"Otis, happy birthday" said a businessman known for his kindness.

"Forest, how are you? Thanks for coming, hahahaha. I'm getting older" Otis replied as he clasped Mr. Forest's wrist.

Some guests also wished Otis a happy birthday that night. The 68-year-old man was very happy and his face was radiant.

Luke's heart thumped as he watched Nay gracefully greet the guests. Not once did he regret his love for the girl.

"Day! Kanaya!" alma's voice breaks Luke's daydream that is right next to her.

Feeling her name being called by a voice familiar to her sense of hearing, Kanaya turned to the source of the sound. He smiled widely and waved to his aunt. The girl stared at Luke long enough before she finally said goodbye to her interlocutor.

"Aunt Alma, we haven't seen each other in a long time" Kanaya said, hugging her aunt in affection. "Hello, Uncle," not to forget, he said hello to Luke who was looking up to Nay.

"Tonight, I thank the guests who took the time to come to my show tonight. Actually I don't want to have a party, it's just that tonight I want to give some surprises to my dear daughter" Otis said. The man looked towards Kanaya and clasped his hand.

"I want to officially hand over ownership of Rivers Group to Kanaya Rivers" Otis said.

The entire room applauded and welcomed their young new group leader. Otis hands a small teddy bear to Nay. On the neck of the little bear was bound a long red ribbon. "Because my son is a woman so as a symbol of the change of leadership Rivers Group has been handed over to Kanaya Rivers,"

Nay received the doll and cut the tail ribbon from the bear. The applause and cheers of the guests filled the room.

"How, Nay, is it accepted?" otis asked jokingly.

The girl laughed embarrassedly. "I accept, Papa," he said.

Otis hugged his daughter with affection. "Today I have a birthday, but it was my daughter who got the surprise. Now, my second surprise for today is that I want to announce Kanaya's engagement to the son of one of my best friends, Felix North,"

The thundering applause hardened when the name North was mentioned by Otis. Kanaya looked at her father with a slightly annoyed look. "What engagement, Pa?"

Before long, a parlente-style man took to the stage and immediately embraced Kanaya's slender waist.

The girl was looking for her uncle and she saw Luke staring intently at her. He doesn't understand either, just like Nay himself.

Mr and Mrs North followed her son to the stage. They shake hands with Otis and Nay who are still confused.

The guests cheered happily.

Nay's forehead frowned and he turned his gaze once more to look for Luke. He did not want his lover to misunderstand.

At once, Nay took his hand out of Felix's. He came down the stage and ran out. The girl no longer cared about her father's voice calling her name.

Seeing Nay walk out of the building, Luke immediately runs after him. Alma is shocked and calls her husband, "Luke! Luke!"

But alma's fate is the same as Otis's. Luke doesn't care about Alma's call. He quickened his pace and met Kanaya who was in front of the building. "Kanaya!"

Nay stopped as he heard the voice he missed. "Uncle" the girl ran and hugged her uncle.

"Please don't misunderstand me" whispered Nay.

Luke returns Nay's embrace and kisses Nay's head fondly without speaking.

The hug scene was witnessed by someone who was quite surprised to see the closeness of the uncle to his nephew. "Is it natural to embrace like that?" ask someone to themselves.
