Division 1 Headquarters, Training Ground

Itsuki is currently contemplating his sword in order to deepen his bond with his zanpakutos and figure out a way to reach Bankai, which proves futile.

 It had been 5 months since that spar and his graduation day was close. Yesterday was his last 'beating' with Yamamoto. Itsuki then remembered what happened two months ago where he was asked the question he expected.

"So son, your eyes have the ability, don't they"

Itsuki was not surprised by this question because he had been expecting this question for quite some time. Every time he practiced his eye skills, certain evidence would be left behind which, Itsuki, knew, would not escape the eyes of his teacher.

"You're long enough, sensei"

This caused a twitch in the captain's eyebrows as he enjoyed that casual speech. Itsuki at first had great respect for what he was doing, but it casually turned into what it is now.

Although he acted with respect, his eyes did not show it because he was now looking at him like he was just an old man. This could not be blamed on Itsuki since the man was not like the captain commander the entire time.

His old features were seen here and there as he randomly took a nap while they were practicing. Especially in Shunpo's training, where he let Chojiro do a throw as he fell asleep elsewhere.

By the time they were together, he would start raving about the beautiful past. It shows Itsuki, to not believe anything depicted by anime or manga, aside from the assertive captain commander, he is still an old man.

 In fact, to everyone he was a resolute captain commander but to the people closer to him, he was like a grandfather teaching little children how to walk. Whenever they argue, he says

"Let's start this beating" or he'll go to a local hot spring, scaring away the living sunlight of the ordinary Shinigami who are also there.

Returning to the topic in Itsuki's hands looked at the old man while activating his eyes. Although he was surprised, Yamamoto had no change in expression.

 He was quite familiar with the concept of death, so he felt it again was nothing new. Chojiro, who was beside him, was stunned to see the change in Itsuki's eyes. He never knew that Itsuki had this kind of ability but his reaction seemed to be the same as Yamamoto but with a hint of vigilance.

"I felt a strange reiatsu come out of your eyes, I was initially suspicious but seeing you training with them when they activated, confused me."

Seeing those crystal-clear eyes gave Yamamoto the thought that death was beautiful. This was not the first time he had felt this, but it still amazed him at this feeling.

 Chojiro looked at his captain with more respect because he himself could not see the difference. Itsuki then asks for a kitchen knife and a piece of sekkiseki stone that resuscitates them both.

 Chojiro goes to retrieve it while Itsuki keeps his eyes activated. He never really wanted to hide it but thought that it would be better kept as a trump card.

Chojiro returned with the required materials before handing them over to Itsuki. Returning to his position behind Yamamoto, he saw Itsuki showing his eye ability.

The stone given to Itsuki was quite large, with a relatively large bowl size. He held the piece of stone and cut it like a hot knife through butter. After being cut Itsuki dropped the rock that was cut as it shattered into dust upon landing.

"It's smashed to pieces!"

Chojiro muttered in surprise as he looked at the position where the stone landed. Yamamoto was also surprised as both of his eyes were open. What really surprised the two was that they felt nothing from Itsuki. 

There was no Reiatsu, there was not the slightest bit of tension or even tension in his expression. An ordinary kitchen knife was able to cut through the material that protected Seireitei from all sides and his expression was calm and unperturbed as if painting on canvas throughout the entire process.

"To correct you, it's dead"

"This is my eye, I see the death of something, not just a living thing, if I believe that something can be killed, I will see lines on certain objects. Tracing those lines I can end his 'life', bring him death"

Silence shortly after the two took time to digest the information. It was too surprising that this kind of ability existed. Yamamoto let out his thoughts first and looked at Itsuki deeply. He knew what danger this ability possessed and knew, if used for the wrong intentions, it could lead to the soul destruction of society itself.

Chojiro also thought the same thing when he also saw Itsuki. For a moment, Yamamoto thought of killing him but held back as he recalled his student and his personality.

Although he had an unapproachable aura around him, he had a caring heart. The three months he spent with her allowed the old monster to know Itsuki's thoughts.

He wanted to protect the people closest to him, and whenever he was with his friends, a warm gaze would appear.He hated the crowd and preferred to do things alone. Also, it seemed like the old man had a soft spot for this student as a stern expression was plastered on his face.

"Itsuki, Chojiro, whatever happens in this room, stays in this room. This is very confidential information, and no one knows."

Itsuki also smiled as she looked at her master, with a warm feeling flowing in her heart.

Seeing the two people smiling, an annoyed expression appeared on Yamamoto's face as he stated,

"It seems I've been unemployed for a long time. Chojiro, Itsuki, you've got yourself beaten up."

The smiling faces of the two instantly shattered as Yamamoto's voice sounded

"Everything in this world, turned to ashes, Ryujin Jakka"

"Aaaagggghhh"

"Aaaagggghhh"

Two miserable screams sounded as the soul community once again sensed the reiatsu of their captain commander.

Since then another training regime was added to Itsuki's already hell-like training. It killed and increased his eye mastery.

Yamamoto had several prisoners sentenced to life sentences taken to the training room as he ignored them.

A prisoner knelt before him as Itsuki grasping the sword looked into the begging prisoner's eyes. It was a white bule man whose hands were handcuffed with a sekkiseki stone. His hands trembled, Itsuki never activated his eyes as he thrust the sword into the heart of the prisoner. Itsuki kept staring at the eyes of the prisoner who lost his light. 

Yamamoto watched it open expressionlessly, observing the reaction of his student. There was no change on his face but it could not be said for his conflicted eyes.

 Her wet emotions worked wonders when she felt normal after taking a life, it was too easy. The ideology of his past life is completely shattered knowing that this is not a place for mercy.

This was the first time she had taken on a life other than a Hollow, but she felt there was nothing different.

Calming his emotions, he just stood there staring at the corpse in front of him. He felt lucky to have dampened his emotions because he knew if those emotions were not there, he would vomit everywhere.

Yamamoto stood there shocked by the small emotion at Itsuki's first murder but brushed it off, linking it to his eyes. This is a kind of rite of passage for Itsuki. After this, the prisoners will not be bound and Itsuki will have a real life and death battle in his spar place with Yamamoto.

 Yamamoto never intervened because Itsuki piled up more number of murders. He did not want to raise a greenhorn, but a true warrior.

A week passed as Itsuki got more used to killing before he started using his eyes. At first, he found it harder to reach the death line but about a day later he could hit it no matter what. What also surprised Itsuki was the appearance of two spots on the prisoners. 

He sees them in Yamamoto and Chojiro but never thinks too deeply about them.

Now seeing them become common, Itsuki comes to the conclusion that they are Saketsu (Fate Chain) Shinigami and Hakusui (Sleeping Soul).

 Both are important parts of the Shinigami, with the former being a kind of reiatsu drive and the latter being the source. Sealing these two points could make the Shinigami lose its power. 

Looking at the two points Itsuki could feel if he attacked there, a Shinigami would lose its power permanently.

Testing his theory, Itsuki hit his opponent's two points causing him to fall. 

Yamamoto, who was watching, was surprised by the change as he felt the prisoner's reiatsu dwindle. Arriving next to him he felt the reiatsu return to a level similar to a normal soul. Looking carefully, he saw Saketsu and Hakusui of the prisoner were absent. Sighing, he turned to Itsuki who stared back at him before leaving the surroundings.

Seeing Itsuki finish off the prisoner, he once again admired the ability that Itsuki's eyes had.

Itsuki stopped reminiscing as she sensed a Shinigami approaching her to let her know that her graduation exam was tomorrow. There are other students who take him and Itsuki concludes that it is Gin.

Seeing the Shinigami's departure, Itsuki surpassed his abilities he had achieved during his time in the academy.

He had reached the level of an expert in the four Shinigami techniques with Shunpo and Zanjutsu reaching the border between experts and masters. He has reached the fifth partition and can speed up his mind four times, reaching this level during his training with Yamamoto. He could now see the point and line of death with his mystic eyes and use them proficiently in battle.
