Gengoro remained in the same spot as Itsuki ran towards him. A clear sound of impact occurred as the swords clashed against each other and before Itsuki had made a second move, Gengoro attacked and hit his chest.
"Too many openings. Once again"
Itsuki got up, took the position of chudan and once again stormed Gengoro. After being hit, Gengoro attempts the same attack but is blocked by Itsuki.
Pushing his memory partition and thought acceleration to the limit, Itsuki can last for a few minutes before being taken down.
Seeing Itsuki increasing at a visible speed, only one thought was on Gengoro's head
'Very talented in swords'
This continued for an hour before Gengoro fired him. Itsuki did not go straight to the dorm but instead headed to the training ground even though he was still tired. After one round of training he went straight to his room and, without greeting Gin or even dinner, he fell asleep immediately.
the next morning -
Waking up to the sound of her tummy rumbling, Itsuki got up, took a bath and went to the cafeteria. When the sun had not yet risen, there was no one in the cafeteria so Itsuki could finally eat quietly. A little while later, Gin finally joined him.
"You can't get ready any calmer" Gin asked in an exasperated voice as he sat next to her
Not expecting a reply, he continued
"Rangiku and Isazaka-san are in the same Kido class so we will wait for them"
Itsuki had just eaten when people started coming to the canteen. They then join Rangiku and Yuroe before they leave for Kido class.
The training field was larger than the one they had visited before. It was a long stretch of grass where a cardboard target exercise was placed at the other end. The teacher and his assistant were waiting there. After all the students came, he started his lesson.
First he demonstrated to the assistant teacher by pointing at him
"Grando #1. Sai"
He then explained the principle behind it and repeated his spell, then, like the others, asked the students to start practicing while correcting their mistakes.
Fortunately for Itsuki, the time he spent meditating and emptying his reiats had helped increase his control. Along with his mental abilities, it was not difficult for him to learn kido quickly, even taking it a step further and using it without a spell.
To the amazement of other teachers, she was told to visit the library to learn more children. The class ended and this was lunch
Nothing happened in that class other than the teacher talking about the Soul society.
He explains that the reign of Soul Society consists of Soul King, Nobility and Judiciary, also known as Central 46.
There are four armed forces in the society of the soul:
Gotei 13 – This is the largest organization followed by most Shinigami and is their main military branch.
Royal Guard – This is the personal guard of the Soul king and consists of the former captain of Gotei 13
Onmitsukido – This is the second largest organization where a Shinigami can join and take responsibility for things like murder, intelligence gathering, sending messages to things like imprisoning and supervising criminals.
The lecture continues as Itsuki gains a better understanding of the Soul society.
After the lecture is over Itsuki says goodbye to his friends and goes to start his training regime.
four months later -
Itsuki was seen letting go of her burden as a joyful smile was plastered on her face. His superior was slowly removed, showing off his perfect muscles clearly showing the explosive power hidden within.
During these four months Itsuki has made a huge improvement overall. He could learn 30 bakudo and hido kido, and had perfected the hoho, moving on to learning Shunpo. With Hakuda he was at the top of the class because he prioritized speed above everything else, however, he showed most of the improvement in his swordsmanship. He was way above his peers and with the occasional spar with Gengoro he showed amazing results.
Surprisingly, even though he showed a drastic increase in sword attainment, he had reached a bottleneck with his zanpakuto. It was still a similar black and white handle with more prominent colors. Every time he tried to connect to his inner world, it always seemed to be covered in mist, it seemed like he was missing something. Realizing that he would not get an answer right away, he concentrated fully on his swordsmanship as he nearly reached the level of a swordsman.
He also trained his mystic eyes on the perception of death by slashing at them without concentrating on them and his mental abilities also increased. He could hasten his thoughts to a faster level but there was no change to the partition of his memories.
The reason for today's happiness was one thing, he had finally reached the physical requirement to practice the correct Hiten mitsurugi-ryu instead of just the basics. With the help of reiatsu and regular weight training, Itsuki can finally improve his physical abilities to the required level.
Also known as the Heavenly Flying Sword Style, Hiten mitsurugi-ryu is an ancient kenjutsu from the warring nations period. It was developed to allow a samurai to defeat many enemies on his own using a combination of incredible speed and agility, battojutsu, and pseudo observation based observations that allow a practitioner to anticipate the opponent's movements.
Offensive and defensive maneuvers are performed with minimal movement to enhance the practitioner's ability to counterattack and conserve energy.
A user can only bring out the true potential of the technique if he has a body suitable for it, where Itsuki has just reached a minimal need.
Itsuki finished the practice today by practicing two-step battojutsu while constantly sheathing and wielding his sword trying to get the rhythm right. Finally achieving her goal, she decided to take time off tomorrow.
