Chapter 36 Towards the Capital

The day after the party I invited Emilia and Laura to discuss our next destination. I also told them about 3 demon generals besides Regyus.

“Where did you get that information?” ask Laura.

“Regyus says it.”

“But master, can we trust his words?” ask Emilia.

I saw Laura and she also seemed to want to ask the same thing as Emilia.

“I am not too sure to believe either, but this is the only information we have regarding the higher-ups of the demon army.”

After that we were silent for a while. Laura started talking again.

“Then, for a while we also go to the capital Ellis only. There is a possibility there we will also fight the demon army back.”

“But why did the devil attack there?” ask Emilia.

“I also felt that they were going there. After they cannot defeat this city, their next destination must be the capital to accelerate the conquest of this kingdom,” I said.

“You feel that too Ciel? But if I feel like they're going after Evan there.”

“So there is that possibility as well. Laura how far is it from here to the capital?” ask Emilia.

“About 2 days on foot,” Laura replied.

“Master we'd better get there first. We also do not know when they will be there and also how they get there,” Emilia said with a serious face. 

I feel that Emilia's words are true as well. We have no information on how they got there and also I wonder if they teleported.

I once saw the distance from the demon lord territory to Ellis was very far even to this city. If it was true that they were using teleportas then, the demon army could come at any time.

Now there are 2 options for us to go to the capital or stay here until Evan leaves. There are 2 possibilities they attacked in our opinion and one of them is Evan. We also know that Evan will be leaving in 2 days.

It's a tough choice. I know Evan and the others are not ready to fight the demon general for now. They should have entered a dungeon and conquered it first or at least fought the guardian.

“What is the decision now? If we leave today, tomorrow we reach the capital,” I said.

“I will remain in this city. I'm going to the capital together with Evan. In addition, Luna will also accompany Evan and his group to the capital,” Laura replied.

“Then I will go to the capital. We'll meet there later. Emilia, how about you?”

After that Emilia and I prepared our needs for the trip.  In the afternoon, Emilia and I left. Alura led us to the city gate.

Then me and Emilia went towards the capital. We walked until we could not be seen from the city of Tron. We did it so no one would know we were using Caleo for our trip.

When it was evening we rested and set up a tent.

“Master, can I take care of you first?” ask Emilia.

“Sure. You don't usually take care of it first. What's up?” manya curious.

This was the first time for Emilia to watch the night of her first turn. I feel like he's nervous.

“No. It's just that when fighting Regyus, I didn't do anything to help.”

“Emilia, I have no problem with yesterday's incident. It's a 1-on-1 duel, so you don't have to think about it.”

“Not that. Yesterday for the first time I felt like I was going to lose someone precious again,” Emilia said.

Emilia started crying. He was worried that I would leave him.

Emilia nodded and said,”Really?”

After that Emilia asked me to sleep first. When it was my turn to watch, Emilia woke me up and now it was her turn to sleep.

After the day had started to light we both continued our journey towards the capital.

On the way we both heard the voice of someone asking for help. Me and Emilia then immediately went towards the source of the sound.

When we arrived, we saw two children being surrounded by several people. Those people seemed to be a bandit group in action.

I directly used Arcus to attack them. Emilia also advanced, but she did not use her sword at all. He fought with his bare hands.

A little while later, we both managed to defeat those bandits. The bandits that were defeated earlier then we tied up.

“You two are okay?” my many.

“Iya. Thank you for saving us. Introduce my name Charles and this is my little sister Charlote.”

“Sama-sama. I'm Ciel and this is my friend Emilia.”

The clothes they wear look expensive. Maybe they were both the children of a noble or a rich merchant I thought.

“Why did you get attacked by bandits?” ask Emilia.

“Actually we were kidnapped by them from the capital. When they rested me and Charlote tried to escape but were caught back.”

“Capital? We're heading there too. How about we take you two?”

The two of them stared at each other and then nodded their heads.

“Good. Please help,” said Charles.

I then carried Charles and Emilia in Charlote's arms. They both looked panicked when we were carrying.

“Just relax,” I said while activating Caleo.

Then we immediately moved towards the capital. Maybe we'll get there in the afternoon, because of that little problem.

I saw them both freaked out when we slid off using Caleo. This is only natural, Laura and Mia used to be the same when they first used it.

As expected we arrived in the capital in the afternoon. In front of the city I saw some people gathering. Looking at the clothes they were wearing, it seemed like they were soldiers.

When we were about to enter the capital, those soldiers pointed their weapons at us. Of course Emilia and I were surprised. We don't know what really happened and the reason they pointed their guns at us.
