Legend of the Dragon God

Legend of the Dragon God
CH. 6 – Bone Quality.

“This ... not extinguished in the slightest?!” Liu Chang was quite surprised that the Cat Tongue stalk on his body did not go out, whereas a few seconds ago he heard the sound of the flames being extinguished. After a long moment of gasp, Liu Chang immediately realized that he was in the water, his breathing would be depleted quickly if he did not immediately take the fruit.

Liu Chang then moved his legs faster to the bottom of the river, he hoped that his small body was strong enough to withstand the extremely swift flow of the river.

But after trying it many times the flow of the river always managed to wash his body further from the bottom of the river. Before his breath was completely exhausted, Liu Chang tried even harder. At least I should get one, Liu Chang thought.

After his last attempt had been successful, Liu Chang hurriedly returned to the surface, warming his body while thinking of some way to deal with the coldness of the river water as well as the rushing current.

“Puahh!!”

Liu Chang arrived at the surface of the river, in the first experiment he only got one fruit and the fruit he got was not in good condition. The fruit was slightly crushed to the rock as Liu Chang clutched it forcibly.

After easing the river chill, Liu Chang decided to go back to picking up some of the Cat Tongue stalks, Liu Chang felt he had to carry more of them so that the river chill would be more palatable.

“With this my body is warm enough.” Liu Chang groped into his entire body. The heat of the flames slowly began to enter after Liu Chang wrapped more stalks of the Cat Tongue.

After doing some simple body warming, Liu Chang again jumped into the stream. This time Liu Chang tried harder to hold his body back from being easily carried away by the current, he gripped one of the stones under the stream but the flow of water which was also stronger brought his body back away from where it was before.

“If like this continues ... Those fruits I won't be able to get!!” Liu Chang moved his legs even harder, this time he did not hesitate to expel all his energy against the swift and cold undercurrents of the river.

After several attempts, Liu Chang's hand finally managed to obtain three Blood Demon Fruits at once. Liu Chang quickly returned to the surface of the river. He could feel his body being exposed to quite strange conditions because the feeling of heat and cold fused in his body temperature.

“Huh .. finally, these three pieces are enough for one day.” Liu Chang jumped up in excitement, although his body still felt strange but the sensation of diving like earlier was also pleasant for him.

After drying his clothes, Liu Chang returned to Feng San's hut with a big smile. It felt like the last time Liu Chang felt happy like this was when he was given a fair amount of money after working for a month in the Han family residence.

After running for a few minutes, Liu Chang finally reached Feng San's hut. The distance of the Ice River and this hut is indeed not too far, only a few kilometers away.

“Teacher, I'm back!” Liu Chang shouted looking for Feng San to all corners of the hut, he thought Feng San was inside. However after searching around for quite a while and not also finding it, Liu Chang finally gave up and waited for Feng San in the front yard.

Liu Chang sat in front of the hut as he normally did, he tried to consume the Blood Demon Fruit he had just obtained. One of the three fruits was slightly blackish in color making Liu Chang look at him for quite a while, he was so happy to get a good quality fruit.

“It is better that I consume this fruit from the youngest .. The effect of dark colored fruit I have not known...” Liu Chang kept some of the blackish-colored fruits, currently the younger-colored fruits should indeed be his first in consuming them.

Liu Chang then divided the young colored fruit into several parts, since a few days ago this method Liu Chang always used, because the effect of the fruit had not been well received by his body.

Not long after Liu Chang started meditating to absorb the efficacy, Feng San came up with a large pouch in his hand just like a few days ago.

“You're this. Comehere! I want to talk about something.” Feng San rubbed Liu Chang's head, then walked over to one of the stones and sat on it.

Feng San then opened the large pouch in his hand, he explained the contents inside were nutritious plants to improve the quality of bones.

Liu Chang raised his brows when he heard the term bone quality.

Feng San who heard that, immediately explained that one of the things that became the benchmark of a swordsman was the quality of bones as well as strong body structure. To practice and improve the quality, usually the warriors will do hard training for years with a small percentage increase.

While the smart swordsmen prefer to improve the quality of their bones with resources such as plants or miracle drugs but the price of plants that have such properties is also very expensive to buy.

The two different methods make the strength of those who use resources superior to everything, both in time and quality.

Liu Chang nodded slowly after hearing Feng San's explanation, now he understood why warriors could be grouped based on his strength.

“Then those plants must have something to do with bone quality, right?” Liu Chang pointed at some plants that had strange shapes.

Feng San smiled faintly then explained that some of the plants he brought were all efficacious to improve bone quality but had the same effect as the Blood Demon Fruit.

In determining the quality of the bones, several famous warriors gathered and discussed to make various methods in assessing them. The results of the discussion were then written in various martial arts books.

Based on the book of self-defence, the bones of a swordsman are divided into several special sub-subs including the weakest of the Wolf Bone, Lion Bone, and Lightning God Bone.

The Wolf Bone was divided into three namely the weakest was the Black Wolf Bone then the Silver Wolf Bone and the strongest Iron Wolf Bone.

The Lion Bone was divided into three as well namely the Wind Lion Bone, the Mighty Lion Bone and the latter the Diamond Lion Bone.

Then last was the Lightning God Bone which was divided into two namely the Earth Lightning God Bone and the Sky Lightning God Bone.

After explaining the overall quality of bones, Feng San then gave some plants that are efficacious to improve bone quality.

Some of the plants would later help Liu Chang in raising the quality of his bones quickly but the effect he received was also comparable to its efficacy.

For the first plant he would consume, Liu Chang chose a plant that had a chili-like shape but had some pretty strange strokes that decorated it. Feng San called it Chili Stun.

Liu Chang directly swallowed him a few bites, he wished this chili had a normal taste, “However it feels, I hope it is not strange ..”
