Preparation and first fight

Itsuki then interrupted and asked,

"You sure?"

"Yes" Gin replied with determination

Before Gin could continue, he was interrupted by Rangiku

"Then I'll be one too"

This time it was Gin's turn to be surprised,

"Me too" Itsuki added.

A shocked expression was seen on Gin's face hearing his friend's statement as he sighed in defeat.

On the way home he told his friends,

"The test entered the Shinigami academy within a week and was held in District 1. We have to gather some supplies for the trip and leave tomorrow."

The two friends only nodded in response when they got home and fell asleep.

the next day - the next day

The three of them got up early to begin their journey preparations. Itsuki goes to a nearby town to get some more Kan while Rangiku goes to collect food and water for their trip. Gin was assigned to get some kind of transport. Because the journey is quite far, according to Gin, it will take at least a month if they want to walk there. Looking at their young bodies and short legs, it might take longer.

They all meet during the day with Itsuki pocketing around 3000 Kan which is about 3000 Japanese yen.

Rangiku was seen holding a backpack containing stale bread, several boxes of rice, and three small containers filled with water. It also contains a change of clothes for each and several other needs. This was all he could gather in a short period of time, but food and water were enough. Their bodies are young and because they have reiatsu, they only often eat small portions. What Rangiku packed was enough to last for a few days.

Gin was lucky to find the caravan that was heading to the first district. It seems that some traders see the entrance exam as an opportunity to make a profit when they start making caravans for people who want to take the exam. There is no age limit in submitting an application as it is quite open, this means that almost anyone can sign up. Because of this, these caravans were mostly already full by the time they arrived at the first district.

When they reached the area where the caravan was located, what greeted their view was a long line of caravans and 100s of people camped around them. Itsuki could only see about 500 people but that was not the limit. They are still in the outer part of Rukongai, so they hope more will come soon. You can tell who came from which district just by looking at their clothes with people from the higher numbered districts wearing worn clothes with patches of cloth here and there to cover up orifices.

Now, with this many people there must be a lot of shady characters here. This can be seen with occasional fights here and there for the smallest reason. Another prime example is the three potatoes that are currently blocking Rangiku and Itsuki's path when Gin goes to pay the caravan's fee, leaving the two alone. The three bald heads greeted their gazes, completely covering them with their shadows as they loomed over them. They wore dirty vests and simple cotton pants. Itsuki believes they are brothers because their facial features are similar. Not knowing their names, Itsuki only calls them Ichi, Ni and San with Ichi looking the oldest and San looking the youngest.

They were obviously interested in Rangiku because they completely ignored Itsuki's presence. It's not her fault because Rangiku is so beautiful and she pretty much covers her face. A sinister bamboo hat lay on top of his head while he wore a red mask that covered his mouth and nose.

Even though he had a cheat, he was still very weak since he had just learned how to control his mystic eyes. This also resulted in him keeping a distance from strangers and including the heinous acts he sometimes witnessed, he slowly lost faith in people. Understanding once again that he was not in a peaceful society increased the chill on his face as he slowly developed an unapproachable aura.

When Rangiku looked up, he saw their lustful eyes sitting on their pig-like noses while disgusting grins plastered on their faces. As they judged him, fear and disgust immediately filled Rangiku's eyes as he slowly retreated to hide behind Itsuki. It was only then that they realized Itsuki's presence, yet, despite her unapproachable aura, she looked nothing special.

As their attention once again turned to Rangiku, the person leading them, Ichi opened his mouth as a foul smell came out and a set of yellow teeth were seen.

"Hey, ojou-chan, want to have fun"

As the two behind him quietly giggled, he continued

"I'm pretty sure we'll give you a better company than this stick here"

Itsuki was all wrapped up as he wore loose clothing, giving the impression to others that he was just a malnourished youngster. Sensing Rangiku trembling behind his back, Itsuki was secretly furious when he heard what the man said. As his anger grew, his mind became clearer as his memory partition and thought acceleration began to search for a way to defeat the three men in front of him.

He looked around, realizing that it was only the three of them and they had no backup, Itsuki lunged at Ichi when he was closest, sending his hat flying backwards revealing his silky white hair that was ponytailed high. A right hook approached his opponent's face very quickly as Ichi dodged the pure reflex. You can see that this was Itsuki's first fight because he chose to hit his face rather than his chest which could increase his chances of hitting.

Seeing Itsuki punching his brother, Ni directly punches Itsuki in the face as San begins to capture Rangiku. Realizing his mistake, Itsuki tried to retreat, but it was too late when the punch landed on him. This instantly shattered the trust Itsuki had built up during training as his mind went awry. After calming down quickly, she noticed San's movements as she began to panic.

Pushing his mental abilities to the maximum, he thought of a new strategy in defeating the three while also calculating the possible ways they retaliated. As Ichi slowly wakes up, angered by the fact that a child caused him to fall, Itsuki quickly gets up and this time runs towards the unsuspecting San. It only took a split second to create dozens of strategies's as he slowly got used to using his mental abilities in the middle of battle.

He coats his fists with reiatsu, a small trick he learned while practicing, and instantly appears next to San as he once again strikes the head but this time lands his punch. Thinking that his second brother had taken care of the child, San would never have expected to be hit from behind as he felt a sharp pain and instantly fell unconscious. Ni was still standing there, mouth wide open trying to figure out how a child survived his blow and came out unscathed. He only returned from his thoughts when he saw the boy running towards him after dealing with his brother. This time instead of punching the boy, Ni went to catch him, but after estimating this move, Itsuki instantly dodged and landed a powerful punch on Ni's stomach that instantly knocked him unconscious.

Finally, Ichi woke up, Ichi,

"Damn, bra ..."

Ichi instantly remained silent as his blood flowed cold. He saw both of his brothers faint and the so-called brat was looking at him with an incredible coldness. Ichi could swear that he had never felt this much fear in his life because he had not seen any emotion in those blue eyes at all. As he opened his mouth to beg for mercy, Itsuki disappeared from his sight and reappeared with her outstretched legs sliding towards him. Before Ichi's pitiful brain could process this, waves of pain that suddenly scattered his mind as heart-wrenching screams rang out from his mouth. Mr. Ichi has become Miss Ichi, if she is married then Madam Ichi, it doesn't matter now.

Attracted by the sudden scream of pain, many people turned their heads only to once again throw their faces away seeing the small bloodstains between Ichi's legs slowly widening. Those people horrifiedly glanced at Itsuki's back which was walking back to Rangiku. As they involuntarily sighed in relief, Itsuki suddenly looked back, all the men involuntarily clenched their feet as they felt a cold wind pass by. At that moment, only one thought came to their mind

'Devil!'

Seeing Itsuki once again turn around and leave the area with Rangiku, they heaved another sigh of relief and went back to what they were doing, glancing towards the direction Itsuki had left behind.
