The real world -

- Karakura Town -

A mother and son were walking on a path near the riverbank. They both held hands while sheltering from the rain under one umbrella.

 The boy had a joyful smile plastered on his face as his brown eyes radiated happiness. She has one distinguishing feature, her unnatural spiky orange hair.

 He held a closed umbrella in his other hand while he wore a yellow raincoat. This boy is Kurosaki Ichigo. The mother is an old version of Masaki who has long wavy hair tied into a ponytail. 

Motherly love filled his eyes as he looked at his little treasure As Ichigo was walking, he saw a young girl about to jump into the river.

"Hey, that kid ..."

Seeing the girl who was about to jump in Ichigo rushed out, the,

"Wait a minute!"

Masaki is surprised to see Ichigo running out,

"Ichigo?"

Looking towards the girl, Masaki was surprised, it was a hole. Ichigo is young and can't tell the difference between a true girl and a soul, he doesn't even know what a hollow is.

"No! Ichigo!"

Ichigo reached out his hand trying to catch the girl but his hand did not touch anything, and he fell forward. Seeing the hole that was about to strike Ichigo, he jumped in front of him, willing to take the blow.

 Masaki tried to summon his blute but failed to do so, he had lost his Quincy powers.

Hugging Ichigo, she protects him from the attack, but the expected attack never comes. Slowly turning around, he saw a katana coming out from the hollow torso.

The hole slowly disappeared as a young man appeared behind him. He was wearing a tattered Shinigami outfit, with rips here and there.

 He lost one shoe and the rest of the white jacket was behind him. Her pitiful appearance did not detract from her beauty. Just as she was about to subconsciously compare her to her husband, she fainted.

 It seems that the recent stress took its toll as the burden of losing its power came flooding in Ichigo, in front of the very conscious, as he saw a man with white hair and tattered clothes lifting him and his mother.

Taking the two, he arrived in front of a clinic and rang the doorbell. 

A man she knew opened the door as her eyes widened in shock. Isshin has grown a bit of a beard since she lost her Shinigami powers. He was waiting for his wife to come home after he felt the reiatsu grand fisher. He knew he could protect himself, but time passed when he began to feel uneasy.

He waited and waited as the doorbell rang. At first, he thought it was Masaki, but he should have the key, so maybe it wasn't him. After calming down, he went to open the door. What he saw would forever be etched into his memory as it would be the cause of many nightmares to come.

The floating Masaki and Ichigo are first seen, seemingly unconscious.

"What-what?!"

He jumped back in shock which created enough space for Itsuki to enter and lay the two on the sofa.

As he put it down, Isshin's voice sounded

"Is that you, Itsuki?"

Itsuki never spoke because he knew Isshin would not be able to hear him.

"I have to say thank you"

Itsuki just got up and left. He had no reason to be here and had to return to Soul Society immediately. He still has one more place.

In the barren warehouse district, Itsuki sees a cat lazing around. It seemed to be unconcerned in the world and looked like an ordinary cat.

Sneaking behind him, Itsuki suddenly hugged him and started patting his head. The cat was initially surprised but then seemed to melt with itsuki's touch,

'How many years ...'

This thought flashed through Yoruichi's head as he felt Itsuki's touch. He missed this touch, even craved it. Itsuki's seated placed him on his p as he transformed into his human form. Sitting there Itsuki only said one word,

"Why?"

One word but so much meaning. Yoruichi felt his heart tremble after hearing this as he simply closed his eyes and leaned back. 

It was not that he did not choose to answer, but because he could not. He had wronged two of the most important people in his life that day. Itsuki hugged her and buried her face into her neck, both of them staying in that position

. They have no idea how long time has passed until Yoruichi moves Itsuki's head and pulls her into a kiss. It was okay at first, but Itsuki started avoiding him,

"No Yoruichi, no, you can't just kiss me and..."

This was the first time Yoruichi had seen Itsuki show this much emotion. Itsuki wanted to continue but when she saw her tears, she suddenly felt something clog her throat.

 He couldn't get the right words out; he hated the eyes Yoruichi had.

This time Itsuki leaned in for a kiss, it was not a passionate kiss but a light one. That one kiss seemed to have forgotten the past and the most important thing was the present. 

They only enjoyed being with each other that night as they both discussed their experiences.

In the morning Itsuki leaves amid silent protests and Yoruichi's kiss. He reluctantly leaves the disgruntled cat as he stabs his zanpakuto in the air and opens the senkaimon.

 Later in the day, Urahara was quite surprised to see Yoruichi in such a joyous mood.

Returning to Kurosaki's clinic, Isshin is shocked to learn that Masaki has lost his powers. He felt lucky that someone had saved him otherwise, he never knew what would happen if he lost him.

"So, who saved you?"

A dreamy look in Masaki's eyes as he spoke,

"So, he's so handsome."

Isshin's face shattered as she knew exactly who she was talking about. Returning to Soul Society, she never knew the pain a married man faced, but she now experienced it firsthand.

the Soul Society -

The kido guard was surprised to see senkaimon open. There were no reports of anyone entering soul society that day, so this was completely unexpected from them.

Preparing for any invasion, a report was sent to Yamamoto and the 12th Division. What made the situation worse was that the division had no reports of anyone inside Dangai. This increases the likelihood of invasion.

When Senkaimon opened, nothing came out. Suddenly, a large number of Reiatsu suppressed the entire Seireitei. All the captains felt the pressure as they hurriedly headed towards the main Senkaimon.

 A total of 12 captains appeared with their lieutenants with Soi Fon being the only lieutenant without their captain. Aizen has someone unknown as his lieutenant because he cannot get Hinamori.

They were all preparing for battle when they saw Seikyo landing on the shoulder of the outgoing figure.

Rangiku and Soi Fon were shocked before hope appeared in their eyes,

'Please, let it be him ...'

Shunsui, Ukitake, Unohana and Byakuya also had hope in their eyes while Yamamoto slightly opened his eyes in anticipation.

The figure then stepped out and they could all see the tattered clothes he was wearing. He had crooked eyebrows seeing the entourage waiting for him at his entrance, then, as if realizing something, he stuffed his Reiatsu so that it was completely invisible to others. If they don't see him, they won't realize he's there.

Before anyone could react, Itsuki and Yamamoto nodded at each other and disappeared from their location. Rangiku and Soi Fon could not believe their eyes as they stood in their place. Toshiro, the current captain of the 10th Division, realized this and left Rangiku alone. 

Aizen, Gin and Tosen did not change their expressions as they left. Shunsui, Ukitake, Unohana and Byakuya make their way to the 2nd Division headquarters to meet Itsuki there, their lieutenants following them.

 Only Soi Fon and Rangiku were left looking at each other. Seeing the excitement in each other's eyes, they knew that they were not dreaming as the two also walked into the 2nd Division.

Landing at the headquarters of the 1st division, Itsuki then made his report.

"It's hard enough to believe you fought all this time and you ended up in Hueco Mundo."

Itsuki nodded while Yamamoto felt that Itsuki was hiding something, he just brushed it off. He knew his student the best and knew that he would think of the best interests of the soul community.

 Knowing that he has friends waiting for him, he fires him. After that was a heartwarming reunion with the four captains. Shunsui's tears streamed down his face while Ukitake put on his usual smiling face.

 Unohana has just come to tell Itsuki about their next sparring session and that she is finally back. The three left while Byakuya remained behind.

Of them all, he was the closest to Itsuki. It seems that Byakuya has changed the most since it has returned to itself from the anime.

"…Visit us in the near future, Hisana will be happy to meet you."

With this Byakuya is left and Itsuki is the only one left. The door to the main hall opened as two figures entered.

Itsuki could see the dried up tears in their eyes as the two of them leaped towards him.

 He allowed himself to be pushed down so as not to injure the two. Both of them rubbed their faces on her tattered clothes as they had missed her for so many years. 

The three had remained that way for quite some time before, surprisingly, Soi Fon made the first move. She looked up with a determined red face as she leaned over for a kiss. Rangiku saw this, a sullen leta appeared on her pretty face, she said,

"It's not fair Soi Fon..."

Grabbing Itsuki's head, Rangiku also bowed to kiss. Itsuki was surprised by the initiative the two took. It seemed that their relationship was getting closer to his absence. Itsuki was not wrong as they only had each other when he disappeared.

Finishing his kiss, a slap landed on his right cheek while Rangiku slapped his left cheek.

The two shed tears as they spoke together,

""Don't do that again!""

When he disappeared, it hurt them the most. It was as if they had lost a part of their souls. Itsuki was still confused by what happened, first he was kissed and next he was slapped. But when he saw the tears in their eyes, he just hugged them, he hated those tears so much.

The news of Itsuki's return sent another shockwave throughout Seireitei. Onmitsukido, who is slowly losing hope, seems to have been revived as they begin completing mission after mission with a one hundred percent completion rate.The 46 centers learned of this and with Yamamoto sending a report, the, they ignore the questions they are preparing for.

Soi Fon, Rangiku, and Itsuki started spending more time together as satisfied smiles continued to appear on her face. Seeing my irritated Rang as he asked,

"What's with that look?

"

"I was the first of Itsuki."

A happy smile appeared on his face as he said those words. Itsuki was dumbfounded before he decided to explain,

"Actually, you don't ..."

Soi Fon turned into stone while Rangiku was also shocked,

"Then who's who"

Only one girl flashed through their minds as the two looked at each other,

"Is that him?"

Itsuki nodded while Soi Fon asked further,

"How far?"

Itsuki started to feel cold as he told the truth,

"All the way."

Both of them were shocked by what Itsuki had just said. The two of them looked at each other and knew exactly what the other party was thinking.

Jumping, they yell

"Stone paper scissors"

Soi Fon throws stones while Rangiku throws papers. Soi Fon looked sad as Rangiku cheered. They didn't take any chances with Itsuki because they didn't want such a thing to happen again. 

Now, knowing their rivals is a huge leap ahead of them, they become competitive. Itsuki was just watching with a smile, this was something that the two girls deserved, and it was not like he lost.
