Itsuki was currently in his captain's clothes sitting on his desk. He was wearing a standard captain's outfit with a black ribbon tied around his arm. He wears an ordinary shihakuso but instead of wearing straw sandals he wears a pair of thin if-tabi.
Seikyo perched on a stand beside her, cleaning her fur. He looked up vigilantly when he saw someone enter.
He was checking some documents when he had a visitor. It saw a relatively young captain in front of him. He has five shavings on his head with three on top and two on the side. His captain Haori has the number six on the back and wears a pair of fingerless white tekko.
"Unexpected visitor"
Itsuki just stared at Byakuya with an expression
'What do you want? Can't you see I'm busy '
Byakuya sighed when he saw this, Itsuki had not changed and was still a man who did not say much.
Byakuya was very thin as he had not slept for the past few days. His wife's health continued to deteriorate, and he was unable to find anything to help.
Finally asked Yamamoto he was brought here. He was unable to find a cure and no doctor could help the woman. Yamamoto said that Itsuki might be able to help but he was not very hopeful. Turning to his friends he bowed,
"Please, can you help ..."
Byakuya is a complex, deeply apathetic character who borders on arrogance and looks down on his enemies but will ask for help when needed.
Like, when he asks for help from Ichigo during the blood war to protect Soul Society, while knowing he is a human and should not be included in the affairs of Soul Society. It seemed like he didn't care about others, but he actually cared about the people closest to him. For example, she prevents Rukia from becoming a sitting officer to stop her form from harming herself.
Half a bow he suddenly stopped. A katana was in front of his eyes, if he moved any further, it would pierce him. Looking up, he saw Itsuki looking down with an angry look in his eyes.
Itsuki was initially surprised to see Byakuya bowing but was immediately suppressed by anger.
Over the years, Byakuya and he would argue every day and competition/friendship was created.
He was offended by how Byakuya acted like a stranger in front of him.
Knowing Itsuki's thoughts, Byakuya simply smiled and went towards Kuchiki's residence as he returned to his apathetic look while Itsuki followed behind.
Many women's dreams will come true if they are seen together, but with their speed, they are largely unknown until they reach the Kuchiki manor.
Unohana looked up and passed Byakuya as she gave her maternal smile.
"It's been a long time, Itsuki-san"
Itsuki only nodded while Byakuya questioned Unohana,
"Hisana, he..."
Unohana only shook her head before Byakuya could finish. After knowing the answer, he retreated and looked towards Itsuki. He was his last hope but Byakuya never had much faith.
Itsuki was just staring at Unohana, she was a scary woman. He remembered when they first met after he became captain.
- Flashback -
They had just left the captain's meeting room when Unohana came towards him. They are still at Division 1 headquarters so there are no other Shinigami around.
"So Itsuki-san, how are you as a captain?"
"Good"
"This must be Seikyo, he's a funny bird"
Seikyo who was on Itsuki's shoulder was patted on his head as he complied by rubbing his head on Unohana's arm.
"Sofufu"
Laughing, he picked up Seikyo and handed it to Ukitake who was also there. Itsuki was perplexed by his actions as he looked towards her.
"Follow me"
Leaving behind these words, he walked towards the training ground where Yamamoto trained Itsuki. The other captain decided to follow what happened. Right now, only Itsuki has become the new captain so Aizen is not here and Kenpachi who is now still the same as Zaraki has not come so he is not here either.
There are only them, Ginrei, Shunsui and Ukitake.
Unohana turned her back on Itsuki while the others stood some distance away. Suddenly, a terrifying reiatsu filled with fighting lust came out from Unohana. He tied her up escaping his restraint as she turned around revealing a scar on her neck.
A gloomy expression was in his eyes while a menacing smile plastered on his face. He slowly unsheathed his sword which showed Itsuki to do the same. Ever since he first met Itsuki, he had felt something similar to him.
The feeling of an assassin, someone surrounded by death, arouses his lust for war. Every time he looked at her, he just wanted to draw his sword and pierce through it.
Shunsui and the others were not surprised by the sudden change.
"The first Kenpachi really lives up to its name"
Shunsui watched as Itsuki took the position.
"Hm"
Taking a closer look, he could see a slight smile on his face and an unadulterated pure battle lust gushing out from his eyes.
After the two disappeared, the battle went on very quickly, and ended in a short period of time. Although Unohana had reached a high level in swordsmanship, she had lost interest in battle and Itsuki had reignited that spirit.
Itsuki had defeated him at pure speed. The others did not even see him move and only saw Unohana react with pure instinct to defend against his sword. But in the end, he was defeated.
Itsuki and Unohana face each other with Itsuki standing and Unohana kneeling with her sword thrust onto the ground,
"I've been defeated, I'm injured, but Itsuki, you are the first one to make me feel desperate"
Waking up, he walked away without turning around. There was a slight limp in his path which showed that he was injured and was currently using the healing kido to patch it up.
From then on, at least once a week, Unohana would arrange a fight with Itsuki. Itsuki also obeyed him because this was not a normal spar, Unohana came with the intention to do serious damage so Itsuki would always be on the edge when fighting against him.
There were times when he refused to come, such as if there was an emergency and he was needed to help in the hospital, he would not fight on that day. On the other hand, Itsuki will come to the hospital and learn some medical knowledge for emergency first aid.
Returning to the present, Unohana left while glancing at Itsuki. Byakuya had never seen this as he hurriedly opened the door. It was an empty room with one futon in the middle. A petite and sickly woman lay on top of him as the sunset shone upon the room.
She had delicate facial features that exuded kindness and pale white skin.
Short black hair fell onto his shoulders with strands falling between his purplish blue eyes. Hearing someone sitting next to him, he turned around and a happy smile appeared on his face,
"Byakuya-Sama, you're back"
Trying to sit down, he was gently pushed down by Byakuya.
"Don't get up, you gotta rest"
A gentle gaze replaced Byakuya's eyes as he looked at his wife.
"Sorry Byakuya-Sama, I've been troubling you"
Looking outside he continued,
"It looks like I won't be able to look for her anymore"
Hearing this Byakuya answered
"You don't have to look for it, I'll have people look for it, you just take a break"
Hisana just smiled looking at her husband's worries before looking back.
"Looks like a guest"
Itsuki walked forward and sat next to Hisana,
"It's been a long time Hisana"
"It's true, Itsuki-Sama"
Seikyo who was still in the sky flew down and landed next to Hisana. Turning around, a childish squeak escaped him as he hugged Seikyo,
"Seikyo-chaan"
"Kyu~"
Seikyo did not oppose her and returned her embrace by rubbing her face. While this was happening, Byakuya turned to Itsuki. Itsuki is concentrating on Hisana's body looking for the root of her illness.
Byakuya saw a sudden light in Itsuki's eyes and felt a tremor in his spine. Cold sweat flowed on his skin involuntarily as he looked into those eyes.
Itsuki had activated his mystic eyes as he analyzed Hisana. Astonishment filled his eyes as he saw many death lines littering his body. It shows that Hisana is about to die and given back to the anime, it will be early spring.
Looking out, the first seed yet to bloom indicates that there is still time. Turning towards Byakuya, he asked,
"Yakuya, do you believe me?"
Byakuya nodded while looking back at Itsuki. Calling Seikyo, he ordered, he ordered,
"Seikyo, bring Unohana here"
Hearing this Hisana released Seikyo as she flew towards the departing captain. Hisana had heard Itsuki speak and before she had time to ask, Itsuki spoke to him, and,
"Hisana, do you believe me?"
Hisana also nodded. She knows that Itsuki is her husband's only friend and she treats him like her sister. Back when they first decided to get married, they faced a lot of opposition, especially within the family.
He was a descendant of nobility and the current head of one of the four great noble families while he was from the subsequent Rukongai district. Their status did not match at all, it was like comparing an ordinary stone with a precious gem.
Itsuki, however, was someone who did not care about this and had supported him back then. Technically, Itsuki also comes from the more distant Rukongai district so he feels more comfortable with her, before he knows that she is a captain. She first meets Itsuki when they compete and is one of the few women who is immune to her charms.
Byakuya had introduced her to him and that was when Itsuki's playful nature appeared. He didn't tell me his identity.
This somehow helped him because not many people knew that Itsuki would come and argue with Byakuya once in a while. So, she had to see a lot of things happen to her, death threats, food shortages and negligence in taking care of her.
All Itsuki did was send Seikyo to accompany her and it somehow sent a message to them, so she experienced less bullying. Seikyo is also a smart bird because whenever a waiter comes to do an errand for him, he will just glare at them, making sure he gets the right and proper food.
Itsuki found it amusing to see her expression on their wedding day when she officially introduced herself. Hisana is also surprised that the famous Raijuu is Itsuki.
Soon after, Seikyo returned with Unohana.
