Chapter 59 Giant Boss

After we ate, we slept. Charlote and I got first guard. Me, Emilia, and Laura also wanted to give a lesson about the adventurous life within the dungeon.

"Are you okay, Charlote?" my many.

I'm a little worried because Charlote hasn't taken care of the night before.

"I'm okay, brother. Thank you for worrying about me."

Then Charlote recounted her life while in the palace and also when she levelled up with her guards. He often smiled when he told about his adventure. But because she was a princess, the king and queen forbade her to go far from the city.

Sometimes when he told his adventurer to the king and queen, the two of them always looked anxious. I understand that. The king and queen were worried about Charlote as her parents.

He then asked me about glyphs. I only answer with what I know.

"So Brother Ciel can't use any weapons now?"

"Yes. Because all my weapons are in the glyphs I have."

"His name has a special skill" Charlote said.

We kept chatting until we changed shifts at night. This Charlote really likes to tell stories and listen to stories as well. He looked very happy when I told the first dungeon boss that I and Emilia were fighting.

"Ciel's awake. The conquering forces have already begun to move," Laura said.

I immediately got up and helped Emilia who was packing. Laura and Charlote are tasked with overseeing the movement of the conquering forces and following them.

After a while, the four of us came out of the flower garden. The next area was a hallway again, but with some paintings attached to its walls.

We continue to follow the conquering forces while fighting some giants to raise Charlote's level. The giant in this area was still the same as the previous area. They were still wearing armor and carrying broken weapons.

This area is not a significant issue for the four of us. It was just that the number of giants that appeared was more than before.

"Charlote, now do you want to go ahead or retreat? The next area is likely to be even heavier" asked Laura.

"I want to continue in order to be able to bloom my level," replied Charlote excitedly.

"All right then. But if you want to stop or step back, just say it right away" I said.

"Good brother."

In accordance with Charlote's wishes, we continued our exploration inside this gigantic dungeon. Sure enough in the next area we could already find not only the corpses of the giants but also the corpses of the fallen adventurers.

"It looks like the giants in this area are upper class. Maybe a monster with a B or A rank," Laura said.

"Then, the one we fought before was of what rank?" ask Charlote curiously.

"They're only at C level. The previous giants were weaker than Goblin Lord and also Orc General ranked B," Laura explained.

"That means we have to be more careful than before" Emilia said.

I looked at Charlote and asked, "Do you still want to continue after seeing and hearing this Charlote?"

He seems to start doubting. It seemed that he was scared after seeing the corpses of these fallen adventurers. His hands were trembling and his face turned pale. He then sat on the floor.

Different from the events at the palace, this time he must be ready to face the risks of this trip. Laura tried to calm down the frightened Charlote and did not answer me.

Emilia and I went around the area to make sure there were no giants here. The two of us also found a few more bodies of adventurers while we were going around.

When we returned to Laura's place, Charlote seemed to have calmed down.

The giants in this area have finally appeared against us. Like the corpses, they wore good armor and weapons and had blue skin.

Charlote's magic attacks missed the target several times. It seemed like he was still afraid because he remembered the previous events.

Emilia and I helped Charlote defeat the giants who were not attacked by Charlote. After fighting for quite a while we finally finished and moved on to the next area.

The next area was a very spacious room and there was also a giant-sized door at the end of the room.

"Master, don't-don't that door..," Emilia said as she pointed at the giant door.

"Yes. It seemed like it was the door to the boss of this dungeon."

"So we're going to fight the boss of this dungeon?" ask Laura.

"It's not necessary. Our only goal is to help Charlote catch up on the level," I replied.

As we were about to turn around to return to the city, there was the sound of screaming from behind the giant door. In addition, we can also hear the sound of the fight that is going on.

The giant door was shattered and several adventurers were also thrown out from within the boss' room. Then a red-colored giant figure walked out. He wore a crown on his head and carried an axe.

But he did not wear any armor on his body. Some adventurers attempted to attack the giant but had no effect at all.
