The group of teachers had dress code similar to the students but wore grey outer shirts, black pants and black robes covering them. Leading them was a slightly tanned fat man with a bald head and small eyes that gave a somewhat frightening expression. He had a small gold necklace and wore thin glasses.

A different stand is erected with a board next to it. Each is called Class 1, Class 2 and so on. There are four of them each holding a list of about 100 names. The teachers stood behind the stands and a voice rang out

"Find your name and line up in front of the stands. You will get your identity card along with the dormitory that you will occupy"

As soon as it was said all the recruits started moving, most of them went to Class 1, hoping to get in. Class 1 is known as the elite while class 2 and 3 are known as the average class and class 4 is the lowest . Amidst a disappointed sigh, Itsuki and his friends barged in and found their names.

Minamoto Itsuki – 100%

Gin Ichimaru – 98%

Matsumoto Rangiku – 95%

"Wow, Itsuki you got the perfect score" Rangiku was obviously excited for his friend as Itsuki replied

"You did well too"

Gin continued to look lost as they marched.

They waited for a while before it was finally their turn. Gin and Itsuki are given a room together and Rangiku is with another girl. Although they can meet in class, they cannot meet in each other's dorms because men and women are separated and the opposite sex is not allowed in.

They can still hang out, but it will be different because they have just left each other's company in the past month. After obtaining their identity cards, they were then sent to a room so that the academy could collect their size for uniforms. Itsuki made a special request to see if he could pair a mask on his shirt, similar to Kakashi's Hatake T-shirt but white. The hat is not allowed.

His request was accepted but he had to pay Kan who was left for the shirt. He doesn't need Kan as everything will be provided by the academy. Itsuki, however, did not like to cover his face because he thought it was futile but had no choice because it would only attract too much attention.

After all this was done, they were shown directions to the dormitory. Rangiku's mood seems to be declining, but Itsuki and Gin know that he will return to his usual cheerful self tomorrow.

The male dormitory is on the east side of the school right next to the Zanjutsu hall. They could hear people training their swords in the hall but refrained from entering because they were too tired. There are six floors in the dormitory with each floor representing a year. Itsuki and Gin find their room just as the sun is about to set and fall asleep.

the next morning

Wearing a uniform, Itsuki looked at a piece of paper and found his schedule for the day on it.

Day 1 – Introductory lesson

7-7:55 – General Knowledge in Room ##

9:55-10:05 – Break

10:05-11:25 – Hakuda in Hakuda Training Hall ##

11:30-12:50 – Hoho in Hoho Training Field ##

12:50-13:50 – Lunch

13:55-14:15 – Kido in Kido Training Field ##

14:20-16:00 – Zanjutsu in Zanjutsu Training Hall

Itsuki looked at the clock and realized that it was already 06:15.

Technology in the soul society is unusual. Although the Soul Society's lifestyle and culture could be compared to feudal Japan, they had technology at a rate that exceeded that time period. Things like touch screens and databases are used for files and storage of historical documentation, so it's only natural that things like clocks exist.

"Itsuki, let's go now and get used to the academy. We'll be able to find the room by asking fellow students."

After clearing his mind, Itsuki nodded in acknowledgment and followed Gin out of the dormitory. Only the first years could be seen as all the lessons from the other students had been canceled for the day. This was because the academy wanted all the facilities available for the first years. Although they can visit certain areas to practice, the main teaching areas are closed.

After a short tour of the academy, they then searched the room where their general knowledge class was located. They discover that the Zanjutsu training hall is located next to the male dormitory while the Kido hall is behind the academy. The library was located in the middle of the entire school, but they had not been able to enter it.

Due to the vastness of the school it was quite easy to get lost, but after receiving some pointers from the seniors they were able to reach the classroom. Only half an hour had passed before they arrived at the classroom. Although it was only 06:45, half the class was already filled.

This is not a classroom and is more like a lecture hall. A whiteboard was at the front along with the podium.

Three column rows could be seen with two stairs between them. They saw Rangiku was already here with his new roommate furiously waving at them.
