Become a Manager At Kuroko No Basket
Chapter 23

Right now, Rei was walking home with Kuroko, Kagami and Hyuga.

"What's up, Kagami-kun?" Kuroko asked as she looked at the expression on Kagami's face that seemed to be thinking about something.

"Is that about Kiyoshi-senpai's knee?" Said Rei which made them surprised. "Hyuga-senpai, can you tell me about what happened last year?" His face with a serious face.

Hyuga looks to breathe for a moment.

"Sooner or later you will know. It started last summer..." Hyuga started to tell. The three of them watched him carefully.

Hyuga began to tell stories from the beginning of his meeting with Kiyoshi to how Kiyoshi suffered an injury and had to be hospitalized because of his injury.

"That's the story." Hyuga ends her story.

"Hanamiya Makoto, he is the most cheating player. I'm so upset to remember that face." Said Rei with his grim face. 

Rei was indeed very unhappy with things smelling of cheating like that done by Hanamiya, no wonder he was so annoyed by it.

"Don't take this matter too seriously. It's just a story of the past. You don't have to worry about it." Hyuga.

They then split up. As usual, Rei is escorted home by Kagami and Kuroko.

SKIP TIME

Currently, Seirin and Kirisaki Dai Ichi's team were warming up before the match started. Even Touou's team also came to watch the match even though Aomine came by being forced by the other team members. The team from Kaijou also came.

"I'm not interested in seeing this match, but they look really ferocious today." Said Aomine who was paying attention to team member Seirin. His attention then turned to Rei who was taking notes and paying attention to team member Kirisaki Dai Ichi.

'She looks even more beautiful when focused like that.' Inner Aomine while grinning.

On the other hand, Kise was also watching Rei.

'Reicchi made me fall in love even more when I saw him seriously like that.' Inner Kise.

Rei then looked at Hanamiya Makoto, he then looked at her with a sharp look.

'We will definitely defeat you today, just look!' Inner Rei.

The match started, but Kirisaki Dai Ichi had been cheating a lot and the referee was completely unaware of it.

Rei looked so upset that he grabbed the clipboard he used to use. Kagami also ignited his emotions and was about to hit one of the opposing players who cheated on him. Fortunately, Kuroko stopped him before that happened.

"I'm angry too. But hitting them for our senpai is not the right way. We have to beat them with basketball." Kuroko.

"You're right. Sorry." Said Kagami while looking down and clenching his hands. He turned to the Senpai and apologized.

Riko then asked for a time out. The team members playing are resting on the bench. Hyuga's arm is bruised. Seeing that, Rei immediately brought a compress to reduce his bruising.

Teppei continues to be attacked by a team from Kirisaki Dai Ichi. He remained even though his body was already full of bruises.

'Kiyoshi is amazing. He was able to endure the pain he received.' Inner Rei.

Teppei was again attacked and this time not kidding. His forehead bled. The match was suspended temporarily. Rei immediately entered the field and treated his injuries.

The first round is over. All the members of Seirin's team are in the dressing room. Kagami immediately kicked the long bench that had been provided to hit the locker. Riko hit him with the clipboard that Rei used.

"Basic! Don't vent your anger on inanimate objects." Omel Riko's.

"Kiyoshi, are you okay?" Izuki asked who was worried about Teppei's state.

"Yes, I'm fine." Answer Teppei.

"Damn it! I'm really mad!" Said Kagami while bowing himself on the long bench.

"Don't ruin anything." Kuroko's Advice.

"Shut up! I know that! But, I didn't think you'd be as calm..." Kagami hangs up his sentence in surprise to see Kuroko with her angry face and dark aura around her.

'Kuroko when angry turned out to be very scary. When I was watching it on my laptop it didn't feel anything, but now I feel a little scared.' Inner Rei.

The team from Kirisaki Dai Ichi also intends to replace the player. Since changing players, Hanamiya has continued to steal the ball from Seirin's team, especially from Izuki. Seirin was having trouble because of it.

During the break, Izuki was ignited by his emotions because the ball was always stolen. Koganei tried to calm him down.

"We might be able to break free." Said Kuroko who made them all pay attention to her. "If I stop playing as a team."

"What do you mean, Kuroko?" Ask Kagami.

"As I said earlier, the four of you keep playing as usual." Kuroko.

"That's it." Riko.

"Our team can do it." Rei said with confidence.

The match resumed. Kuroko was re-entered in the match. Seirin started to catch up. But, Teppei was again attacked. 

'I'm so upset! I want to beat them!' The enraged Inner Rei saw that.

Riko immediately asked for a time out upon seeing that. 

"There are some things I want to say, but..." Riko took a breath and exhaled before continuing her sentence. "First, you've reached your limit. You'll be replaced, Teppei." Riko said while looking at Teppei.

"What's? Wait up! Another bit! If you get me out now..." Teppei was about to protest but his speech was cut by Riko.

"No. If the same thing as last year repeats itself, you'd rather hate me." Said Riko with eyes that began to glaze over.

Teppei who saw Riko like that was immediately stunned.

"I agree." Rei said with eyes that showed sadness. "I don't have a sister, I already consider senpai to be my sister. So please.don't force yourself again..." Continue with a pleading tone.

"I'm sick of it!" Hyuga said, standing in front of Teppei. "Our point is to leave everything to us! Shut up and sit down!"

Teppei was silent for a moment.

"I leave the rest to you." Teppei was replaced by Mitobe.

The team members who will compete re-enter the field. Seirin's team managed to catch up and lead the numbers. Hanamiya is very upset and intends to attack Kuroko, fortunately Kuroko managed to avoid him.

Finally, Seirin managed to win the match and qualify for the Winter Cup. They all cheered happily celebrating their victory. Rei was just watching them all.

'I.unknowingly.considered them as my family. I am so grateful to be able to come to this world.' Inner Rei. Unknowingly her tears flowed down her cheeks and a smile adorned her face.

On the other hand, Shutoku also won the match against the Senshinkan and qualified for the Winter Cup.

Kuroko was playing basketball alone on the basketball court outside the stadium.

"Everybody wants to go." Said Kagami who appeared suddenly.

"Don't scare me like that. You're making me mad." Kuroko.

"That's how I've felt since! Basic...what are you doing?" Said Kagami who was getting upset and approached Kuroko. He simply put his bag in any place.

"sorry. I just can't be quiet." Kuroko then throws the ball in her hand and Kagami accepts.

"Too excited, huh?" Kagami then played the ball.

"I don't know. Ever since we won and qualified for the Winter Cup, I've been impatient until my body doesn't stop shaking." Kuroko.

Kagami then smiled. "That's called being too excited." Kagami throws the ball back in his hand at Kuroko. Kuroko then catches him.

"What are you guys doing here? The others are waiting. Come on." Said Rei who was standing not far away from them.

Rei then walked ahead of them towards where the other members were waiting. The two of them immediately followed in silence.
