Ch. 94 – End of Liberation.

Tonight, the residence of Duke Derryl was ravaged and some parts could be said to no longer be worthy of being called a building. Derryl who previously felt he could overcome everything for several years, in the end could only surrender to accept his fate.

Moreover, after seeing his storage vault that was no longer left as if it was lost in the earth, Derryl could only helplessly bow. All the wealth he had accumulated over the years now vanished unceremoniously.

Derryl could only clench his hands hard, he realized all this was created as a result of the assault on his residence by someone mysterious. Derryl could only confirm that after this the guy got the same reply even he wanted worse.

“Dare to destroy me means you too must be destroyed, not even the King will be able to resist the power I have!” Derryl.

Liu Chang darted quickly to the empty house that had been promised to be his meeting place with the Elf tribe. Previously Liu Chang had put Rookie back into the scroll so as not to attract more attention, the current time indicated the dawn would arrive therefore Liu Chang could feel the residents had started to move back.

“That's it ...” Liu Chang could see the baron and Elder Ank had been waiting for him along with five other Elves at the door of the house. They looked happy when they found out Liu Chang had returned safely.

The elder Ank immediately gave some warm clothes, and chocolate milk to warm Liu Chang up. Liu Chang did not reject all that and invited all of them to go inside, and spoke further.

“How are things, Mister?” The baron who had first raised a question right after Liu Chang withdrew his chair.

Liu Chang responded with a faint smile as he sipped his chocolate milk, “All goes smoothly, I make sure the greedy Duke will be destroyed starting from tonight ..”

Hearing the words that came out of Liu Chang's mouth made everything inside this house confused, they did not know for sure what Liu Chang was doing after their departure.

“Why can it be destroyed?” Baron and several of his friends asked the same thing at the same time.

“To put it simply, Derryl will no longer be able to build up his arbitrary power. If all the money and assets you have are taken away by someone and there is nothing left, how will you get up and do the same tomorrow as yesterday?” Liu Chang looked at everyone in the house, some of them staring at each other before then smiling with satisfaction at having gained certainty regarding Derryl.

With this the Elves could breathe a sigh of relief, as all the high-level warriors that Derryl paid to capture them meant that they would no longer be able to operate when they entered the city. If there was no money to pay them, then the warriors would also not move even if their tenants begged and prostrated though.

Elder Ank then asked a few more things related to their slave letter, because as long as the object was still there then their status could be said to be a slave. Suppose that one day they all manage to run away after this, then there will be someone who seeks their existence because that slave letter is very important to them, even though the letter does not benefit them at all.

Liu Chang answered the concerns of Elder Ank and the other Elves, that Derryl's letters and assets in his storage bank had all been cleared up until there was not a shred of it.

Of course this explanation of Liu Chang was unbelievable. But the Baron who had witnessed Liu Chang take out something from the void in front of him understood what Liu Chang was doing.

After the Baron also convinced Elder Ank and some friends, then they believed. With this clarity they can move back as usual to help ease the burden of the tribe when they return later.

“Oh, yes, I heard from Baron you want to come to our residence, is that true?” Elder Ank had just remembered the one thing he had wanted to say since Liu Chang's arrival earlier.

Liu Chang began to realize that all along, his mission of gathering the Seven Keys of magma to seal the mountain was a great task. As long as he was still relying on the abilities of four people including himself, then the jade plains could be said to have placed a bomb that was counted down.

Liu Chang was sure that not everyone would be concerned about their own group or organization, he was sure that there were still some groups that could be invited to work together on this huge unknown matter. Then Liu Chang thought he should start from here.

“Is that? To be honest I have never met anyone who has intentions like you to meet us, but the reason is believable from your attitude all along.” Elder Ank smiled faintly hearing Liu Chang did not have the slightest bit of evil intent.

The baron was happy that Elder Ank had finally agreed to his savior to come to their residence. To be honest he had been pessimistic that Elder Ank would accept a human like Liu Chang to come to their place because of the human treatment all along.

Elder Ank and the others intended to invite Liu Chang to come to their place this morning as well, but Liu Chang rejected the idea because he could not come there without bringing his friend.

Elder Ank could only agree to that, he said he would send some people to guide Liu Chang to their residence later.

“Alright, thank you for all your help and assistance to us. We hope to repay your kindness later in our place.” Elder Ank patted Liu on the shoulder before leaving and darted in a different direction from the city center with Baron and his friends.

After meeting the Baron and his other friends, Liu Chang darted into the city center in search of the inn Chiriyu and the others had rented.

The dawn sun was seen to have emitted its light when Liu Chang arrived at the center of the city, the magnitude of Kota Kinabalu did not make Liu Chang difficult to move to find some inns that were open in the early hours of the morning like this time.

Finally after searching for half an hour, Liu Chang found a five-story building used as a restaurant and inn. From their famous reputation, Liu Chang was no wonder they were still open and receiving guests even in the early hours of the morning like this.

Liu Chang reserved a room on the fifth floor to rest, he decided to postpone his search for Chiriyu and the others. Moving for a full day really makes it necessary to rest the body.
