Forced Marriage: Thirteenth Wife

Forced Marriage: Thirteenth Wife
10. Too Many Rules

"Can't I call my mom for a second? Just a minute."

The waiter who came to bring food to Roxanne's room immediately looked agitated.

Usually they just put food in front of the door, but it seems like Graean ordered something for them to bring her into the room so Roxanne wouldn't have to go out.

"I'm sorry, miss, it's forbidden," she replied nervously.

"Who by?"

"Rules."

The answer was not from the servant but rather Diane who had suddenly stood in the doorway.

The woman gestured for the maid to leave the room, then she entered, sitting on the end of Roxanne's bed without permission.

"That was Narendra's absolute rule long ago. Their wives have no family. That's why Narendra is only always married to the child they raised themselves."

Roxanne frowned. "But Madam said this is Yasa, not Narendra."

"Who is Yasa?"

"What?"

"not nobody. Just a name of insults. So what right does Yasa have against Narendra? There aren't. At least you should understand that."

So in essence Roxanne can't even contact Mom? He was forbidden to carry a cell phone.

In this house there is no home phone even television. The only thing that looks to use electricity is lights, water, and then air conditioning.

"I understand." Roxanne could do nothing. "But why did you come? Definitely not because you want to have a casual conversation, right?"

Diane shrugged her shoulders. "The First Lady asked me to look at your condition. Also accompany if you want to go to the library again."

"I went to the library because of you, Diane."

"Don't talk like I'm trying to frame you. Who knew you were in the library when Young Master was there?"

Yeah, that's right.

Roxanne was finally silent, sitting holding her bowl of wheat porridge.

This porridge is not delicious. It tastes disgusting even when given pieces of grapes, strawberries and bananas. He said it was healthy food, so inevitably it had to be eaten.

"Then" Roxanne turned away from the disgusting porridge, "why don't you just tell me everything?"

"Poor you, you mean?"

Roxanne jerks. "I'm not—"

But Roxanne doesn't know exactly what to find out. What exactly does he have to know?

If Narendra is a large family that even has been established since two hundred years ago, then .. is not a person without education like Roxanne naturally do not know?

The one Roxanne knows only sells her services, comforting disgusting men with pretty faces in order to be given money.

What does he know about who Yasa is who Narendra is?

"Eat and change your clothes." Diane. "Let's take a walk. At least I can do that as a brother."

A brother? Not competition?

Roxanne still very much did not understand many things, but she obediently ate and went to change her clothes.

But just as Roxanne appeared at the door, Diane was already clucking.

"Wear proper clothes, Roxanne. That's a nightshirt."

How can this fancy dress with nice and complicated fabric even be called a nightgown? This is a casual dress in the summer!

"Take this." Diane suddenly dismantled her closet, taking out a large dress that looked heavy and complicated. "Wear this kind of dress when out. That's also the rule."

Too many annoying rules. But Roxanne could only grumble in her head, rushing to get changed.

Indeed she looks beautiful when looking in the mirror, but her dress still looks more like she is even a bride.

Well, fine. Whatever. Roxanne will obey everything if that's the way not to harass Elios.

"Diane." Roxanne follows Diane's upright steps that run in front of her. "I want to ask you something simple."

"What?" the woman replied calmly. Maybe he'll answer if it's just a simple thing.

"Who is the most important woman in this house?"

"Castels. Even if the Young Master is now named Yasa, he does not live in a small place called home."

That's important, huh? Akh, whatever.

"Okay, castle. Who is the most important woman in this castle?"

"Mrs First, of course. He's Young Master's favorite."

No, what Roxanne said. Graean is special.
