Chapter 68 The State of Emergency

The king and queen were thinking about something.

“I still can't believe that Zen can lose to the demon army. He can even fight 100 elite troops alone,” said the king.

“Emilia, actually what kind of demon attacked your village and how many?” ask queen.

“Not much. Only 1 demon, namely a two-headed dragon and some of his troops,” replied Emilia.  

Emilia said that her father and mother managed to defeat the demon army with the help of the residents. But once the dragon appeared, everything turned into a sea of fire.

Only the dragon was left, yet only he himself destroyed the village and killed its inhabitants. 

“If it is a dragon, it is indeed impossible,” said the king.

Until now, in Sakura Empire only a few times against dragons. It also had to combine military and adventurous forces. Zen was also once but with the help of kingdoms and adventurers.

After that, we left the room. When we came out, a servant came and whispered something to the king. 

“Get together the higher-ups immediately,” said the king.

“Good noble.”

Looks like there's a serious problem. For now we don't need to interfere before knowing the situation. The four of us walked out of the palace. Yuna who saw us had finished delivering up to the inn.

While on the road, I saw countless soldiers walking there to here. More than yesterday. There's something really important going on and I hope it has nothing to do with our conversation.

In my room and Emilia, we held an emergency meeting to discuss the most important matter for now.

“Yes. We already know,” said Laura.

Emilia, Laura, and Charlote agreed. Then we went to the guild to take the mission.

But looking at this, there was something strange. Everyone doesn't believe Liden declared war. 

Unable to take the mission, we decided to return to the inn. On the way, we met Yuna and the others. Yuna wants to talk to us about something. Since our room was narrow, we ended up following Yuna to the palace.

In the palace many officials and soldiers passed by. This must have been because of that declaration of war that caused quite a commotion. There were even some heavy weapons prepared.

Yuna and the others just kept silent saying nothing. More precisely they do not want to talk about it here.
