Kaien watched the quiet boy as the boy's eyes showed a hint of warmth as he approached his two friends. Her curiosity arises, she is eager to see what Itsuki looks like because she is hiding her facial features, so she stays behind and waits for Itsuki's photo to be taken. A decision he later regretted.

There was an old-fashioned camera next to where the other recruits were photographed. When Rangiku's turn came, the men were very interested in him as they tried to get closer to him.

As someone approached Rangiku, Gin hurriedly walked in front of him as 'friendly', yet a dangerous smile appeared on his face. The bully noticed a slight crack in Gin's eyes, feeling a killing intent, cold sweat appearing on his back as he gave up on the idea of approaching him with the others.

Unfortunately, one slipped through Gin's defense as he walked towards Rangiku. This time it was Itsuki who stopped him. But he's not as good as Gin, so when intruder number 2 tries to pass him, he stumbles and quickly bends his stomach. The moment the others were occupied by Gin, they suddenly heard a shout and turned towards it.

Their attention was immediately drawn by the man on the floor. One could see that he had fainted from the cold with foam coming out of his mouth. They then saw the reason for his unconsciousness and some people recognized him to be very pale. Knowing that the girl had two terrifying guards, they immediately retreated.

Rangiku just continued on and acted as usual, this was not the first time it happened, and he knew his two friends would protect him. However, he hated this useless feeling. One of the reasons he wants to be a Shinigami is because he wants to fight himself and not rely on either of them until one day he is the one protecting them.

Another reason is, Itsuki. He has made peace with his feelings and knows that if he wants to be by his side then he must become stronger, much stronger.

To him, there had always been fog around Itsuki ever since he knew her. Recalling those eyes and the training he did, he and Gin knew he was hiding something, but both decided to keep quiet about it. If he wanted to tell them then he would tell them. Still for him it wasn't enough, he wanted to break through the fog and he wanted the man to believe it. So that one day they would stand next to each other and fight whatever the world throws at them, for as long as he is by her side, he would be satisfied.

There were still some thoughts that plagued his mind, deep down, he knew that he would not be the only one. Call it a woman's intuition if you will, but with her prospects and future appearance, she definitely has some rivals. He knew that even though he had a good start, no one could say anything about the future, he just had to keep fighting.

Gin notices Rangiku immersed in his thoughts while looking at Itsuki and knows the essence of what he is thinking. She can't help him, but she secretly pushes him.After Rangiku, it's Gin's turn and a few more people take pictures until finally Itsuki's turn.

Kaien remained silent throughout the ordeal and began to look forward to what Itsuki was like. For some reason, others were also curious as to what this 'devil' looked like. As Itsuki sat down, he started taking off his hat to reveal his snow-white hair that was ponytailed high, while a few strands fell on the side of his face. They shuddered when they saw his eyes, not out of fear but out of the indifference that was within them.

Itsuki then moved towards his mask. Time seemed to be running slowly as her face opened, the female recruits were instantly rendered dazed as their faces turned deep red, while an intense aura of depression was released from the men. As soon as his picture was taken, he turned around only to see the reaction of the room, for them it was like seeing an ice sculpture, beautiful from afar but getting closer getting colder. You can only see it from a distance because it is untouched.

As the day went on, more and more recruits came and took pictures. At first, they were confused by the atmosphere but understood when the others told them. So now there are three types of gazes Itsuki made, first one filled with madness, the women who have seen his face (including some men), the envy of the men, and lastly, the women who have seen his face (including some men), curious, this was from the people who came to the room afterwards.

After all the recruits were done, they were finally escorted to Seireitei. As they passed through the north gate, they met with another group of people waiting for them. They were made up of 3 males and 2 females and neither were Shinigami servants, they looked like students.

They wore Shin'o academy uniforms consisting of blue shitagi (inner shirts), white kosode (shirts) with blue stripes and blue hakama (long pants) with white socks and sandals. 

This color scheme is for males, where the female version is replaced by blue with red. An emblem could be seen imprinted on both sides of the outer clothes, probably from the academy. They also have swords tied on their backs, Itsuki does not know if they are asauchi or named zanpakutos.

Asauchi is a zanpakutos who has no name.

After all the recruits were grouped together, he saw Kaien talking to a girl who seemed to be the leader of the student group. They were quite familiar with each other and spoke for quite a while before Kaien handed over some sheets of paper and left with the examiners.

The girl then looked around, introducing herself as Shiba Aiko and taking them to the academy.

The academy was quite far away as it took an hour on foot to reach it. What greeted their view was a large multi-storey building with a roof that jutted out. A three-layer roof can be seen in the middle with the lower floor extending out from both sides. The building was surrounded by a wall about 10 feet high with the school emblem strewn across it. As soon as they passed the gate, they walked into the auditorium where people were already waiting.

Upon entering, Itsuki saw people divided based on where they came from. People in clean clothes with a bit of noble air could be seen from one side, most likely the residents of Seireitei, while the members of Rukongai were on the other. You can tell the difference only by clothes as the former are wearing luxurious and expensive clothes while the latter are wearing tattered and simple ones.

Itsuki's group was the last to arrive because as soon as they entered all the recruits were gathered and a group of teachers came out.
