Chapter 12 Conquest of Dungeon III

Not long after I slept, Emilia woke me up.

“What's Emilia?”

“Our camp seems to be attacked by monsters.”

“What?”

I saw smoke rising from the camp across the pond. I could also hear their panicked screams. This is so, how can we be attacked?

What are the guards doing?

From the sound of their screams, I estimated that the monsters that attacked the cukuo were strong. As well as many of them who did not have the experience of a surprise attack like this. “Ciel, we should be there soon to help them.”

“Good. Emilia we're going there.”

“Good master.”

When we arrived, the camp was already on fire and many adventurers were killed. We walked into the camp. We heard the sound of a fight and we ran towards it.

That's Rick's voice. He ordered to retreat. It means that the monsters they are facing are too strong.

We arrived at Rick's place.

“Why are you here? I've given the order to retreat,” Rick said in an annoyed tone.

“Indeed the monsters that attacked as strong as what?”

“That's monster level A. We need more B-rated adventurers if it's like this.”

So that's the problem. Our group is mostly D-rated. It was likely that they had never fought a monster this strong. I also saw a lot of E-rank ascetics who died.

“How many monsters? And where is it now?”

“Only 1 tail only. The monster is on the edge of this encoding.”

“What is this Boss dungeon?”

“Possibilities like that. If not how can it be this strong?”

“I'll be there. You bring the wounded adventurers to leave this place.”

“Are you crazy? You're an E rank, right?”

He looks confused.

“Good. You have to stay alive.”

I nodded my head. Suddenly Emilia was holding my shirt.

“Wait! I'll come too. You need support for sure.”

Laura also wants to come with me.

“I think he's right. You at least need B rank support,” said Rick.

I agree with Rick and Laura's idea. Laura will come with us to provide support.

“Three of you, don't die.” Rick said with a serious face.

Me, Emilia, and Laura headed to the monster's place. Emilia and I are used to working together, but not with Laura. This is our first collaboration. My level and Emilia are far below. Meaning he should be stronger than us in terms of the skills he has. Thank goodness I met him.

“Let's beat that monster!”

I thought I'd use Caleo to get up there.

“So how can we go up there Ciel?” ask Laura

I used Gladio and Emilia used masamune.

”Ciel, can you use the sword calling skill?”

Laura used her Holly Protection on us. The skill was useful in protecting us from attacks for a while. From the power I felt maybe the skill level was A.

Emilia also used Blue Fire. He attacked right at the head of the hornets. Then he also coated the masamune with his skill. While Emilia was shooting, I attacked from close range. When anyone tried to run, they were finished off by Emilia.

After we finished at that place, we continued our search. We walked in a big hallway. No monsters appeared in that place. I think what sets it apart is that this is already in the territory of the monsters that attacked the camp.
