Chapter 33 Ciel vs Regyus

After that, I took Emilia and Laura to the collapsed city gate. I didn't tell you why we went to the city gate. Besides the three of us Luna and her group also wanted to come with us.

I didn't use Exitium first because of the cooldown time. Besides if I use it now and there are enemies left quite dangerous.

Laura activated her Divine Protection to protect the three of us. I used Gladio and Ignis. While Emilia used two swords with Blue Fire.

It seems like the elves and adventurers did not know that the demon army was attacking. It's really great 3 guys against thousands.

I knew that if she won the city would definitely be destroyed, even though there was still a chance for Emilia and Laura to defeat her.

Regyus took out his shadow. But this time it was different, the sword was larger and purple in color. He's stronger than yesterday.

Without further ado Regyus begins his attack. He jumped at me and attacked using his sword. I choose to avoid it rather than hold it. In return I used the Gladio Union to counterattack.

The resulting attack was powerful but also slow. Regyus held back with his sword. I shot some Ignis in addition, but Regyus jumped back so my attack hit the ground.

He then stuck his sword into the ground and let out a wave of shadows towards me. I jumped up and used Caleo to head towards him.

From a short distance I shot Ignis Union in the face. There was an explosion that made me and Regyus bounce away from each other.

As I stood up, I looked towards Regyus. He was alive, but the helmet he was wearing was destroyed. Now I can see his face. Gray skin with long white hair and bright red eyes.

This is my chance to attack using Arcus Ignis to his head that is not wearing a helmet. When I shot, he deflected using his sword.

The helmet was back in one piece and covered his head. I lost the chance to finish him off. Regyus stood up and prepared to attack.

I find this harder than fighting the Black Dragon or the boss dungeon. But I don't know for sure what caused it. But I feel that the cause is because this is a 1 on 1 fight. Previously I was helped by Emilia and Laura, but this time I was alone.

Regyus came towards me. This time I resisted his attack. Gladio belongs to me and his sword fights against each other. Then we clashed with each other at attack speed. I just found out that he can also use quick attacks.

I was in an unfortunate position. His armor always regenerated when it was open, whereas I was instantly injured. His attacks are getting stronger and stronger.

Regyus and I launched an attack at full force at the same time. His sword and my Gladio are fighting each other with endurance.

Regyus' sword is broken. I then focused the attack on Regyus' chest until I managed to destroy his armor.

I stabbed Regyus in the heart with Gladio Ignis. He will definitely die with this attack.

After saying that he died. This way the demon army will retreat from this city or at least that's what I think. But apparently they did not immediately move to attack the city.

A magic circle appeared above my head. From the magic circle came a dragon and shot fire towards the demon army until it was reduced by 75%. Out of fear, those remaining chose to retreat.

Emilia and Laura came to my place a while later.

“Master, the elven troops and adventurers saw your battle just now,” Emilia said as she pointed at the city gate.

I looked there and there were already many people at the gate. Luna was there too.

“This is bad,” I said.

“Why master?”

“I guess they won't come, but..”.

“They came because they heard the sound of the explosion earlier,” Laura said.

This makes us unable to move in secret anymore. It should have been Evan or Rafael instead of me. But how else, if I don't advance the city will be destroyed.
