Ch. 90 – Rescue Plan.

Liu Chang listened quite enthusiastically to the Elf's story, sometimes the story made Liu Chang expression sad, laugh, or just plain to certain parts that were told.

The Elf also seemed enthusiastic to see Liu Chang respond to his story well, in his memory there had never been anyone as good as Liu Chang who would listen to his story all along.

Liu Chang listened to the Elf's story and explanation for several hours, and from that he managed to find out some things related to the elf and also the state of Beigan State.

From his explanation, the Elf said his name was Baron, he was from the Forest Elf tribe who had resided in the Beigan territory for over a thousand years. Their population and territories had previously covered half of Beigan State.

But after a long time, their population is declining due to human hunting that captures the elves to enter the farthest elf settlement, finally until now their number is only two hundred people left.

In addition to the information about the elves, Liu Chang also obtained some information related to the Beigan government, which turned out to be led by a Duke named Derryl.

Derryl had been in charge for the past ten years, and gained his power from his father who died shortly after his appointment as ruler of Beigan.

Derryl famously ruled arbitrarily, imposing high taxes and also imposing a slave system. These slaves were traded at high prices along with the letters that he held himself.

In addition to human slaves, Derryl recently made some interesting offers about Elf slaves to his colleagues, saying his men got the Elves after hunting them in the warm Beigan forest.

Most of his colleagues were quite interested and had Duke Derryl prepare more of the Elf race as they intended to take him to their country, some even said they would join in to capture and hunt the Elves with Derryl's men.

Because of that according to Baron, the last month the Forest Elves continued to move from one forest to another to save themselves, while tribal warriors like himself entered the city to save their friends who were caught by Derryl.

The baron was then assigned to go out with two other friends to rescue one of their tribe's elders.

But the bad news, two of his friends were even caught because they were not careful when making an intrusion at the Derryl residence, finally, the Baron had to live in solitude while continuing to find a way to save the tribe elder and some of his friends.

“I really do not know how the fate of my seniors there and some of my friends as well, if only then we were stronger maybe ..”

The baron felt like crying in front of Liu Chang, but he realized a human like Liu Chang could not possibly help him to save his friend even with his attitude like this.

But unexpectedly, Liu Chang said it would help free Baron's friends and some of the Elves who had been captured by Duke Derryl.

The baron who heard that almost jumped in joy if not Liu Chang could bear to not make too much noise, finally the Baron could only kowtow before Liu Chang as he considered him a savior.

Liu Chang then devised a plan after further hearing about the guard at Duke Derryl's residence, as well as some matters concerning the risks and consequences of carrying out this rescue plan.

From that additional information, Liu Chang learned that the residence of a Duke was guarded by 50 Early Swordsmen, 30 Intermediate Swordsmen and 5 Sakti Swordsmen. While the ordinary servants in the Duke residence were Early Swordsmen who did not exceed level 5.

According to Liu Chang's rough calculations, out of the thousand duke's servants at least who could make it difficult for someone to enter there were 500 people, the rest were only servants who lacked fighting skills better than adult men.

The baron then provided a rough map showing Duke Derryl's residence, saying this was very important considering that after entering the entrance only, one had to wander around for a few minutes to find the Duke's main residence.

Even if delivered by a waiter, if you walk alone then the time needed can be more.

Liu Chang nodded softly a few times after hearing Baron's explanation, after that Liu Chang made a simulation in his head to enter the residence of Duke Derryl with various plans that he expected to be at least successful so that this rescue did not cause unnecessary excitement.

“What if we go through this roof? Looks like there's less guard here, doesn't it?” Liu Chang suddenly pointed at the part of the roof that looked different from the others as the Baron was explaining the other part of the residence.

“Ah, Sir. That ... You seem to like bold things huh ..” The baron smiled awkwardly at the roof that Liu Chang had pointed at, while Liu Chang became perplexed as he felt that the roof he had pointed at was not too strange.

Salazar manages to find Aqua after several searches throughout the city, and Aqua is together with Chiriyu to buy some clothes for them to wear in this cold Beigan climate.

Aqua also said that she had booked two rooms big enough for them to use. Later Chiriyu will sleep together with himself while Salazar along with Liu Chang.

But until now, Aqua had not managed to find the whereabouts of Liu Chang who since a few hours ago had not also returned to the place they had promised, either, he was quite worried that something had happened to Liu Chang.

“We don't need to worry about him, Liu Chang can take care of himself even with his strength this city he can destroy ..” Salazar gave a small smile at Aqua's excessive worry.

“Hm, okay. Come Chiriyu, we return first to the inn, your sister and her boyfriend are indeed maniacs playing at night like this!” Aqua snorted softly before holding Chiriyu's hand towards the inn.

Salazar could only shake his head slowly before following his second step into the inn not far from the center of Kota Kinabalu.

After several turns and into a larger part of the road, Salazar then found a building called the Young Sword Association which was an inn and restaurant.

Salazar was quite surprised actually, as far as the price per night in a place like this was very expensive it even reached a few pieces of silver but given Liu Chang's wealth that could give the three of them dozens of gold pieces at a time, it was very expensive, Salazar immediately put that aside.

“Ah, no need to think about it. Better think about how tomorrow alone ..” Salazar shook his head slowly before entering the five-story building.
