"Day!"

Several voices were heard calling out Kanaya's name. The girl closed her eyes for a moment. He could hear clearly, there was the voice of his uncle in one of the people calling his name.

But Nay ignored him. He pretended not to hear Luke's voice.

"I refuse!" otis hatch.

"If Papa refuses, I'll elope with Kai. Go, Kai!" nay's proposal that was preparing to escape by holding Kai's hand.

Kai rounded his eyes. "You're crazy, Nay!" whispered.

"CANAYA!" pekik Otis's. "If you dare to walk a single step out, then you are not my daughter anymore and I will give up my responsibility for you!"

The 23-year-old girl stopped her steps and stared at her father blindly with tears welling up in her eyes. "Is that so? Then I'll go to Mama's!"

This time Otis approached him. Kai takes over Nay's hand and moves it to the back of his body. Yes, he's ready to confront Mr. Otis Rivers.

Otis is shocked to see how Kai protects his daughter. He stopped in front of Kai. "Young man, do you seriously love my daughter?"

Kai stared intently at the green bead that belonged to the father of the girl he loved. "Yes, I really love Kanaya. There was no intention of my heart to play with his feelings. I'm not like a cowardly man who gives false hope without being able to give certainty,"

Kai's eyes glanced at Luke's seat. She could see Aunt Nay looking at them with a frightened look on her face. As for Luke, his face looked furious and annoyed.

"What do you mean?" asked Otis in wonder. "Don't vilify others, Young Man!"

"I'm sorry, Mr. Rivers. I have no intention of ridiculing anyone, it's just that I'm reminded of this man" Kai replied straightforwardly. He was not afraid of Otis at all, let alone Luke Wallace.

Otis nodded impatiently. "I don't want to lose my son. If Kanaya has caught up with her mother, then my mistake has been fatal, so I will consider you as Nay's companion,"

Kai smiled happily. "really? Well, well then, thank you very much, Mr. Rivers," Kai shook Otis' hand and shook it vigorously. "Have you heard that, Nay? Your father gave us permission,"

"Stop! I could break my hand later! If you make my daughter cry, I will not hesitate to make you regret having been born! Go!" otis insisted again, and she again stepped into the living room where she had been sitting.

With light steps Kai took Kanaya to get out. Arriving outside the gate, Nay immediately drags Kai into his car.

"Kai, Stupid!" tukas Nay after they get into his car. The girl hit Kai in the hand while crying loudly.

"Ow! What's wrong with you, Nay? It's your will and I've been your son-in-law. You should have thanked me instead of hitting me and calling me stupid!" kai protest. "And why are you crying?"

Kanaya sobbed, the girl busily rubbed her eyes with her hands. "A-, suppose, pa-, my uncle sep-, like you, mu-, maybe a-, I'm not-, wouldn't cry, Kai,"

The man in front of him smiled and put Nay into his arms. "I told you I like you, Nay. I did it so you could believe that I really liked you. You can hold my heart, almost dislodged! It's great that I fought the top brass of the group I worked for,"

Inevitably, Kanaya laughed. "That's why, I called you stupid, hahahaha!"

Kai smiled happily when he saw Nay laughing. "You're prettier when you laugh, Nay. Don't let anything or anyone make you fall and cry,"

Nay looked fixedly at the black bead that was currently staring at and locked onto his two neutrals. "If you had, Uncle Luke was like you, Kai. Suppose, ...."

It's been almost a week, Nay and Kai's relationship is getting closer. Kai shamelessly plays to Kanaya's house and sometimes invites Otis to play chess or just play with Otis's puppy whom he has yet to name.

"What's his name you think?" otis asked as she stroked her puppy. It is undeniable, with the presence of Kai in Kanaya's life makes Otis not lonely anymore.

"Ah, what if his name is Coffee, because he's like coffee, right, sir? Hahahaha," Kai replied as he joked.

Otis looked at his puppy and shook his head. "You're not creative! Find the others!"

"The less creative is actually you, Mr. Rivers, hahahaha! All right, what about Mocha?" said Kai again.

"Hmmm, good too. The mocha! Ckckck, Mocha," Otis called his sister's mini red poodle.

Before long, Alma and Luke arrive with Otis's favorite coffee and a few boxes of steaks and fries.

"Repot once you, Alma. Come inside. Me and Kai are playing, hehehe. He's smart as it turns out," Otis chuckled.

Luke looked coldly at Kai holding Mocha in his lap. He and Nay sat next to each other and looked very close. Luke doesn't like that!

"What's coming here? I kind of got a double surprise," asked Otis happily.

"Oh, it just happened to be le-,"

"I want to tell my sister that Alma and I are going on a honeymoon and plan to have a baby soon, right, honey?" answer Luke. The man wrapped his hands around Alma's waist while glancing at Kanaya. Yes, he had a hidden intent when he said that. He wanted to make Kanaya jealous and sick.

Otis rounded his eyes. "really? Oh, I'm so happy! When are you going to leave?"

"Maybe in the near future and our real goal is to be here to ask permission if someone else in the next 1 to 2 weeks I can't get to work, brother," Luke smiled. His eyes were still staring intently at Kanaya. The man finds out if Nay heard his words or not.

Meanwhile, Kanaya who heard the shocking news from her uncle and aunt immediately went into the room quietly and locked the door. He was increasingly aware that he would never be able to get love from his uncle.

The girl immersed herself in the blanket and shed all the tears of her pain there. After she was satisfied crying, she decided to immediately forget her uncle from her life.

The next day, Nay who had just returned home from the office heard someone talking inside his office pantry. Nay listened carefully to what the man was talking about.

"Observe him! Don't let you lose track of him and report to me whatever he does and wherever he goes especially when he goes along with Kanaya Rivers!" the man's orders.

Nay hears a familiar voice and he opens the door to his office pantry and finds Uncle Luke calling someone on his cell phone.

"Uncle! What's Uncle gonna do to Kai?" ask Nay not to believe it.

Luke screeching. "Curtain! Because that guy you forgot about me and took me out of your life, didn't you, Nay?"

Kanaya shook her head strongly. "Nobody ever forgets Uncle or takes Uncle out of my life. My heart, my love, and my love are only for one Uncle! Not Felix North or Kai!" Nay firmly. "But looking at Uncle who was like a coward at the moment, made me consider my feelings. And it seems like I should indeed forget about Uncle from my life!" The girl opened the pantry door and hurried away.

"Day! Kanaya!" exclaim Uncle Luke. But unfortunately, Nay increasingly accelerated his steps without looking again at Luke.
