Chapter 66 The Emilia Family 1

In the morning, before going to the palace, I, Emilia, Laura, and Charlote had breakfast first. Ever since we got home from last night's show, no one has discussed the matter. It was as if everyone chose silence so as not to offend Emilia's past.

Amidst the silence, Emilia said she was okay. We need not hesitate to ask questions or talk like before.

“I myself do not know the relationship I have or my parents have with the royal family here, so you guys take it easy.”

That's what he said with a smile. Even so, the look from the look on his face showed anxiety since yesterday.

After breakfast, we returned to the inn and waited for Yuna to pick up.

In front of the door of my room and Emilia, Emilia suddenly clasped my hand.

“What's Emilia?” many confused.

“Sorry to make the master and the others worried, there is actually something I want to say to the master,” Emilia said softly.

Laura and Charlote understood that Emilia wanted to talk to me in private. So they both went into their rooms

Emilia took a deep breath.

“Master, if I am later a noble or royal family, can I remain on the side of the master?”

“If it is, do you want to come with me there?”

Emilia smiled. 

Actually, I could vaguely sense that Laura and Charlote were eavesdropping on our conversation.

A few moments later Yuna came to pick us up. Though enough to walk, but they came to pick up using a horse carriage. 

Arriving at the palace, we were all taken to the king and queen's room. The room used is not a throne room but a private room of the royal family.

Given the topic to be discussed this time is a personal family issue, this is the right choice. In addition, Yuna said that the king and queen vacated their schedule today to discuss the matter of Emilia.

“Excuse me your honor, I brought guests,” Yuna said.

“Please enter.”

In that room there was only a king and a queen. The prince and princess are not seen here.

“Thank you Yuna,” said queen.

“Sama-sama. Then we will go to practice,” Yuna replied.

So Yuna and the others did not participate in this conversation. It seems like this is really a personal matter of the royal family.

“You all please sit down,” says the king.

“Thank you.”

I then told her how we met. It started with when I bought Emilia at the slave market. Until he accompanied my journey. 

I didn't tell you about our meeting with Rinoa or about the power we had during the trip. 

“So it is like that huh. It's really heavy for you,” said the queen as she looked at Emilia sadly.

“It doesn't matter your honor. I feel lucky to meet the master. Otherwise, I don't know what will happen to me at this time,” replied Emilia.

Emilia said that before she met me, she had never been bought. A lot of people don't like him because he's different from other werewolves. 

It indicates that they know nothing. When she first met, Emilia was also sick. Maybe they thought that it would be a waste of money when buying Emilia.

“Emilia, how can you be a slave?”

Emilia said she lived with her parents in a village until she was 14. The village is beautiful and peaceful. 

But everything was destroyed when the demon army attacked. Both of Emilia's parents sacrificed themselves to save Emilia and several other children.

The survivors scattered to various places. Emilia with a friend who is a human half-cat went together. Emilia's friend's name is Tamaki.

Emilia and Tamaki go to several cities to find a place to stay. Eventually they reached a village.

In this village they meet again with people from the villages of Emilia and Tamaki. Most of them live in this village.

The environment and scenery were the same as their previous village. As well as the friendly residents, making them choose to settle in the village.

That was what Emilia and the others thought. A new residence similar to their previous village.

Their lives went back to normal as usual. It had lasted for half a year since Emilia and Tamaki arrived.

But a few moments later, the strangeness happened. Some villagers mysteriously disappear at night. In the morning they were found lifeless.

This caused a stir among the villagers. For a week the villagers disappeared and were found dead. The problem is that the victims are the immigrants.

Emilia and Tamaki who do not want their new lives destroyed are back trying to find out the cause. For a week, they both did not sleep. But the result is nil.

But, on the eighth day, Tamaki saw that there were several people entering one of the houses of the residents who were immigrants. They wear black robes and skull masks.

Tamaki immediately called Emilia. Then they followed the men until they arrived near a cave. 

Before the mysterious people enter, Emilia and Tamaki immediately run to save the kidnapped person. There was a bit of a fight, but luckily Emilia and Tamaki had practiced sword arts.

After successfully subverting the kidnappers, out of curiosity Tamaki unmasked them. 

“Emilia, they're this..” said Tamaki.

The kidnappers were apparently villagers. Emilia asked one of them who was still conscious.

“Why are you doing this?”

“This is for the show on the twins..”.

After saying that, on the person's skin appeared strange writing. A few moments later the man was dead. Emilia and Tamaki find out that it's a curse.

Emilia, Tamaki, and the villagers they saved immediately returned to the village to tell the others. But from a distance, there was a high smoke coming from the village.

When they arrived, they saw the village being attacked by Tornian troops. Some were killed but others were arrested. Emilia and Tamaki immediately ran away from the village. While the residents they saved were caught while trying to escape.

On their escape, Emilia and Tamaki meet Tornia's forces. Tamaki manages to escape, but Emilia is caught due to ice magic.

Emilia and the captured residents were taken to the capital. Here Emilia and the others are in trial. The natives were sentenced to death, while the settlers were made slaves.

Although Emilia and the others said that they were also victims, the kingdom did not care about it. 

This was how Emilia could become a slave. Emilia also said that all this time she still remembered Tamaki.
