Chapter 13 Conquest of Dungeon IV

We continued to walk through the hall until we reached a large, dark room. I seem to know what room it is. It's almost similar to the room when me and Emilia fought the Executioner. There is a slight difference with the Executioner room, which is the presence of giant-sized flowers on the walls of this room.

“Master, this room..”.

I nodded my head and said, “I also remember him.”

“I don't understand what you're talking about. But I know this room is very dangerous,” Laura said.

“Laura get ready to fight, because this is the boss room.”

Laura used her Holly Protection on the three of us, she also used Nul Poison. The skill was useful to protect us from poison.

“Why use this skill?” ask Emilia.

“I saw some adventurers who were there exposed to some kind of poison. Therefore I use it just in case.”

It looks like Laura made a new friend, but now is not the time to be happy. We have to beat the bosses who are here and come back.

I heard something flapping wings coming from above us.When I looked up, there was a shadow flying down towards us. It was like he was going to attack us. We jumped right away when he was about to hit us.

He flew to the end of the room. A moment later the flowers in the room lit up so that the room became bright. The three of us were finally able to see the figure from the shadow that attacked us earlier. The creature was shaped like a woman with black butterfly wings and she carried whips in both her hands.

Boss Roxas

So your name is Roxas…

I'm sorry but we'll beat you in this place.

The fight began.

Emilia opened the attack by shooting her Blue Fire. He's after Roxas' wing to make him fly. But the attack I think is less effective, because Roxas is different from the other monsters we fought before in this dungeon. The defense he had was stronger.

Roxas is attacking us. I used Caleo to dodge his attack by jumping into the air. I tried to counter-attack Roxas on his back. But it just scratches him a little bit. He strikes back by knocking his whip at me. The attack made me fall to the floor.

 “Master!!”

“Ciel!!”

“I'm fine.”

I tried to get up but my body felt very heavy, besides that my head also hurt and my vision became blurred. Her weapon may contain poison according to what Laura said. It's critical…

I saw Emilia launch a melee attack using a masamune that was already coated with Blue Fire. If he is also attacked, this makes our position even more difficult. At least Emilia cannot be hit by poison or we lack combat power.

“Emilia, be careful with the whip. It's toxic.”

“Good master.”

Emilia was more agile than me so dodging the whip attack was an easy matter for her. Emilia attacked while dodging the attack from the whip.

I must take an antidote to remove the effects of this poison and help Emilia immediately. It was fortunate that Laura had already used Nul Poison so the effects were not too severe.

“You okay Ciel?” ask Laura.

“I'm fine.”

“It's okay. Instead I thank you for your skill that reduces the poison effect. Now you concentrate on helping Emilia.”

“Good.”

Laura uses Holly Ray's skills to help Emilia. The skill shot out light, similar to a laser shot. I then took the antidote from my bag and drank it. My body is recovering again.

I then used Caleo and went to help Emilia and Laura. Roxas flew up when I got close to him. He knew he was going to be attacked from both directions. In the air he spread out his wings and shot a needle. Laura used the Holly Barrier skill to protect us from the attack.

“We have to drop it if we want to stop this attack,” Laura said.

“Good. Emilia, can your clone use the skill?”

“No. But if I use Blue Fire on masamune then when it appears they will use masamune with fire.”

“We will attack him using that.”

“There is one more master problem. I didn't expect it.”

“Just calm down, leave it to me.”

“I can't hold it much longer.” said Laura.

Emilia used the Blue Fire skill on the masamune. Then he used the Mirror Image skill to take out some of his clones. I used Caleo to make a foothold for Emilia's clone. They immediately jumped up and attacked Roxas. Some of the clones disappeared under Roxas's attack, but they became shields for others to reach Roxas.

They managed to attack and make the wings belonging to Roxas burned so that he fell. This is my chance to attack. This time I'm aiming for those two whips so he can't use them anymore. The whip was enough to make us hassles too.

I ran closer before he stood up. When I cut off both of his whips, he attacked me using his feet. I didn't think he could fight with his feet. Compared to the Executioner, his attacks were faster but not too powerful. So he was really relying on his poison.

Emilia also came to help me fight him. Meanwhile Laura continued to prepare skills to support our attack. What if one of his supporting skills to us runs out he immediately gives it again. He's a great support. The accuracy of the skill usage is very good.

After a while we attacked each other, Emilia and I managed to get her seriously injured. Stay a little more, but maybe after this he will enter the rage mode or rampage mode because he is dying. Sure enough Roxas jumped back away from me and Emilia.

He's in rage mode. His body turned red and his burnt wings disappeared. New wings appear in the form of purple smoke. It must have contained poison as well.

“Be careful that wing may contain poison.”

“Good Master.”

“I understand.”

A few moments later his speed increased drastically. Suddenly he was near me and Emilia. We didn't survive and we were hit with a direct attack. The attack sent me and Emilia bouncing away. This was insane, his attack was very different from the previous one.

I saw him approaching Laura. It's critical Laura can't accept a melee attack. I need to get there to help him. I used Caleo and jumped straight towards Roxas. Laura uses the Holly Barrier to withstand Roxas's attack. When Laura's barrier was almost destroyed, I managed to get there and attack Roxas.

Roxas seemed to be flying again, but Emilia and her clone attacked first. Roxas appears to have trouble dealing with Emilia's attacks. Laura also helped Emilia use Holly Ray. That makes Roxas even more desperate.

Then I combined Gladio and advanced to attack Roxas. The three of us continued to attack Roxas. He could not attack because Emilia's clone was blocking him.

“Live a little more,” said the already exhausted Laura.

“Iya,” says Emilia.

“Strong continue!” 

Emilia's attack cuts off both of her hands and Laura prevents her from escaping. Until I finally broke through his chest. He fell right when my Gladio came back to 2. Finally finished this fight.

Laura was sitting on the floor, she used a lot of skills with a fast tempo of attack. Emilia also looked exhausted using her clone skill.
