, Feng San then approached one of the trees that had the most diameter. A moment later the tree fell and left only a tree trunk and a few branches without a single leaf left.

After repeatedly tapping several pieces of the trunk, Feng San flicked his arm towards the tree trunk, not how long a sword complete with carvings and its casings had been in his hands.

“We get the best, accept this wooden sword!” Feng San threw the wooden sword in his hand at Liu Chang.

After being in his grasp, Liu Chang only realized the weight of this wooden sword was unusual. It weighed even more than a lump of iron. If only he had not seen Feng San make this sword out of a wooden rod, Liu Chang would have definitely thought that the sword in his hand was titanium.

“Hah, .. why is it so heavy even though the material is made of wood?” Liu Chang grumbled in his mind. After trying to attempt to raise one hand, Liu Chang finally gave up and used his left hand to support the weight of this wooden sword.

Liu Chang glanced towards Feng San who had been just sitting under a tree watching him.

“Gu–guru, what wood is this? Weighing is very unreasonable.”

“The sword is called Ulin. Ulin wood also has the nickname iron wood in its original place, because so hard wood, cutting it itself is like cutting iron.

Oh yes, to train your hand muscles, do a sword swing like a samurai, do not stop before reaching 10000 times!” Feng San looked back at his book after saying so.

Liu Chang only looked at the wood in front of him with a bitter smile. With a weight like this, 10000 times the swing is so difficult, it might be achieved after one week, maybe,

Realizing such a pessimistic nature was useless, Liu Chang threw away the thought and started swinging his wooden sword bit by bit.

“Domitable breeder, keep practicing like that. So when you start traveling you will know the rigors of life, Chang'er.” Feng San looked at Liu Chang for a moment before turning his gaze back towards his book.

°°°°

Time passed one day after Liu Chang started swinging his sword nonstop, his own hands began to reach their limits and had red bruises on the muscles.

“2367 ... 2368!” Liu Chang continued to count the number of his swings nonstop, the weight of the wooden sword equivalent to tens of kilograms made his own hands seem like they did not feel any at the moment.

Until now the entire swing of the sword was done by Liu Chang without a break, even if it was only a few minutes Liu Chang would repeat his howl to the number earlier when he was off guard.

It seemed that the stubborn nature of his father was indirectly declining to him. Not easy to give up and not let others trouble are some of the things.

“Retest, Son! Finishing it before morning will also not make you strong in an instant!” Feng San patted Liu Chang on the shoulder before walking towards his hut.

Even though it looked like Liu Chang had more stamina than ordinary humans, Feng San could not let his only disciple get hurt from overstimulating himself.

“Good, Master.”

Liu Chang nodded slowly, after Liu Chang only realized that his body was exhausted, he could not stand it anymore. Finally Liu Chang fell asleep on the grass that he had used a few seconds ago.

The next morning, Liu Chang woke up and intended to wash his face and continue his unfinished training yesterday.

“What is this? No way?"

Liu Chang frowned when he saw the muscles of his hands enlarged, even so when moved his entire body felt light and powerful.

“Maybe I tried something else, swimming in the Eternal Ice River will prove all this is real or just a dream!”

Liu Chang ran with the science of lightening his body, previously several times he had tried to train this science but all his efforts still failed but now his body was like forged very well to be able to run fast.

Before Liu Chang could throw himself into the cold water, someone pulled his hand and carried him back to the meadow.

“Teacher? Why are you preventing me?” Liu Chang found Feng San who was currently carrying him.

“There's a line between genius and fool, what do you do to prove your strength increases by plunging yourself into that cold water? The water will even make you sick.” Feng San casually explained Liu Chang's mistake while flying at high speed.

Not long after, the two arrived at the meadow that Liu Chang had been practicing yesterday, Feng San took Liu Chang down not long after they arrived.

“We will train again, this time using Dragon God Sword Science.”

Liu Chang nodded slowly, and prepared to receive the training that Feng San gave him.

“There are 14 variations of the style, in each style has sub-straight as many as a thousand movements. Watch this!”

Feng San picked up the sword that had been slung at his waist, not long after that Feng San started displaying complicated movements but on the other hand was also so strong that it created effective movements.

“Move like this! When in a defensive position use some movement on the number one thousand that has a strong defense, always remember that, Chang'er!

After that, in the second step there are some movements that make your attack will be more blunt if you make a little wrong movement, do it like this to anticipate!” Feng San told Liu Chang to follow his advice regarding some moves.

After Liu Chang thought he remembered enough, Feng San then told Liu Chang to demonstrate the moves he saw earlier.

Liu Chang stood up from sitting cross-legged and then began to demonstrate the style exemplified by Feng San. At first there were many mistakes in Liu Chang's movements but the longer Liu Chang demonstrated, the more he showed some moves that even Feng San had not demonstrated.

“What? He mastered the fifth style with all those waist pain movements?” Feng San was stunned to see the beauty of Liu Chang's swordplay, he guessed that Liu Chang had previously studied the Dragon God Sword Science secretly.

“Enough, Chang'er. Come here!”

Liu Chang stopped his swordplay as he was about to complete all of the fifth move, then approached Feng San according to his orders.

“Is something wrong, Teacher?” Liu Chang raised his eyebrows when Feng San looked at him for quite a while in surprise.

Feng San smiled faintly before saying, “Have you seen this book before, then secretly read it?” Feng San showed a golden-colored book with a dragon engraving on its cover.

“Ah, the book. It was an interesting book, something I didn't know was all in it, although some of the languages I didn't know but seeing those movements seemed to lead me to a calm stream.

When I get tired of the books, I usually read the books you have, Guru.” Liu Chang answered the question enthusiastically.

Feng San patted his forehead, after so far he had only realized teaching the movement to people who had known his knowledge was no different from a fool.

“Show some moves you mastered! I want to see it.”
