Chapter 11's

The match between Seirin and Shutoku begins. Izuki passes the ball to Kuroko and is passed again by Kuroko to Kagami. After receiving Kuroko's pass, Kagami immediately dunked. But, his efforts are thwarted by Midorima.

Both teams continue to defend and attack to be able to score first and lead the first quarter. After Midorima scored first. Soon Kuroko passed the ball from one side of the field to the other, then Kagami received his pass and dunked.

To face Kuroko, the coach of the Shutoku team changes his team's formation.

'Wawat! How's this?!' Inner Rei.

"What are you planning?" Ask Kagami. "No matter how fast Takao is, it's not a problem for Kuroko."

"I already know very well Kuroko's abilities. You'll understand soon, too." Midorima.

Takao manages to snatch the ball that was passed to Kuroko. Then pass it on to his team members so Shutoku manages to score again.

"Well, this is the first time I've ever felt like defeating someone, but maybe, it's because there's something different about you." Takao.

"sorry. It's the first time anyone has said anything like that to me, so I'm confused what to say." Kuroko.

"Eh?" Said Takao who did not understand.

"But I think I have the same feelings as you." Kuroko.

"Good, like we're both ready." Takao said and Kuroko disappeared somewhere.

"Wait first! Where's your manners if you suddenly disappear like that?!" Said the irritated Takao. Takao then grinned

As Kuroko is about to pass the ball to Hyuga, Takao manages to stop her.

'How's this? Things get more complicated?' Restless Rei's inner self.

Rei then approached Riko.

"Coach, we need time out." Rei Said. Riko nodded and asked for a time out.

"Hey, don't tell me you're gonna keep letting them stop you." Said Kagami while gripping Kuroko's head.

"I don't want to either." Kuroko.

"Good spirit!" Kagami. "Coach! Please let us keep playing like this. Please."

"Like this?" Riko. "But your misdirection is useless on Takao, right? Is it gonna be okay?"

"It won't be okay. That'll make it hard." Kuroko.

"Yes, you're right. Actually, what are you gonna do?" Tanya Riko was suspicious.

"Then I hand over Takao to you." Kagami.

"Good" Kuroko said.

Both teams then returned to the field to continue the match. Midorima did a long-range shoot from the far end of the field. Not really, the first quarter is done.

Seirin's team who saw Midorima's shot earlier looked very shocked because she managed to shoot from the other end of the field. They're confused about how to stop Midorima.

The second quarter begins. Kuroko is blocking Midorima.

"You think you can stop me?" Midorima said and passed through Kuroko. As Kuroko is about to steal the ball from Midorima, Takao stops her.

"It's not polite to do such a thing." Takao.

'As long as there's still Takao, they can't do anything.' Inner Rei was getting anxious.

I don't think the second quarter is finished. Seirin was left far away from Shutoku. The two are gathered in the dressing room. In Seirin's dressing room, everything looked glum.

'Nobody is talking. How'this? At least I have to say something to encourage them. What am I supposed to say?' Inner Riko.

While Rei is seen giving footage of the first round match to Kuroko. Kuroko watched the tape carefully.

"What are you doing, Kuroko?" Ask Izuki.

"I was watching a recording of Takao during the first half." Kuroko.

"Do you have a way to fight it?" Ask Izuki.

"Let's see, I always thought that I wanted to win. But, I never thought about whether I could win or not." Kuroko.

Kuroko and the rest of the team get their spirit back from Rei's words. They decided to turn things around in the second half.

The third quarter begins. Kuroko was replaced by Koganei. Kagami keeps trying to stop Midorima, the jump gets higher and higher. Almost he managed to make a shot Midorima misses, but the ball still goes into the ring.

Kagami tries to stop Midorima. This time, he managed to block the Midorima shoot. All who saw him no one believed, and looked in amazement.

Thanks to Kagami, Seirin managed to catch up. As Midorima was about to shoot back, Kagami did not manage to stop him due to fatigue from making a continuous jump.

'He's exhausted...' Inner Rei. 'Besides, it wasn't just Kagami who was exhausted. But they're all too.'

Kagami then counterattacks alone without thinking. However, he still failed to score. The third quarter is finished.

"Damn!" Upset Kagami.

"Kagami, you're in too much of a hurry. Look around you!" Izuki.

"That's right. You should have passed the ball first." Hyuga.

"What if I don't pass the ball first. The only one who can keep up with Shutoku now is me. What we need now is not teamwork. But I scored the numbers." Kagami.

"What did you say?!" Said Rei who was provoked by his emotions when he heard Kagami's words. "Basketball is not a game done alone!"

"Do you not care if you lose, as long as everyone has tried together?! Losing would mean nothing, right?!" Kagami.

"When you play alone, it means nothing, right?! You're the same as them. I'm disappointed in you." Rei said and left.

"What does a victory mean? If no one is happy, it is not a victory!" Kuroko.

"That's right, doesn't mean we want to lose!" Koganei.

"We just want to say that you don't have to do everything yourself." Izuki.

"Then, do you still have any objections?" Ask Hyuga.

"none...But..." Kagami. "Sorry, of course I'd rather we win with joy."

"Sorry, all I can do is pass the ball. But, I can raise it to a higher level." Kuroko.

In the toilet, Rei was worried about the state of Seirin's team right now. After coming out of the toilet he did not return to the bench, but he watched from the top of the audience bench who happened to be empty.

'When I used to watch school basketball, it didn't feel like this. It feels so different. Especially when I'm sitting on the bench, it feels so amazing.' Inner Rei. He then looked straight at Seirin's team bench.

On the bench

"The new Kuroko-kun Pass?" Riko.

"Why didn't you use it earlier?" Ask Hyuga.

"Because only a few can catch him. But, the present Kagami-kun might be able to catch him. But, we can't just rely on pass to Kagami-kun until the match is over. I should also be able to escape from Takao-kun's guard and also use the regular pass." Kuroko.

"I think that problem can be solved as well. My eyes are on the threshold too." Izuki.

"What do you mean?" Koganei asked did not understand.

The fourth quarter begins. In this quarter Kagami did not attack alone like before.

'Finally he realized.' Inner Rei when seeing the game Kagami.

Kuroko successfully faces the hawk eye ability that Takao has. In addition, Kuroko also adds speed in passing the ball. Kagami also managed to defeat Midorima in this quarter. Seirin continued to catch up. Finally, Seirin won with a very thin number difference of 82-81. 

They all cheered happily. Rei who was watching from the spectator bench also revealed a smile.

'They won.' Inner Rei.

Rei returned to the dressing room to pick up his belongings before Seirin's team came and exited the stadium. Outside the stadium, he saw Midorima raining.

'He must be very sad to lose.' Inner Rei. He approached Midorima with an umbrella. He shares an umbrella with Midorima.

"You shouldn't be out in the rain like this. You can get sick." Rei Said.

"It's none of your business!" Midorima said cynically.

"That's none of my business, but I don't want you to be sick to Midorima-kun." Rei said with a smile.

Midorima's face met red upon seeing Rei's smile.

Not far from them, Seirin's team had just come out of the stadium and they had accidentally seen Midorima and Rei being together.

Realizing the circumstances of the two of them, Riko immediately invited them all away.
