Chapter 31 The Invasion of the Devil 2

At night, the demon army again attacked the city. As I expected they brought more and stronger troops.

They even controlled the city gates. The adventurers as well as the elven army were no match for them.

Emilia and I were in charge of helping Laura who was in charge of treating the wounded. The longer the number of injured people increases.

While we were busy helping the wounded, a messenger came and asked us to retreat as the enemy force was nearing our place.

"What happened to Evan's hero and his group?" ask the messenger.

"They were tasked with slowing down the pace of the devil until help from the capital came."

I turned towards Emilia and said, "It's free. The number of victims will increase. We're advancing Emilia. Call Laura too."

"Ready Master."

The messenger asked me, "Kalia is only C rank, what are you going to do?"

"We'll make the enemy troops retreat."

"Impossible."

Then I left the place with Emilia and Laura.

"So what's our plan?" ask Laura.

"Destroy the enemy."

"That's it?" ask Laura.

"As a master usually."

I saw adventurers and an army of elves who were overwhelmed in the face of this invasion. The demon army also brought many giants to attack, so it was no wonder that the adventurers and elves were unable to resist.

For starters I use the Arcus Union and the Ignis Union. The attack instantly left the giant army many dead. Then I changed to Gladio mode for close combat.

Emilia also caught up with me. Laura was behind to provide support.

Since getting into battle, I haven't seen Evan and the others. I think maybe they're in another part of this battle.

I face the remaining giant army and Emilia against the other demon army. The giant's movements were extremely slow, but its power was enough to destroy a building.

I also added Ignis to Gladio to reinforce the attack. Some of the giants I managed to subvert. While the others did not dare to approach me.

"If you don't advance, then I will advance."

The demon army also had a witch among them. They attacked from the rear of the attacking army. Emilia used her Blue Fire to destroy them.

The remaining elf army helped Emilia to fight against the demonic army that was approaching her.

Laura also continued to advance along with several adventurers including with Luna.

"They are both very strong" said Luna.

"Sister has said. Black Dragon is not their opponent."

"Black Dragon?"

"Forget it."

They continue the fight. Luna stayed close to Laura to take care of her. He knew that if we lost Laura, then our support power would be reduced.

But I think personally it's true. Laura had also once defeated Black Dragon and obtained a special skill from him. If we lose Laura, then it's the same as losing 30% of the supporting power.

While I was fighting against the giant army, there was an explosion from my right side. I looked towards the source of the explosion and it was Evan and his group who were being surrounded.

"Emilia! Go to the explosion and help them!"

"Good master."

Emilia ran to where Evan and the others were. I actually wanted to use Exitium but here a lot of people are looking.

"alright. Careful Ciel. Leave the one here to me."

"thank you. You're careful too."

I advanced through using Caleo, so that I could move through the air. Some demon army tried to block me, but it couldn't because of Caleo's speed.

At Evan's place, Emilia managed to force the demon army to retreat. I heard cheers from that place. Then Emilia headed to Laura and Luna's place.

I'll be at the city gate soon. The number of enemies in this place is increasing. When I got close, a giant spear shot towards me. I managed to avoid it.

"Great as well as you are human," there was a terrible sound from where the spear was hurtling.

When I looked over there, I saw a large tall figure. He was wearing black armor with a red robe. From the helmet he was wearing looks red eyes.

I attacked him directly using Gladio. He held him up with a shield. When we clashed with each other, the ground that was on its footing was destroyed by the pressure. I myself did not expect that my strength had increased to this extent. Perhaps it was because of the Dragon Force skill that increased physical strength as well as magic.

"I didn't think you could push me like this human. You're pretty strong too."

I then jumped back, because I saw he was going to attack.

"My name is Regyus, one of the generals of this demon army. What's your name human?"

"Ciel."

"I challenge you to a duel Ciel."

Regyus then took out a sword from his shadow. The sword was quite large and long. Probably the equivalent of Gladio Union.

"No one gets involved!" he said to the demon army.

Regyus then disappeared and appeared right above me. He pulled his sword at me. I avoided it by rolling over to the side. Its might was indeed large so that its attack could destroy the ground.

I shot some Ignis to see if he had any magic attacks and it didn't really work. I think maybe because of the armor.

Regyus slid towards me and slashed his sword horizontally. I managed to dodge it, but the attack scratched my left arm. Although not directly affected, but the anginya alone can hurt me.

Now it's my turn to strike back. I attacked in succession. Regyus held him down using a shield, but he didn't have a chance to retaliate, because of my speed.

After a few strikes the shield was destroyed.

"What?"

"Now you're finished!!" my yelling.

Regyus repelled my attack with his sword. He then tried to throw me but I used Caleo to push myself.

Regyus's attack to throw me on hold. We clashed with each other until Regyus' sword broke. He then kicked me to the ground, because I wasn't ready.

I switched to Arcus and Ignis. A few shots I fired and hit the troops behind Regyus. They instantly burned to death like the Black Dragon.

Regyus who saw it signaled his army to retreat.

"We'll back off this time. Thank you for comforting me."

"What's? Just like this?"

"We don't want to lose any more troops at this time. You were the one who summoned the dragon, right?"

"How did you know?"

"Looking at all the adventurers and elves who are here, there is no one more stupid and powerful like you. Who came to attack me."

"I didn't have any plans against you at first. I just want to summon that dragon again to push your troops back. But you attacked first. So I don't want to have to fight you."

"Like that? Then I'll go first. We'll be back later."

He then went with his team. The troops that Emilia, Laura, and the others were fighting were also retreating.
