Chapter 12's

Tim Seirin decided to eat at an okonomiyaki shop first before returning home. There, they meet Kise and Kasamatsu. Elsewhere, Takao, Midorima and Rei were walking home together without using umbrellas because the rain had stopped.

During the trip, only Takao kept talking and asked Rei about various kinds of things. Rei simply answered as he could.

"Let's eat there first!" Said Rei while showing an okonomiyaki shop.

The two of them simply agreed to Rei's request and walked into the tavern. At the tavern, the three of them meet Seirin's team as well as Kise and Kasamatsu.

"Oh, what a coincidence!" Rei said as if surprised, when he actually knew that they were all there.

As Midorima was about to leave, Rei immediately held him back.

"Do you want to go? If you leave then I'll consider you a coward." Rei Said.

Midorima then raised his glasses. "I don't care if you think I'm a coward, but I don't want to be considered a coward by anyone." Midorima.

'Tsundere is still tsundere, yes.' Inner Rei.

"Reicchi sit next to me!" Say Kise.

They finally sat together. Rei sits between Kuroko and Kise. In front of him were Kagami and Midorima. The atmosphere instantly became awkward between them.

"How about we order something? I'm hungry." Said Rei who was trying to melt the atmosphere.

"I'm full, so I don't think I'll order anything else." Say Kise.

"Excuse me! I want a message!" Kagami said to the waiter. The waiter immediately approached their table. "I ordered okonomiyaki squid, ham, ground meat, octopus, and kimchi." Said Kagami ordering his food.

"You ordered too much!" Said Kise and Midorima together. It also made Rei laugh. The faces of the four of them reddened as they looked at Rei who was laughing.

"It's okay. Kagami-kun will spend it alone." Rei said after stopping his laughter.

"Is he really human?" Say Kise.

Midorima continued to put on an unhappy face even after her order came.

"I know losing is disappointing, but come on! Yesterday's enemy was a friend today, right?" Say Kise.

"We just got beat a few hours ago! Besides, I can't believe you can sit down and have a casual chat with them. You've lost to them, haven't you?" Midorima.

"If it's about that, because I will definitely take revenge on them at Interhigh later." Said Kise while looking at Kagami and Kuroko. "Next I won't lose." And then again with a serious face.

"I won't lose either." Kagami.

"Kise, you seem to have changed a little." Midorima.

"really?" Say Kise.

"Your eyes ..look weird." Midorima.

"Any?" Kise said in shock.

'That's a new ability he has.' Inner Rei.

"It's not at all strange, I like it." Said Rei which made all of them speechless and looked towards him. Seeing them looking at him, Rei just blinked his cute eyes. "Why? Did I say it wrong?"

Without saying anything, they resumed their delayed meal. Suddenly an okonomiyaki flew into Midorima's head as a result of Takao's actions. Midorima was upset and stood up from his chair about to leave.

"Wait for Midorima-kun!" Said Rei who stood up from the chair and stopped Midorima.

"What else?" Said Midorima who looked annoyed.

Rei stepped on his tiptoes and cleaned Midorima's head with his handkerchief.

"Don't go first. You have to finish your food first, huh?" Rei said with a smile that made Midorima sit back on the chair.

"Kagami, let me tell you one thing. There are two Kiseki no Sandai players who attended school in Tokyo. Me, and a man named Aomine Daiki. You'll face him in the final league. And he's a player whose style of play is similar to yours." Midorima said after finishing his meal and was about to leave.

"He's strong. But, I don't like that guy's style of play." Said Kuroko with a serious face.

"Well, just fight as hard as you can." Midorima said after putting some money on the table and left.

"Midorima-kun, we'll fight again sometime, yes." Said Kuroko who stopped Midorima's steps.

"of course. Next I'll win." Midorima said, and he really left.

Kuroko smiled, and so did Rei. Not long after Midorima's departure, Seirin's team was already out of the tavern.

"Where's kuroko?" Said Hyuga who did not see Kuroko. Not long after, Kuroko returned with a dog.

"I'm sorry, I found this dog." Kuroko.

"Dogs?!" Say them simultaneously.

Riko who saw the dog immediately carried him.

"I think he looks like someone, huh?" Riko. He then notices the dog and Kuroko turns.

They named the dog Tetsuya Nigou. After Riko stopped carrying the nigou, nigou immediately approached Rei and played at his feet.

"His death..." Rei said then crouched down and stroked Nigou. She carried him, and Nigou licked his face. "Oaduhhh.it's ticklish." Said Rei whose face was licked by nigou.

"She seems to like you a lot." Hyuga.

While Kagami is hiding nearby because he does not want to get near Nigou.

"What are you doing, Kagami-kun?" Riko asks who noticed Kagami in hiding.

"I really can't stand dogs." Said Kagami with a pale face.

"Come on Kagami-kun, you have nothing to fear. She's so cute, isn't she?" Said Rei while bringing Nigou closer to Kagami.

"So far from me!" Kagami said getting away.

"Come on Kagami-kun, touch him. Otherwise, I'll cry." Said Rei as his eyes were already glazed over. Those who heard that felt disbelief in what Rei said. But they also wanted to look further at Kagami's fearful expression.

"Yes yes" said Kagami as he walked closer with his trembling body. He slowly raised his still trembling hand to touch Nigou. Suddenly Nigou barked and it made Kagami instantly faint.

Finally, they were forced to lift Kagami back home first they could go home to each other.

In his room, Rei was laughing at Kagami when he fainted earlier. He was happy because he could work on it. He decided to take a shower because he felt that his body was sticky. After taking a bath, he lay down on his bed and slowly closed his eyes and headed towards dreamland.

After securing a position in the final league, Seirin's team began training again. But Kagami still hasn't exercised until his legs are fully healed. Nigou then goes into the gym, Kagami instantly dodges.

"Not that with the dog?" Riko asked when she saw that Kagami was already away with a scared face.

"That's how" said Kagami who had been limp in the corner.

Seeing that, Riko just shrugged her shoulders. Kuroko then approaches Kagami while carrying Nigou.

"Kagami-kun, don't say that." Kuroko.

"Don't look at me with similar eyes!" Kagami.

"He's cute, right?" Said Kuroko while chasing after Kagami by bringing Nigou.

"Stop! Watch out for you, Kuroko! I'll kill you later!" Said Kagami while running away from Kuroko.
