3 Days Before Wedding,
("Uncle, I'll be back at the Metropolitan this afternoon and will be waiting for you at the address I sent you yesterday. I was hoping Uncle would come to see me. I will continue to wait until the place closes and I am expelled from the place") Nay wrote in his message.
Before long, Felix walked up to the girl and grabbed her waist. "Nothing left?"
Nay shakes. "No, we're going back here anyway, right?"
Ever since Luke asks Nay to forget about him and tells him to seek his own happiness, Nay goes to great lengths to love Felix. But how hard he tried, Luke was always in his heart.
"Felix, once we get to that, I'll see a friend. So, we split up there" Nay said.
Felix nodded. "alright. I know who you want to meet, Kai Fletcher. If at that time I knew that he was your friend, I would be kind to him" Felix said, a little regretful.
"No need to think about it, Kai is like that. He will not be angry or vengeful towards you. He is the most sincere person I have ever known" Nay said. She lies. It wasn't Kai she would meet later. However, he has asked Kai to help him if Felix asks about their meeting.
The 16-hour trip was spent chatting, eating, and sometimes playing games together. Nay has three boxes in his life. The first box contains the family, the second box contains Kai, and the third box contains Luke. Usually Kai controls the second box alone, but now Nay puts Felix in the second box with Kai. The box containing Luke, locked securely at the bottom of his heart. No one else could reach the depths of Luke's box.
Unbelievably, their sixteen-hour journey had ended. They were welcomed by the North family as well as Kai Fletcher and Otis Rivers. "Day!"
Otis and Kai waved at Nay and Felix. The two men looked very lively with party trinkets and paper trumpets that they blew.
"Your father and Fletcher are like best friends. It's so cool of them, I'm envious" Felix said. The man stood facing Nay tightly holding the handle of his small suitcase. "It's time we parted ways, see you tomorrow morning, Nay. I'll call you tonight,"
Nay nodded. "I sometimes envy Kai because he's closer to my father. Ah, all right, see you in the morning. See you, Felix,"
The two split after Otis and Mr and Mrs North had a conversation about the big day they were going to have in three days.
"Papa, I'll take off my miss with Kai. Papa just go home first and thank you for welcoming me," Nay hugged his father a little longer.
Otis pursed his lips. "Didn't you miss your father, Nay? Why let go of longing with Fletcher but not with me?" the middle-aged man's protest.
Nay gave his sweetest smile to Otis. "certainly different. When I get home, Papa's waiting for me and we can talk until morning. But not with Kai. He's not coming home with me, is he? Hehehe, see you at home, Pa,"
Kai and Nay come to a restaurant. The restaurant looked very quiet and only saw the waitress who was busy chatting and some of them were playing with their phones.
"Good afternoon, sorry this restaurant has been booked for a whole day, miss," said the reception lady in a slightly haughty style.
Nay smiled and pulled out his business card. "I was with Kanaya Rivers who ordered one of these restaurants all day long,"
The reception lady immediately apologized and bowed respectfully to Nay. "Ah, forgive me, Miss Rivers. I don't know your face,"
"No problem. Can we go in and order now?" ask Nay.
The woman nodded again and invited Nay to sit wherever she wanted.
"Well, you're really making good use of your money, Nay. But suppose Luke doesn't come. What are you gonna do?" ask Kai. He sat down in front of Nay while enjoying a potato salad as their appetizer which was quickly served by the head chef.
"I'm home" replied Nay casually.
"A little bit of your story about Felix, but he's your future husband" Kai said when Nay finished telling the story.
"I don't love him. He's just my diversion. I don't have the heart to use you so I think I'm married to Felix" Nay replied guiltlessly.
"That means a lot to your life, Nay. Ckckckc," said Kai.
After Kai leaves, Nay asks the waiter for a warm cup of coffee. Not long after, a warm cup of coffee and a beautiful piece of cake were served on the table. Nay pulls out a book that he intentionally brought with him to spend his time waiting for Luke.
Nay glanced at the omega-splattered watch he was wearing on his right wrist. That afternoon, the clockwork had already led to four in the afternoon less. It's been three hours Nay's waiting. His hands started to cool due to the vasoconstriction that was going on inside his body.
The clock again shifted to the right, but Luke had not yet appeared. Not even through messages. Now Nay's position is like being in his own home.
He took whatever he wanted and on his desk were already two empty beer cans and half a beer can. "Come on, Uncle, come on" Nay said.
Sometimes the girl sticks her head out the window and sometimes she goes in and out of the restaurant to see if Luke's car has been seen or not.
Nay was almost crying when the clock showed almost 7 p.m. As the restaurant began serving dinner, Nay prepared to step out of the four-Michelin-starred restaurant.
Just as all of Nay's belongings went into the bag, the door of the classic restaurant opened and a handsome, thin-bearded man came in, wearing a T-shirt in a simple black suit. "Have to go home, Nay,"
Nay immediately turned to the direction of the voice he had been waiting for. He refrained from running towards his uncle. Instead of running, Nay smiled gracefully and elegantly. "I thought, Uncle won't come. I just tidied up my stuff. Come, please sit down, Uncle," said Nay.
Luke approached Nay and kissed Kanaya on both cheeks. "I'm coming, Nay,"
Unable to bear it, Nay hugged his uncle tightly. "I miss you, Uncle. I don't think Uncle's coming,"
They sat facing each other and did not talk to each other. Only their two eyes seemed to tell what happened as long as they were far apart. Kanaya was able to catch the longing gazes emanating from her uncle's two eyes. So too with Luke. The man could also see the longing from Kanaya's face.
"I can't linger, just say quickly what's your request?" ask Luke.
"I didn't ask for anything from Uncle. I just want Uncle to know that I still love Uncle with all my heart, soul, and body" replied Nay. Boldly, the girl locked onto her uncle's beads so that Luke seemed to be bewitched by Nay.
Luke's speechless. He wanted to end the unhealthy relationship and refocus on his son and wife. "If I were, I-I, ...."
"I know Uncle still loves me. The look in Uncle's eyes that told me," Nay braved boldly.
"It's crazy, Nay! Our relationship is wrong! I have a daughter and I love my son. I love Alma too. I admit I miss you and I want to hug you but it's all wrong!" luke is desperate. Somehow he had to explain to the girl who was staring at him.
Nay braves to get close to Luke. His face drew closer to his uncle and a second later he gently kissed Luke's lips. "I don't understand right or wrong, all I know right now is that I really love Uncle" she whispered.
Without hesitation, Nay again swept his lips to his uncle's lips and spilled all his longing feelings in the kiss he gave to his uncle.
Nay's heart screeched happily as Luke countered his response. The pageant that they had long since missed and might soon forget. However, Kanaya will not forget the kiss that night quickly. Unbroken with charcoal, she whispered softly with her spoiled and seductive voice. "Uncle, let's elope,"
