The Unconditional Love For My Uncle

The Unconditional Love For My Uncle
A Philosophy

"Mr Sean West?" ask Luke as soon as the door opens. Luke is at a Japanese restaurant and invites Mr. West to meet him. From the information Luke got, Mr. West was very fond of Japanese food, so, Luke reached out big enough to rent a private room of the restaurant for the two of them.

When Luke finds out he made a mistake, that day Luke immediately contacts Mr. Sean West and asks him to meet with him.

Sean West is a man who turns out to be nothing like Luke's shadow. West's age may be the same as Luke's. He is dashing and there may also be Japanese ancestry if seen from his face.

"Wallace? Great choice of your restaurant. Turns out you've been looking into me so I can understand your fatal mistake, huh? I'll see how big your apology is after that, I'll determine if I'm willing to negotiate with you" said Sean arrogantly.

Luke clenched his teeth. Were it not for apologizing, his bogem would have happily gotten acquainted with the man and obliterated his arrogant smile. "My mistakes. Human error, you know. When we're tired, mistakes can just happen, right? And about mark up-,"

"Mark up you guys made, really don't know shame! More than 100% you raise the numbers! What do you expect from such a big number?" asked Sean in amazement.

"Emergency fund, if we turned out to have a loss when you start running. Is there something wrong with that?" luke replied relaxed.

Sean responded arrogantly. "Why do you think of loss when you haven't even started. I like that idea. Rough, like putting a building into the sea. Brilliant! I'm sure, you're not the one who has this amazing idea, are you?"

"Kanaya Rivers's. It was you who had the idea to make the company under the sea" Luke replied a little proudly.

Before Sean answered him, a waiter came in with a teapot and two small cups. Before long, the other waiter came with sushi sashimi platter.

After the servants left and closed the door, Sean responded to Luke's reply. "Kanaya Rivers's. What an interesting girl. I've met him. I admit he's smart and the idea is amazing,"

Sean stuffed a piece of sushi, put wasabi on it and dipped it in soy sauce before he put it in his mouth. "Kanaya Rivers, sushi girl,"

"Whatchu mean? You liken him to sushi? Not very polite!" hatch Luke.

"Why do I like this food so much? Because everything is a choice. Starting from the selection of his rice, if not special rice, he would not be able to roll perfectly like this and just see, what makes it delicious. The ingredients looked simple but had the best quality" Sean said, noting that one piece of sushi rolled up with salmon and fish eggs on top.

Luke thought about Sean's answer and then he smiled. "Maybe you're right,"

The two quickly became familiar. Luke lays out about the project he and Nay will create until it requires such a large amount of funds.

"The government has to go in because you're going to build some kind of water fort" Sean said.

"We're working on it" said Luke.

Now, Luke can breathe a sigh of relief because it turns out Sean is not a vengeful leader. He understands the mistake and accepts Luke's reasoning well.

"I don't forgive you, Wallace. Your position is safe just because you carry the name Kanaya Rivers, My Sushi Girl. I'll approve and sign the contract. Tell Otis Rivers that you have won West Corporate" Sean said, signing a document with the proposal. "Other times, be careful" he continued while showing the print out of the financial plan of Rivers Group.

While Luke is preoccupied with Rivers Group's new project, Kanaya is preoccupied with her college assignments. "I can't, I give up, I can't do it anymore, Kai! It's crazy!" nay said one day as he ruffled his coarse hair.

His face looked tired and his body was getting smaller even though he ate more. "Rest, Nay. Your sleeping hours are sorely lacking if I pay attention."

"That's because my job is a lot, Kai." said Nay berkilah.

Kai's index finger wiggled. "Your job isn't much, Nay. You purposely did it the night so you wouldn't remember your uncle. Aggo!" hatch Kai.

Nay screeches. "Curtain! So if it's night, don't sleep first! Keep me company until I fall asleep! Shit!"

The girl sat on the dining chair and ate a warm soup made by Kai. She was grateful that Kai was with her at this time. At the very least, he had a friend to talk to and complain about.

"Ah, her fullness," Nay said as she stretched her body. "Thank you for the food, Kai. It's delicious" Nay continued, giving the versatile man a thumb.

"Curtain!" sahut Kai was grieving, but his heart cheered happily whenever Nay praised his cooking.

On the eve of the night, Nay began to occupy himself with his laptop and books. He really held firm to his principle of not contacting his father or Luke. Although his heart, eager to press the two numbers and hear their voices.

A knock on the door of Nay's room sounded, "Just enter. Since when do you knock on the door?"

Kai stuck his head out. "Your father wants to talk to you, Nay. Speak,"

Nay took a deep breath and exhaled. "Tell my dad, I'll be there,"

Before long, still wearing long pajamas and thick glasses, Nay approached Kai's laptop which was filled with his father's face.

"Lord! How I missed you, Dear," said Otis, his eyes glazed over as Nay approached him.

"Papa, is Papa healthy? Does Papa eat regularly?" ask Nay. His heart melted when he saw his father's face and longing returned to master it. "I miss you too, Pa,"

Otis laughed happily. "Look at me, I'm very healthy because I eat regularly. Fletcher always called me and sometimes accompanied me to eat, hehehehe. That kid, I like him more and more,"

"Ah, but what about you, Nay? You're so skinny! Did you eat a lot? Howwasyoursleep? Have you had dinner today? I'll send you money and buy you good milk and lots of food, Nay" Otis said. "A, ah! I don't accept rejection! Accept it and I'll ask Fletcher to keep an eye on your diet and sleep,"

Kai nodded. "Okay, Mr. Rivers. I'll make sure Nay eats and rests well,"

"Kai, did my uncle also contact you and ask about me?" kanaya asked as they finished talking to Otis.

Kai doesn't want to answer the question, but if Nay finds out the truth, he'll be furious with Kai. "Yes, he called me once in a while, hmmm, I mean once a week. Ah, well, he called me three to four times a day!"

Without Kai noticing, Luke's face was already on his laptop screen. "Tu-, Mr. Wallace! Nay! Haish!" Kai immediately left the room in annoyance.

"Uncle" said Nay. His lentic fingers rubbed his uncle's face which was plastered into a digital image.

"I miss you, Nay. How are you?" ask Luke. His fingers follow where Nay's fingers are.

Nay nodded. "I'm good and I'm screwed," the clear grain of Nay's eye crackers rolling down his cheek.

Luke's voice sounded raucous. She pulled her hair back. "I'm fucked without you, Nay. I want to be with you, me-,"

Suddenly, Aunt Alma walked into Luke's office and shifted the chair her husband occupied by "Nay! Can you stop bothering my husband!"

"Auntie? A-, I, ...."
