Ch. 80 – Thousand Year Old Demon.

Basile relates that the Everard tribe had pieces of the stones that Liu Chang brought here, and unfortunately the place where the inscription was kept by a demon thousands of years old. All this time no one wanted to approach or even fight him, such was Basile's explanation.

“This is what makes the Everard tribe dizzy for decades. Besides no one has the courage in our tribe to enter it.”

“Do you guys not have something like an heirloom or another thing that can drive it away?” Liu Chang knew very well that usually every tribe has an heirloom, should the Everard tribe have it.

“Our heirloom? Of course being in the room guarded by the demon, I don't know what made it appear ten years ago.” Basile gritted his teeth, actually if his friends in the outside world were still alive he could have asked them for help.

Liu Chang nodded slowly before explaining his plan to fight the demon. Basile initially did not believe Liu Chang's words but seeing its seriousness, Basile finally nodded and heard what Liu Chang was going to plan to do.

Liu Chang immediately asked Basile to gather some people who mastered the change in the type of energy in the five earth-forming elements. Liu Chang asked for as many people as Basile could invite in his plan this time.

About an hour later, twenty people not far from Salazar came to Basile's room, seen from the look of their eyes these twenty people were tribal fighters in charge of protecting Eve Valley.

“Thank you chairman, these people were very helpful. Chairman just wait for the good news here, and I along with these twenty people will go to the inscription room.” Liu Chang lowered his head along with the twenty people earlier, then went in the direction that chairman Basile had appointed.

After being close enough to its location, Liu Chang stopped the group of people behind him. It astonished everyone including Chiriyu, but their curiosity was immediately answered after Liu Chang sat down on one of the stones.

“Pair with someone who has the same element as you, land with earth, fire with fire, then the remaining elements create a group that is opposite to your own element.”

After Liu Chang said so, around five groups of four people were formed, on Liu Chang's right gathered five four fire-elemented people and on Liu Chang's left side gathered four other earth-elemented people. While the two groups in the middle have the opposite earth-forming element of their groupmates.

“You wait here, let me advance and finish off the demon. While your task is to make a ground seal and then combine with water until mud forms!” Liu Chang walked casually into the cave with Chiriyu, without thinking about everyone being astonished by his words just now.

“Hei, wait ..”

“For what you make this group hany–”

“To beware if the demon is spouting something like poison, do your job well.” Liu Chang immediately cut off the words of the Everard tribe members who were shouting at him. And continued his steps entering the inscription room that was currently inhabited by a thousand-year-old demon.

The condition of the fifteen meter tall cave was very quiet and dark when Liu Chang entered but Liu Chang could feel a dense murderous aura adorning the entire cave wall, even a slight smell of blood rippled from the mouth of the cave.

Actually Liu Chang is not afraid if the thousand-year-old demon—which is still faint form it— spews poison, but just in case Liu Chang brought Chiriyu with him into the cave at once in order to train his fighting instincts.

“Sister, you don't hear something like someone muttering?” Chiriyu suddenly retreated and took shelter behind Liu Chang as she had just entered the cave five meters deep.

“Eh no, why? You hear anything?” Liu Chang raised his eyebrows about Chiriyu's question.

“Not so, although it was not heard .. His voice was like meme—” Chiriyu suddenly cried out in fear and directly ran to take cover behind Liu Chang while pulling his robe.

Liu Chang understood Chiriyu's frightened gesture as he felt for himself that something enormous was heading towards the two at this moment.

Liu Chang immediately pulled the Lightning God Sword from his concubine, preparing to retaliate for the incoming attack.

Liu Chang and Chiriyu started to feel enormous footsteps also violently getting closer towards them. Liu Chang thought of ordering Chiriyu to change shape into a demon just in case.

“GROAAAARRRR!!”

Liu Chang became wary when he heard the roar from within the cave, he immediately drew out his sword and prepared to release the weight of the slash while Chiriyu transformed into a leech demon as big as a small house.

From inside the cave was a bat-shaped demon with wingspan reaching four meters towards Liu Chang, the color of his eyes was blood red as if ready to pounce on anyone who was blocking his path.

“Kelelawa?! Damn it.” Liu Chang rolled to the side and took refuge behind the rock when he saw the hot spray of poison directed at him.

“Chiriyu .. ah, he's smarter than I thought.” Liu Chang saw Chiriyu understand the situation faster by first firing poison as the bat stealth poison pointed at him.

The bat demon was no better, after his surprise attack was successfully avoided, he again fired the same poison and deployed his subordinates who were from inside the cave to attack Liu Chang and Chiriyu.

“Strike both! Don't leave their bodies behind in the slightest!!!”

After the order it was said hundreds of bats of considerable size were aiming at Liu Chang and Chiriyu. Not only did it attack with claws and fangs, some bats also spouted poison like their leader.

Liu Chang was no better, he was preoccupied with the attacks of hundreds of bats attacking as ferociously as any other bat.

The bat leader took advantage of Liu Chang's troubled opportunity, he headed towards Chiriyu who was currently near the mouth of the cave as it looked weaker. Liu Chang who saw Chiriyu immediately signaled him to attack using his mucus as well as the poison fog from his body.

Chiriyu understood the gesture and immediately spouted a large amount of poison into the swarm of bats flying towards him, most of the attacks successfully hit and left them dead, causing them to die, while the leader managed to avoid the poison that Chiriyu fired.

Liu Chang on the other hand had managed to kill dozens of bats from his one strike, while even more bats flying towards him made him unable to go in any other direction other than attacking swirling inside the cave.

“Poison fog?! Don't think we'll lose to it, finish him!!” The bat leader again called out to his subordinates when he saw Chiriyu's attacks.

The bats responded to that and moved while shouting with ear-splitting sounds towards Chiriyu, they attacked more ferociously and had a formation after the call of their leader earlier. Chiriyu was overwhelmed and cornered to survive at the mouth of the cave.

“Damn it, this bat horde is endless, Chiriyu .. wait!!” Liu Chang again shook off more moves, along with the attack dozens of bats were killed in front of Liu Chang and the area in the cave began to fill with blood splashes.

At the mouth of the cave, Chiriyu regained the attacks of hundreds of increasingly ferocious bats attacking no matter Chiriyu's poison the more that led to them.

“Bats?! Demon leeches!!”

“It looks like they are the inhabitants of this cave?!”

“Look no, that leech demon seemed to be hostile to the bat horde!!”
