"Luke, what's the reason you dropped your lawsuit?" ask Alma.

That day, Luke had already returned to his home because he felt bad for Kai who managed to get Nay excited again.

"none. I have promised someone" replied Luke coldly.

Alma squinted her forehead. "I thought you were going to give me a chance to fix our marriage, it was just a promise" Alma said.

"Sorry Alma, but my heart is not for you. On the other hand, I can't refuse that person's promise. Now I feel uncomfortable" Luke said. The frown on his forehead is a sign that the man is thinking hard and there is fear that appears on the look on his face. "I don't think I'll be able to beat him. If I could be that brave to him. I'm just afraid of hurting Nay's heart and feelings,"

The last words Luke addressed to himself were heard by Alma. "What's wrong with Nay?"

"There's nothing" Luke answered briefly.

Alma sees Luke as a teenage boy who when his love is threatened by the presence of a third person. The woman shook her head as well. "Dadeuh!"

"What's wrong with you?" Luke asked.

Alma only gave her palm in response. After that she moved away from her husband while shaking her head. She no longer understands her husband's behavior.

Luke is in turmoil. He is jealous of Kai, even before Kai gets a hug from Nay, he has been enjoying himself with the girl he loves.

"Aarrggh! Why don't I dare talk to Nay like that? I'm so stupid!" luke told himself.

The next day, Luke goes back to visit Nay and takes him out to sunbathe. Based on Kai's decision and it was approved by several nurses and doctors, Nay was able to escape from his wheelchair.

"Nay, may I ask you a question?" ask Luke. The adult man helped Nay by moving the infusion pole.

Nay nodded. "Can. Uncle, we're sitting on that chair, yuk!" bring him. Luke agrees and walks with Nay to a garden chair in the shade of the sun. "Uncle asks what?"

"How's Kai Fletcher in your eyes?" ask Luke.

Just so Kanaya laughed. "Haha! Uncle is jealous of Kai?"

Now, Luke feels stupid in front of his beloved niece. "Why are you laughing? I feel like Fletcher is better than me. He can get you excited and you're very obedient to Fletcher. Whatever he does, whatever he says, you always obey him. But not with me, Nay. Last night I thought I was the one who used to obey all your will" Luke protested.

The handsome man and the sexist in his adult age had thought all night and admitted his statement, that all this time he was the one who gave up the most on Nay and obeyed all the will of the girl.

Nay held his uncle's large, warm hand. "I've considered him my own brother and my love for him is different from my love for Uncle. Kai is firm and natural if a sister obeys his brother's words compared to his father's orders, right?"

Luke seemed unsatisfied with Nay's reply. So, he asked again. "Then, why are you asking me to drop the divorce?"

Nay's face turned grim instantly. "I don't know how much longer I can hold on. Kai or the doctor could have asked me not to give up and keep fighting against this damn cell, but I did and I felt this pain too, Uncle! Feels exhausting. I don't want to die young, I still want to enjoy my life. I want to marry Uncle, travel the world with you, see Kai get married, meet my mother, but at the same time, I'm tired too. Even to roll over, my energy seemed to evaporate!"

"I want so much, Uncle. Can we do that? Including a vacation to the beach?" nay asked still sobbing.

Luke nodded. " Yes, Honey. We're going on vacation together to the beach,"

Nay's already compiled a list of his wishes. He had it arranged with Kai a few nights before. This is what Nay and Kai will do when the girl is allowed out of the hospital later.

Kai secretly sees Nay and Luke joking around and talking. Nay's face seemed very happy when the girl was next to Luke. "I've never been in your heart, well, Nay. As long as you are happy, I will be happy for you too,"

The bespectacled man also caught up with the two couples who were sunbathing in the park. "Hey, Nay. It's time to take your medicine,"

Nay sneered towards Kai. "Huh! Event destroyer! Hahaha," supported by Kai and Luke, Nay stood up slowly. But suddenly, he fell. His face looked very frightened. "K-, Kai! I why?"

Luke was about to run to find a nurse. "I'll call for help, just a second!"

"No need! Hold on tight Nay! Don't you let go! I'll carry you inside!" Kai immediately lifted the small body into his arms and, like in a drama, ran with Nay in his arms.

Once inside the room, the doctor and several nurses immediately treated Nay. Luke and Kai wait outside the hospital room.

"Fletcher, can't you back off?" ask Luke

Kai shook his head. "You're not officially married yet, I can't back down. Take it easy, I'm not the jerk who's gonna corner you."

"What's your excuse?" Luke asked again.

"I want to make sure he survives. He was healthy, healed of his pain, and lived happily. I don't care who's going to be with him later. As long as the man is able to make my girl smile and happy, I'll back off" Kai replied firmly.

The assertiveness of Kai's answer impressed Luke with the 23-year-old different man he was with. "You're amazing, Fletcher. I salute you,"

Shortly, the doctor came out. Both Kai and Luke spontaneously got out of their seats and approached the doctor. "How, doc?"

The doctor looked tired and desperate. "The development of cancer cells is already quite large and increasingly malignant. They did stop spreading, but they ate all the organs and red blood cells that were still active in Miss Rivers' body. Currently, it has entered stage 3. Miss Rivers is also anemic and will need a blood transfusion later. Again, we'll try our best,"

"What's the likelihood of his life, Doc? Is there hope?" ask Luke. His entire strength disappeared and he held on to Kai so he wouldn't fall.

After saying thank you, Luke and Kai meet the sleeping Nay. Now the hose that stuck in his body increased by one. "Hurry to heal, Nay. Be strong, honey," Luke gently kissed Nay on the forehead.

Suddenly, the phone rang. Nay's phone rang and it appeared Papa Otis' name made a video call to the lying girl. Luke and Kai looked at each other. "How is this?"
