Shunsui was seen standing in a place that looked like a large hall. An old man sat there, in front of the table, listening to his report.
He had a bald head and eyebrows as well as a very long beard. Two scars crossed over his red right eye. He wore a standard captain Shinigami uniform with the number 1 written on the back.
These are the current captains of the Gotei 13, Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni.
Next to him was his lieutenant, Sasakibe Chojiro. Chojiro has less golden eye pupils and short silver hair with brown skin. He was wearing a standard Shinigami uniform with a white cloak draped over.
"That's it, old man" finished Shunsui,
Yamamoto is seen closing his eyes in contemplation as Chojiro next to him remains silent and lets his captain think. After taking some time to reflect, Yamamoto fired Shunsui, who left leaving the two members of the 1st division alone.
"What do you think, Chojiro"
"I think someone is behind this, Eijisai-dono"
Yamamoto opened his eyes before asking another question,
"What about the boy?"
"which boy"
"Minamoto Itsuki"
"I think he has potential. It was because of his reiats explosion that we were able to see something wrong, plus, he had a very rare double zanpakuto. Besides Kyoraku-dono and Ukitake-dono he is the third person to have it. double zanpakuto"
Hearing his reply, Yamamoto once again sank into contemplation as he hinted Chojiro to leave. Seeing Chojiro leave, he leaned back into his chair, his mind unknown.
It has been a week since Itsuki woke up and is currently leaving the hospital. After finding out that he had been unconscious for a few days, Itsuki wanted to return to training as soon as possible.
With his recent experience, Itsuki realized that he was still weak in this world. All the training he did and the cheat he had, increased his collapsed ego with the final fight.
There are many people who are currently stronger than him and will exist in the future. Realizing this, he decided to immediately return to training and try to learn how to control his Shikai and many other forms.
Arriving at the training ground, Itsuki immediately begins to work controlling his captain-class reiatsu. He did not see the two shadows watching him from the periphery as he continued to familiarize himself with his new strength.
First, he tried to narrow down the reiatsu leak. Summoning his reiats, he discovered that his reiats had changed color to a mixture of blue and gray and had their own properties. A while later, Itsuki finished her training and wiped off her sweat. Seeing a few figures entering his peripheral vision, he immediately entered a quick draw position with his two swords. Awakening his zanpakuto had brought about a change to the sword's look.
The Byakko has a black handle and sheath. It had a square hand protector with a golden sakura tree design imprinted on it.
Ryurai has a white handle and sheath, where the sheath has golden markings that appear when light is reflected on it. It had a black circular hand protector with a golden circular dragon imprinted on it.
With his previous training, he realized that his zanpakutos each came with a trick up their sleeves.
Byakko, no matter how hard you swing it, you cannot hear the sword being pulled or swung.
The sound that came with the sword that cut through the air was nonexistent. Only when the sword collided with an object would something be heard.
Ryurai had a mirror-like object in its handle, where, after being impregnated with reiatsu, there would be a flash of light, blinding the other party.
As Itsuki looked better, he immediately gasped as his eyes widened. The two people in front are the 1st division captain and the Gotei 13 captain commander, Yamamoto Genryusai and his lieutenant Sasakibe Chojiro. "Student Minamoto Itsuki greets Captain Commander"
A look of agreement flashed across Yamamoto's eyes as he looked at Itsuki. Yamamoto is a man who follows the rules and laws of the soul community right up to the letter. His loyalty speaks for itself because he is willing to sacrifice anything, even himself, for the soul community.
Yamamoto opened one eye and the other closed as he observed Itsuki before speaking,
"Minamoto Itsuki, Stand up"
Yamamoto once again stared at Itsuki's poker face before asking,
"Will you be my disciple?"
Another shock wave passed Itsuki hearing this revelation as he stood up. He never expected to be asked to become the captain's own commander disciple. The monster in front of him easily lived for over 2,000 years and was the most respected among Shinigami.
He was the one who founded the academy and was one of the founders of the Gotei 13, playing a major role in bringing it to what it is today. Aside from being shocked, Itsuki was delighted to instantly bend 90 degrees and accept it.
"It will be my honor, Sensei"
Glad that Itsuki has accepted, Yamamoto continued,
"You will be my third disciple besides Shunsui and Jushiro. I heard you applied for early graduation at the end of this year. I'll teach you until then, and you can decide where you want to join."
Yamamoto went on with what he should and should not do before he fired Itsuki. Seeing the boy leave Chojiro, who never spoke a word finally spoke,
"I thought you wanted to make him your replacement"
"He doesn't need to know, plus, these six months I'll see if his character fits in and if he has what it takes."
Finishing his words, he left with Chojiro following after.
