Chapter 47 Refugee

We got out of the royal dungeon and arrived at the throne room of the king. The room was so messy. The royal flag on the wall of the room was torn. Same with the carpet.

I looked through one of the broken windows. Outside I saw a puff of smoke from the houses and also heard screams.

“Emilia, Laura come here and take a look.”

They both walked to my place. When they looked out, they were also surprised by what they were looking at. Laura was sitting on the floor.

“What the fuck is this?” said Laura. He also shed tears.

We don't know what's happened since we left. I tried to look through another window and it was the same. The whole town was destroyed.

Emilia hugged Laura and rubbed her hair. Emilia had seen the same thing happen to her town before, so she knew what Laura felt.

“Let's get out of here and find out what caused it,” I said.

“Good master,” replied Emilia.

We got out of the throne room and headed straight for the palace grounds. Just now we opened the door of that space, in front of him already waiting for some demon army. There are 3 of them.

As soon as they saw the three of us, they attacked immediately. Emilia swiftly managed to defeat them.

I instantly activated Luminatio, Gladio, and also Umbra to fight. Emilia also coated her sword with Blue Fire.

“If they are here, it means that the demon army has already taken control of the capital right?” ask Laura.

“Maybe.”

I hope what Laura said didn't happen. We continued to run towards the palace grounds as quickly as possible.

On our way too, several demon armies appeared and attacked the three of us. But for us it is not a meaningful problem.

A few moments later, we reached the palace grounds. There we were confronted by a large army of demons.

I called my dragon to help the three of us. As much as possible I don't want us to fight too much because we don't know the circumstances outside.

Their attack on us started by shooting some fireballs at us. Laura protected us by using her Holy Protection.

Then I responded to their attack earlier by using the Luminatio Union. The attack left their front lines destroyed.

When they started to want to do close combat, Me and Emilia advanced against them.  While my dragon helps from the air with Laura.

The demon army we are facing right now is weaker I think or maybe we are getting stronger. We didn't have any significant difficulties against them. In just 10 minutes we were able to defeat the demon army that was in the palace grounds.

Some soldiers were trying to protect the people under attack. But they were no match for that demonic army.

“We help them. Emilia and I will help the fight, Laura treat those who are injured and do not get off the dragon,” I said.

“Good,” says Emilia and Laura together.

We began to move to help the residents and also the soldiers who were in front of the palace.

I told one of the soldiers to take the inhabitants out of the city. He then told his friends to take the residents out.

Emilia and I escorted the residents to the city gate. On the way we asked about what happened.

One of the soldiers said that 2 days ago, the demon army came out from inside the palace and started attacking the residents. Many have died. The survivors are hiding underground.

Then yesterday the king sent a message to some of the nobles to bring the residents out of here immediately.

The residents living near the city gates were already displaced yesterday. Those who live in the middle of the city can only today, even then still blocked by the demon army.

I understand their situation. I also tried to calm down when I heard that the king and his army had reached the capital.

While escorting them, I tried to digest what happened and the matter of time when we were inside the Royal Dungeon.

The three of us knew that we were in the Royal Dungeon for 1 day. But when we came out it was already 1 week.

Emilia and Laura also told me about this, they both tried to remain calm in this condition. On the other hand, we also felt guilty for leaving the city.

Some residents began to join our group. I don't know if this is all, but I hope it is.

Demon troops continued to attack from all directions to prevent us from escaping the capital. I used the Umbra Union to protect the residents.

This skill made my shadow grow so that it could protect the residents. Every approaching demon army was instantly pierced by my shadow.

When we arrived near the gate, I told the soldiers to take the inhabitants away. I will also send my dragon to protect them. 

While the three of us will stay in the capital in search of survivors. If in 3 days we don't go out, just attack the capital.

The soldier was reluctant to leave us. But because there was no other choice he was forced to obey our wishes.

“Sorry, we can't leave town yet.”

Many demon troops are trying to chase the residents who have come out of the city. The three of us are ready to face them.

Emilia prepared her shadow and Laura also used the supporting skill on us.I will use Ignis Grando for the first time.

When they were close, I immediately activated my skill. The attack that came out was that the entire air temperature around became so cold that it froze the demon army. The air then becomes hot and causes an explosion.

The explosion destroyed a very large area surrounding me. Even outside the walls of the capital.
