"K-, Kai?"

Nay immediately released his embrace from Luke. "I-, this isn't what you imagined, Kai. Believe this. I'm just confiding, you know?"

Kai retreated in disgust. One hand was raised forward, preventing Kanaya from getting close. "Oh yeah? I heard the word 'Uncle, I love you, ' from your mouth, Nay! That's the craziest speech I've ever heard! And you, dear Lord Wallace, Kanaya is your own niece and you already have a wife who is none other than your niece's aunt! It could be that you are following lust and hurting the feelings of others like this! I didn't think it out! It may be true, my grandfather said, the world is about to end!" Kai shuddered in horror.

"What does this have to do with you, Fletcher? This is none of your business!" luke's hatch, he dragged Nay's hand and rushed off.

But Kai did not lose quickly, he pulled Nay's other hand and held him back. "This has something to do with me, Mr. Wallace. You've hurt the woman I love!"

"Suckers! Release her hands!" Luke's orders.

Kai insisted and kept Kanaya's hand. Luke is shocked when Nay releases his hand. "N-, Nay? You, ...."

Kai smiled with satisfaction. "See, Mr Wallace?"

The bespectacled man took his motorcycle and took Kanaya away from there as fast as he could. Kai drove the speed of his second wheeled vehicle at a fairly high speed. He did not hear the girl behind him asking and calling her name.

Some time later, Kai beautifully parked his motorbike at a food stall by the lake.

"Where is this?" nay asked, the girl immediately got off Kai's big bike.

"Just go inside" said Kai coldly. He walked ahead of Nay and immediately looked for a seat by the calm lake.

Unlike usual, that afternoon Kai was so silent and just stared at the lake. Until their order arrives, Kai remains silent.

"Kai, talk." asked Nay. The girl was more tormented if the man in front of her was just silent. It's better for him if Kai gets angry or slaps his cheek or berate him by any name. However, not a single word came out of Kai's mouth.

Nay is further tormented when Kai doesn't look at her at all. "Kai, man,"

Nay's voice was choked. The conditions have been so fucked up all day. He felt broken to the brink. Her relationship with Luke is also strained, she is forced to get engaged to a foreign man she doesn't know, and now, her only best friend she has is angry with him.

A tear fell back, Nay quickly wiped it. "Kai, I'm home,"

Nay got up from his wooden chair and rushed away, but Kai held his hand. "Sit down, Nay,"

"It's also free that I'm in front of you if you shut up, Kai! You don't want to look at me either!" breaking was already crying Kanaya who had been in her seat earlier.

Kai pulled the girl's little hand and hugged her. He remained silent and still did not speak a word. Even until Nay finished crying.

"It's still quiet! I'll just go home!" nay protested with a loud voice. Both of his eyes were red and swollen after crying loudly.

"Can't you just sit back and enjoy this view? I'm reconciling myself, Nay. What happens if I get carried away with emotions, I might be able to slap the new Rivers Group leader. You're my boss now, Nay. You're the one who gave me the paycheck, what happens if the world finds out I slapped you? My fate will be truly humbling without clarity" Kai lamented, trying to make the girl he loved smile back.

Kanaya grunts. "We're friends! Even if I become the leader of this world, we'll still be friends, Kai. Nothing will change" he said.

"I know. Do you remember, before I took you to Aunt Alma's wedding, I told you that I met a handsome guy like a superhero and I fell in love with him?" asked Nay and Kai nodded while cutting off his Cheese Quichenya. "That man is my uncle, Kai. I loved him when he didn't have my aunt's husband status and he wasn't my uncle yet,"

Kai swallowed the quichenya quickly and downed the mineral water from the bottle. "But now married and already your uncle, Nay. Forget her. You are young, beautiful, rich. What else is less? All men can line up in front of you if you announce that you are looking for a future husband. I'll be in the front row" Kai gave his big smile to the girl who was frowning.

"I know," replied Nay weakly. This time he was the one who was silent and just stared at the greenish-colored lake. "I know the consequences I'm facing, Kai. I knew that I would hurt my aunt and father's feelings. What I don't know is how I can live without him, Kai?" nay's tears are back.

"Is it that far?" asked Kai bitterly.

Nay nodded. "I really love her, Kai. Our relationship was so sweet at first but lately Uncle Luke spent more time with Aunt Alma,"

Kai kicked the table hard and some visitors turned to him. "It's clear, Nay! Your aunt is your uncle's wife! It's only natural that the husband and wife are so! Awake, Kanaya! Conscious! Conscious!" the man splashed cold water on Nay's face.

"Kai, stop! I know that reality! You don't have to remind me of that anymore! The problem is that I love my uncle and it's hard for me to forget" replied Nay weakly.

"You're engaged, aren't you? Use your fiancee to forget Mr. Wallace," Kai suggested as he knocked on the table.

Nay breathed. "I don't know Felix the Cat! How about you help me forget about my uncle,"

Kai's eyebrows are linked. "Weh? Me? How's it?"

"Let me back" said Nay and he held Kai's hand. Just by the grip of his hand alone made Kai blush.

Upon arrival at the Otis residence, Nay immediately invites Kai to enter. "Why did I come in?"

"You want our friendship to be upgraded, don't you? Yes, let's go in!" kanaya answered again impatiently, she grabbed Kai by the hand and half-dragged him.

Kanaya saw there were still his uncle and aunt's shoes there. The girl nodded steadily and stepped inside.

"Nay, where have you been? Felix's family was looking for you to say goodbye. And why did you bring him here?" ask Otis.

Kanaya doesn't care about her father's questions. He glanced at Luke who was staring at him with a huff.

"Pa, I want to break off my engagement to Felix" Nay said.

Otis' face instantly flushed. "Don't mess with you, Kanaya! The engagement has been done and you're acting again!"

"I don't love Felix, Pa. There's someone else I love!" sahut Nay's. Her tears flowed back without her being able to prevent it. It hurts so much to see the man he really loves just stare at him.

"Who is that man? Is that the kid behind you?" otis asked scornfully.

Nay glanced back at his uncle who was immediately wasting his face when their eyes met. "Yes, I want to marry Kai Fletcher! I love her, Pa,"
